Hybrid systems are excellent. I retrofitted a diesel powered 28 foot boat with 2 electric pod drives. 40 mile range on electric and cost of boat plus electrification was less than 2% of the cost of this boat!
Enjoyable tour Hugo, thanks. It seems eco friendly on deck, yet clad with teak and marble brown decks 🤷🏼♂️ I’d imagine smaller engines would be more eco friendly than this setup 🧐 Reminds me of hybrid super cars 🤪
That's a nice looking yacht, nice finishes and a good layout. It is nice to have a choice of engine styles, obviously like cars everyone seems to think electric is the future but the batteries are enormous and definitely not "green" but it gives an alternative power source. Nice tour Hugo thank you.
Greenline produces yachts up to 58 feet. Azimut Seadeck 6 is 57.5 feet LOA. What is your point ? What is the difference between a "motorboat" and a "luxury motor yacht", apart from the totally subjective concept of "luxury" ? I personally do not find IKEA products particularly luxurious, so why is Azimut a luxury product when it's interior fit-out slavishly apes that rotary-cut veneer covered ply / mdf board with iron-on / glued plastic edge-banding rectilinear interior furniture ? Does Azimut use "luxury" versions of the same Volvo engines as Greenline, or are their hulls made of "luxury" GRP ? Do they use a "luxury" computer aided design programme to design and produce the inner linings and furniture mouldings ?
Thanks Hugo nice tour really appreciate to see something a little different. Was there a tender garage/Crew Cabin? Hoping you have one coming of the Seadeck6 as well.
nice,,, they should have a couple of gensets to run the drive motors as well like the numarine or just have no diesel drive motors just electric powered by gensets
If a Bluegame and an Arcadia had a baby......there it is. This reminds me a lot of the Van DerValk 'Lucy Penguin' I think That 60' Bluegame-ish, yacht before Bluegame was on the scene. This is cute because it's small,,but guves you the ability to carry the jet ski and the tender, or other toys.
First production hybrid electric yacht ? Only if you have never heard of Greenline, who have offered this type of system throughout their range for years. And if you don't realise that this Azimut is NOT YET IN PRODUCTION WITH THE HYBRID SYSTEM, only conventional diesels. So no...
.if we can complicate things, why to uncomplicate ???? a large Pandora's box of inefficiency and absurd costs.... imagine the amount of electrical and electronic components embarked on this project just to say that it is different.... besides having absurd maintenance in the mechanics will still have to navigate in the range of 13 knots to sail 300 miles... boat made to offer parties on board and touch the beach to make barbecue.....
Nice fit and finish, terrible layout, plus accessing the fly from a weather hatch and ladder next to a 30" bulwark, out of view of other passengers and crew, is darn dangerous.
Oh dear, yet another ridiculous virtue signal, nothing about this is green, all it is is a diesel powered boat with unfixable electric addons, oh and batteries that if water gets to them may explode, Lithium fires are no joke, besides, one look at the price will tell you, this is a boat for those with too much money and no sense at all.
Only a couple of idiotic comments about "dangerous batteries", I'm surprised. Maybe if you got your tech news from literally any other source, and not Daily Mail or Mail online, you might be in danger of writing an informed comment instead of the tripe that is forthcoming. Non fossil fuel based propulsion is quite literally the way forward, we'll be seeing much more of it in the coming years, whether you like it or not.

Do these people not eat? That’s a really underwhelming galley for a boat of that size.

Having to work on those engines looks like an absolute nightmare…
Gorgeous boat for going out for a night or two with friends/family though.
My bad, I’m well aware of Greenline but they are mostly sub 50ft motorboats rather than luxury motor yachts.

This is a Seadeck 7 of 70ft
Thanks Hugo nice tour really appreciate to see something a little different.
Was there a tender garage/Crew Cabin?

Thanks Hugo.
Was there a tender garage, i didn't see.
Hopefully, with a solar charged electric motor? 👍

Wow. Very interesting. It seems the future to me.
That salon is a bit measly for a 70ft boat. And the kitchen is in the bridge? Not for me.
cool if they could provide lots of solar panel area so when leaving the boat parking for weeks..itll charge up

Cork doesn't stain like teak either, and it's cheaper. I would prefer it over teak every day of the week.
I would ❤to see a sea trial.
LOL I should wait till the end of videos before making a comment. 23:21
I think this boat is suitable for me as an owner operator. So how to book it?😊😊
Bizarre kitchen
I mean… it’s a pretty terrible layout. Compare this to the absolute 64..even 58.. crazy
Yep. Navetta 64 layout is like 10x better this
Hope this system sells....

Well... it's not a new system 😅

Great content but horrible camera. I think your content would get a lot more views if you upgraded to something with better video quality.

Lithium batteries are very dangerous.. special on boats
Where's the source of your evidence to support this nugget of information....let me guess....😂
Thanks your expert opinion. Will take that into consideration since you know so much.
