  • Many people think that 3D scanners can automatically generate dimensional data directly from scanning, but this is not the case.
Technology has not yet reached that level of intelligence.
The real reverse drawing is to trace the line on the scan data to redraw, the software can not automatically display the data, you need to manually specify the distance from a point to a point (such as diameter or distance from surface to surface), and other dimensions will be displayed after the mark.
As our video shown, it is full step for 3d scanner to get the mold size and use in CNC:
First: Scan and get the 3d drawing data
Second: put the 3d drawing to the reverse software(UG,Creo,Solidworks,
    Catia ect),draw fine surfaces
Thrid: Draw a parting diagram if need a plastic die casting mold
Last: Use diagram to carve out molds or productsn with CNC
If it is used to detect sample processing errors, this is very simple; We import the scanned file STL and the original design draft STp into the detection software for analysis, and the software automatically calculates the deviation value and gets a specific report
