You can attach a lanyard to the pocket clip. It has a hole at the top of the clip and also on the face of thr clip which you could use either to attach a lanyard to. I would say the main benefit to this tool is the choice of the 4 main tools which are the knife, saw, file and scissors while having a bit driver and then an awl, pry bar, and can opener. For me those are the main tools I use and look for in a multitool and having those 4 tools they do as thr main tools just makes it that much better. Its also a bonus that everything is one handed accessable. Its also nice that it solves the pinching pliers issue on previous models where it would pinch the meat of your hand with the pliers when slipping off of something. I wouod also say that Leatherman has thr beet plier head as well as the highest quality of engineering aside from victorinox. Gerber and SOG have lousy quality IMO. This looks like a home run to me. I woukd say that they would be better off with a lessor steel on thr knife blade to bring the orice ooint down IMO. For those who care about the highest steeeo for the knife blade are going to cary a primary knife anyways IMO. I woukd rather see this under $200.00, although that may be a reflection on the current inflation we are facing.
Ive wanted one since I heard about it but I recently got me a spirit mx clip from victorinox and it's amazing great finish and smooth jaws and the pliers has finer teeth in it compared to Leatherman even tho the pliers head is thicker but the victorinox has better tools then the p4 great for edc
Yeah i have the swisstool x and Spirit mxbs. If I end up getting yet another multitool, it will probably be the spirit x. I already have the charge tti+ and surge, but the victorinox multitools are just more fun to use, aesthetic and probably more functional and long lasting. I might get the Arc but only if I see a really good deal on it. Maybe cyber monday next year. No way its going on sale any time this year.
Turn the bit kit around to face the tool. It goes in and comes out a lot smoother and the sheath stiching will last a lot longer. BTW the Ainsworth leather sheath M will fit it as well as the P4. You can use the top of the clip as a laniard hole...

Agree it could be cheaper, but really knives with those blades are selling for $200 ea without the attached multi-tool. So overall it may not be a horrible deal. I still like the surge and the charge more, but it's a pretty good tool. Once they fix the cutter.. but all the new ones have the same issue!
You have great recommendations but when it comes to manufacturing and making sure margins are there. Tough to add all the features you mentioned. I would buy yours tho if it was made haha.
💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 i’m so excited to get mine it’s got all the tools I want and need, the only thing I would want is a serrated blade, but tbh I’m happy with everything in it.
@@AdAce21 oh no I’d deffo use both but serrated blades cut cleaner with some things , like cord or bungee cords stuff like that… but I’ve never used a Magnacut blade so I don’t know 😂
Serrated blades are generally much more superior when cutting non-uniform material such as rope and multilayered cord of different materials.. Admittedly I’ve never use magnacut either but I’ve found that even a 440 serrated blade will cut better than an S30V regular blade. But yes a straight blade will be superior with precision cuts. Survey most climbers, whether it be arborists, base jumping, etc and most of them will prefer a serrated blade.
You can see the heat treatment process in the promo video from leatherman Arc video. Not sure what to expect from huge batch ht... The S30V was always dull. Honing everyday. Ease of sharpening 3/10, edge retention 4/10. Corrosion resistance 10/10. The Chinese m390 replacement blade for the Charge from aliexpress is light years ahead. Both in ER and EOS. C'mon leatherman improve
😀 hi I will probably get one anyway so I can add it to my collection I am not too worried about the price as long it's not too expensive I am expecting the high demand when it is released on the 17th of October anyway it look very cool enjoy it 😘

great idea about flicking the knife blade!

Thank you
Bought this because all the tools are outside accessible. Hopefully it lives up to the hype

Awesome man. Thanks for watching
Legitimately curious: what would you use the serrated blade for that the manga cut blade couldn’t handle? Or is it just a preference thing?

Another day another #Leatherman #Arc Video by @appleztooranges. This is our live now. When MagnaCut replacement blade for the Charge TTI?
Lol I don’t think it’ll ever on the tti
Found my niche
@@appleztoorangesnot leatherman officially but someone has to!
I’m excited man, hoping this tool will last me a lifetime
It should!
Any leatherman should last a life time with they're warranty
25 years isn't to chevy. Unless it's your life expectation

From what I understand, the arc has more US components. The Magnacut comes FROM Crucible Metals.
Could you do a test on the magnacut blade just cutting things and that curious to see how good the blade is
I had a video last week on cutting vs s30v blade and 420 hc

Thanks for checking my channel out again. I’m excited for you to get one as well
@@appleztooranges ok
You failed to cover The Bad part of the Can Opener. Try using it to open a can of tuna or the like. No cheating. Then compare that to a Swiss tool.
Doing that now
I recently ordered this Arc and came without the bits??
wtf. I’d be pissed. Did you order from Leatherman?
@@appleztooranges yes and can’t get them to reply
@@johnkissack5295 wow sorry man that sucks
Ordered the P4 but sent it back because it felt so flimsy compared to my Charge TTi, is the ARC sturdier?
About same
@@appleztooranges I assume same as Charge not Free P4? ;) Thanks!

Love it!
**The Good The Bad and the Ugly in the Leatherman Arc! Let’s do one last one haha
Can you file your nails with that file?
Unsure. Never tried
Yes. I'm doing it at jobsite every time a nail ruptures. The dia side is good to take the burr off from the coarse side
Use a pink nail filer 😂
@@LosRijihe talking about finger nails 💅
honestly, the arc is just a bad deal for anything else than collecting multitools.
