    The thing that gets lost in all this is that the Chiefs have three HOF-level coaches, and have had that consistency for the past 5 years: Andy Reid, Steve Spagnuolo, and Dave Toub (special teams). They have also had Brett Veach and his staff evaluating and navigating personnel decisions, and all of them are on the same page.
    Everyone wants to talk about the individual players, but the coaches are who set the tone and what make them so resilient. Injuries happen to all teams, but the consistent coaching (and Patrick Mahomes) is what makes them so tough to beat.

      This is the underrated part. All the important coaches are seasoned and not getting HC looks anymore which stops the brain drain that other contenders have to deal with as far as staff turnover. All these 3rd and 4th year defensive starters have only played in one system and it's showing on that side of the ball for sure.

    • @thatstheway2429
      @thatstheway2429 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      I’ve always said that the most underrated part of the Chiefs dynasty is their ability to develop DBs. It’s why I think it was so easy for them to move on from Sneed. He was a 3rd rounder himself, they’d previously moved on from Ward, etc.
      They always have really good players in the secondary, and are deep.
      If there’s one way to lose games in this league it’s having a bad secondary.

    Stop saying they have the falcons calls on the last drive. It’s 2 way different situations. The one on Pitts is the biggest play. Because falcons will be on the 1 yard line. KC has a good defense it’s not easy to score on them. So if you take away the best chance falcons had to score and replace it with a 1st down on the 40 to 50 yard line. It’s not the same. And it was legit flags that should’ve been called. But the one on Pitts and mmm is the most important because it’s pretty much authentic that falcons score with 4 downs on the 1 yard line

    Biggest takeaway from this game is back-to-back wins for them coming off refs showing up. If they call that PI on the Bengals but don't show up to call it on them when ATL was inside the 5 late in the 4th, we have issues with the fundamentals and quite frankly NFL games are compromised with this problem. The Chiefs fans will just tell you people hating on the GOAT team, but in reality the team is mid and has a ref call backing to the likes we never seen in the history of the game.

    There were bad calls (or missed calls) BOTH ways. Yeah, the Pitts non-call was the biggest blunder. But, take a close look at ALL the calls, and I mean, ALL the calls, both last week and this week in the Chiefs games. And, what you get, are people picking and choosing what calls to talk about. There have been as many bad (or non) calls against the Chiefs as for them. They just are not getting highlighted. Yeah, the Pitts non-call was a BLUNDER. But, the refs made two BAD calls Against the Chiefs on the very next drive that Atlanta had. Giving Atlanta the opportunity to convert 3rd&1 & 4th&1. Had Atlanta converted either of those, then all the bad (or non) calls would have actually cost the Chiefs the game, because they would have had no time to respond to that last Atlanta drive.

    It's funny how ATL fans are so focused on one call when:
    ATL scored 3 points in the 2nd half.
    They opted to go on 4th instead of kick a FG down 22-17 and would have been down 22-20 on the final drive.
    Had drives of 7, 49, 83, and 49 yards in the 2nd half.
    Paid Cousins a pile of money just to run it their last two offensive plays.
    ATL didn't play bad, but that second half was rough for just 3 points. Kicking FGs would have won the game the way Mahomes was playing and with how Reid plays conservative with a 22-20 lead late in games.
