Hi, very good video - thank you! One question on the oil you used - is SWAG 30914738 (ATF IV) the correct oil for Peugeot 308 fitted with AL4 gearbox? I will be changing my gearbox oil for the first time soon, and autodoc is pointing me to a different type of oil - SWAG 10922806 (ATF III / red color)?

@@redline222 yes, super easy to do engine oil, filter , air filter and cabin filter. I've also done the pads and discs and I'm by no means a great mechanic.

To drain the oil of the al4 automatic gearbox, loosen the screw under the automatic gearbox and drain 3 liters and overflow three liters again from above or drain six liters by the suction device. Which method is better
The first one is better. If You don't want to kill Your gearbox with the rubbish from down. Dealerships don't use the suction device.

Sorry, I am just the owner of the car... But for sure the problem of Your car is a wire or a connector. Not the gearbox. Try to check all connectors to gearbox. Maybe to use special fluid for water protection...

THE the purpose of the small screw inside the larger one is to allow you to drain out excess the car is meant to have 3.5 L not 4 L from memory so this car is over fill
There is no problem with overfill... 100.000km more and gearbox works perfect 🙂

@@andyhookigs4586 Yes, 4 litres are enough because You can not take out all oil. Real capacity is about 7 litres, but You can not take out oil from the toque converter, that's why - 4 is enough. Sorry for my English.

You will need 4 liters. But You can't change oil in torque converter, so, I changed oil 2 times after 5000 km. 4 + 4 liters = 8.

It show transmission capacity 6 litres, draining capacity 3 litres.
When i drain my 206 AL4, I measure, it drain 4 litres.
That service manual show you the way to add correct level of oil.
