Yes. My understanding is that this is how many traditional compressors fail. The seal on the drive shaft fails, resulting in all refrigerant leaking out. No such problem with these ones though 👍
Good stuff, Jose. Appreciate the info. I'm also wondering what you meant as far as not using it in cool weather or not setting the temp low. It's typically over 100* F outside where I'm at, so selecting 60 or 70 won't make a difference, the AC will never get the interior of the car to that temp.
Hey there, I've got one of those refurbished, do you know by any chance what voltage they are working with, so I can build a DC/DC to make it work! Thanks
Hey @hybridsolutiondiagnostics your channel and training program is great! I'm slowly working on making toyota prius gen2 fully electric. My interface board might intrest you for training and trouble shooting gen2 prius. Keep up the good work!
Great video. Could you do one on the Toyota Prius brake accumulator system. They are experiencing a high failure rate in older cars. Does changing the fluid regularly help increase their lifespan. Why are they not rebuildable. There are only new ones available and they are very expensive. You would be the one to know. 👍
I have 2012 Camry hybrid. AC sometimes works sometimes does not. Freon is fine. Hybrid battery lights came on. Could the hybrid battery be the problem for this.
Hello every one ... my 2021 prius with 30K miles having an issue during hot summer when hybrid become not responsive from time to time ... specially when cabin temp. Around 100 F. Is it normal ?
I have the same question as above "Don't use it in cool weather? OR don't select full cold on the temp knob?"
Great video, very interesting! I like how the hybrid AC doesn't use a belt-drive.

I'm also interested in seeing the Honda Vezel A/C compressor...

Honda vezel air conditioning not cooling well, changed the cabin filter ,still not cooling well.
What's usually the failure point on these? Electric motor? Or the piston?
No stupid shaft seal to leak or clutch to fail.
Waw
We are selling auto parts of electric ac compressor
