I got you, Kyle Brandt. 170+ yds in a single game by a TE. Kittle did it in 2018, 2020, and 2021 Hockensen did it in 2022 Kelce did it in 2023. Shannon Sharpe still the king with 214 yds in 2002.
Nobody talking how the eagles are atrocious every year barely scrapping out wins and pretending y'all are at all relevant. Y'all's entire division is a joke. Chief's are already proven to be champions this season.
It wasn't just AJ and Smith out, Covey, Slay, Lane Johnson, Bradberry,, Beckton. They had second stringers out there making plays, big plays when they needed them. The whole team came together for that win. Everyone on that team earned their check.

My issue this week is simple: score more points. AJ Brown is not the only guy who can catch a football in the endzone. I am super proud of the defense, that absolutely redeemed themselves.
Yes. I understand that INT throw to Smitty in the Endzone sometimes happens. I hate seeing Jalen throw it away he gotta clean it up. Nick Sirianni has gotta take the FG's too. We coulda easily had between 24-28 pts yesterday had any of those things fallen through. Our defense is what won us the game yesterday.
Only took two weeks to figure out Derrick Carr in new offense. Carr stares down his wr’s down so enough underneath can be picked. Thus run the ball & let Carr throw deep.
Goedert became the 23rd tight end in NFL history with a 170-yard game, the first Eagles tight end since Pete Retzlaff gained 204 yards against Washington at Franklin Field in 1965.
To think Saquon was washed was absurd, this man was the Giants focal point on offense, a RB, idc what anyone says, Saquon is the best back in the game.
That was a defensive game. If it wasn't for the 2 big plays (Barkley's 65-yard TD and Goedert's 61-yard catch), the Saints would've won in a shut out. As a Saints fan, the Eagles D won that game. That entire unit dictated the entire game.
@@Mr.McCann978I think the Eagles gave every team the key to defeating the Saints. Pressure Carr up front and he folds every single time. The Saints have a good team. Not sure they are championship caliber, however. But time will tell
That's what I'm saying as a Saints fan. This was a defensive game, and the team that gave up the least amount of big plays won. If it wasn't for Barkley's 65-yard TD and Goedert's 61-yard catch, the Saints would've won. Great defensive plays by both teams, and props to the Eagles D for not breaking like the Saints D did.

Incredible that he did that in a run first era. Some context though is Goedert is the 3rd or 4th throwing option in that offense. Sharpe was the 2nd behind McCaffery I believe. It took injuries for Goedert to get that sort of volume.
Two things people need to realize about this game. 1) The Saints are not who people think they are and 2) The Eagles are a good team that did not play their starters in pre season. While the Eagles will get better this season and probably win their division the Saints will slide and likely not make the playoffs. Derek Carr is NOT all that.
CARR WASNT ON THE FIELD WHEN THE DEFENSE COLLAPSED ON THE 3RD AND SIXTEEN DEBACLE!!! On the interception Sheed ran a LAZY ROUTE!! The Pass was perfect, it was all on Sheed, a mediocre wideout!!!!!
Not making excuses, but Saints lost their center in the beginning of the game. Saints were moving ball and game changed when center went out. It was a win but please don't get any delusions of grandeur.
and the Eagles didn't have AJ Brown, Covey, Bradberry or Beckton playing and on top of that Lane Johnson, Smitty and Slay all got injured during that game and still came out on top. Not making excuses but the Eagles were able to overcome that and the Saints couldn't. Good teams find a way to win despite how many injuries stack up. Sorry for having a bit of hope when they won a game with multiple important pieces missing from the start of the game to the end of the game. It also helps when the other HC is also bad and leaves points on the field.
The Saints are simply not that good. The 40'ish points were because the teams they played simply didn't match up. All off-season, the reporters covering the Saints were saying how bad the Saints O-line was, so this wasn't a surprise. Losing McCoy early in the first quarter certainly didn't help. As the season goes, the Saints should improve on the o-line..a little. But the recipe to beat them is now on display in this game. Kubiak and the offensive coaches will have to figure something out.
What are you talking about, the only reason the Saints lost is because our dam coach wouldn't kick the Field Goal. The Saint's defense caused a fumble and a interception both that set the team up to walk away with 3 points but our coach would not kick it to save his life
People always act like teams aren’t good after Eagles beat them. Smh Saints have always had good defense. Hurts first game as a starter 4 years ago was against the Saints, they were the number one team with the number one ranked defense even then. Eagles even got two players that were cut from the Saints.

Him and Davis really took over that game

The best game that defensive front has had in a long time! Jalen Carter was a man on a mission yesterday.
