    I enjoyed watching and seeing your lovely projects! I was watching while sitting knitting socks and my husband was tying flies. He was surprised when you mentioned tying flies - on a knitting podcast! Lol! He's been tying them since he was a teenager (he's now 71) and has become quite good! Fished the Farmington River here in CT on Thursday. His favorite place to fish. Happy knitting...and fishing!

    Maine is obviously known for it's coastal towns, but my hometown of Bethel in the western mountains is also a major tourist location. While we were named the best ski town in North America in 2020, we are also a great place to visit in summer and fall if you like hiking, swimming, fishing and other outdoor activities. ❤

    The Spark Cardi is beautiful! Love the Farm Girl in the stash busting colors. Wish I lived closer BC the project I have tried literally like 30 times (not exaggerating) and keep having to frog is driving me nuts. Cannot get a size big enough to fit my hubby's head! This was so much fun. So glad you left in the rambling. It makes it so much more fun. :)

    For you La Poof since the arms are longer than the body you can use your first yellow color at the bottom of the sleeves after the other colors have been used.

    MAINE??!!! You’ll be in my neighborhood!! If you’re here July or later, check out the Maine Yarn Cruise. It’s so fun, so many great shops!! And if you like the old timey country stores, highly recommend Nezinscot Farm in Turner, Machias River General in Machias and Hussey’s in Windsor. Hussey’s is literally the everything store. One of its claims to fame is that you can get your dress for your wedding there and the shotgun too!! 😂 And if you get missing the Alpacas, take a visit to Northern Solstice Alpaca Farm. So much I could recommend!! Any meetup or meet and greet plans while you’re here??

    Great episode!!! I love the impromptu moments! Leanne, your sweater is gorgeous. I am a drop off point for Soap S.A.C.K.S and my local pantry begs for them, Liz-I'd love your pattern. Can you share?

    Listen to JK Rowling's words in her post not the twisted media articles and you'll see she not anti anything, she's pro women and speak in defense of herself. Shes not a hater ❤

    JK is not anti-trans. She is pro-woman. And that is okay.

      As a long time bookseller who has seen famous authors trashed and great books not read because of things the author feels or believes I personally think we can all disagree, if we choose, and yet continue to appreciate the books. Rowling has supported LGBTQ for decades and may have her own insecurities regarding women. Even if we disagree with her, that is obviously her past reality and I don't think she is anti anything. I also don't think we all have to agree to still see each other as good people. I quite enjoy seeing an opposite perspective on things. It's a main reason I read 😆

    • @jonellesandel1066
      @jonellesandel1066 ปีที่แล้ว

      Example for New York magazine summarizing what Rowling does “Every time she starts talking about trans issues, Rowling seems to resurface another damaging and debunked misconception. She has claimed, erroneously, that youths who transition often “grow out of their dysphoria” and regret their decision - an attitude that is, right now, guiding Republicans as they restrict access to gender-affirming care for minors. She has speculated that hormone therapy is just “a new kind of conversion therapy for young gay people.” In that sense, beliefs like Rowling’s are dangerous - particularly when they’re peddled by a figure with her level of reach and influence.” Rowling is both pro biological sex and anti-trans, she just doesn’t get it. All of her actors in the Potter series won’t work with her anymore.

      And I won’t further comment because I love the Coup and want to focus on knitting. People can certainly peacefully disagree, which is good, but it’s a more complicated issue than just saying someone is pro women and a false dichotomy. I am also pro women and pro trans.
