Thanks for the book recommendations. I love historical fiction, and definitely if based on a true story. I just finished Demon Copperhead, long but a great story. Just started The Keeper of the Hidden Books. For my aunt's funeral a few years ago, the procession stopped at her house and my cousins left a bouquet at the front door, very sweet. When my dad passed away, the procession went through town out down the highway towards the only cementary was (tiny town), and the police went ahead and stopped traffic at the exit ramps, both ways, and as we drove by one of the police cars, the officer stood outside his vehicle and saluted as we drove by. That was the most respect I had ever seen anyone being paid in our little town.

I’m listening to Stephen King’s Fairy Tale. It’s really good. I’m about halfway in and it’s not gory or too creepy.

Memories of GPop are the best! My Grandpa wanted to live until the year 2020, because he use to watch the tv show 2020. I’m so glad he didn’t have to live through the pandemic. I love Stephanie’s yarn (Blackbird Sycamore). Your socks turned out cute!

Just found you ladies. Paige told me about this knit along a couple of years ago, but I didn’t realize that you hosted it, so fun! I’m trying a new sock pattern called the Polar Arc by Jeny Staiman that is a completely different construction than I’ve ever done before, and to through a little extra twist I’m doing the toe up version two at a time. I’m usually a top down sock knitter, so we’ll see how it goes. Really enjoyed you’re episode. Just to let you know I’m half of the team behind Pine Barren Knits here on TH-cam. Happy New Year!

LeAnn. Just saw that Area 51 Fibers is starting a Gilbert Girls monthly self striping sock club!. They are a Canadian company so yarn is nicely priced , however shipping is somewhat high! But since you’re a fan thought I’d let you know in case you didn’t follow them on IG.

I got a CSM and am going to be cranking tubes and hopefully a full sock with it this year!

Firstly, wishing you both a Wonderful New Year full of health and happiness in 2024. Didn’t have much success with my new to you sock knitting on a 9” circular last year, but this year going to try your idea Leanne of making a brioche head band. Have never made any before. Loved the idea your Mom had with giving you both the yarn from one of your alpacas, sad story but you’ll always have the memories in your creations.

I have sock tubes!! I need to learn afterthought heels!!
