- Twist drill grinding jig made from plans (download link below) using stock steel.
Not finished 100% as it could do with a file running over it, but function is greater than kerb appeal :P
A fair bit of work to make this, including some awkward set ups in the lathe, but very enjoyable to build.
The drill sharpened here was 11mm and the metal drilled was 5mm not 4mm

Thank you! Looks like a fair amount of work. After having a drill doctor and throwing it out and using the vintage drill jig is much better. Other options to costly for my small workshop. I think this will like a dream to use.

That's really great. I have many hundreds of Model Engineers, that included this. But did not have the time to do what you have done. Will put a link to your video on mine, for people who want to make this great drill sharpener.
