We enjoyed your long hike and look around the ship, Rachel and Wills. Our feet didn't hurt at all! Delicious looking dinner and fun aerial show. Yes, I'm sure art heists could be very lucrative! Usually pays more than bingo. Fun first couple days. Thanks for bringing us along.
Thanks for watching guys. It was a massive ship and lots of walking, but that was one of the best bits. We had a wonderful week and saw some lovely places. Glad you could join us. Cheers 🍻
We'd watched your video and we were braced for a long wait, we couldn't believe how quick it was! Yep, the limelight was a great night out. Cheers for watching 🍻
Brilliant guys and excited for our Iona adventure in May ! Toilet humour, turd jokes and a PIL shirt - Wills is on fire ! Look forward to the next instalment!
Lovely cruise, I've never been on a cruise before, it's never appealed if I'm completely honest BUT watching your P&O Iona video, I'm sold, I'd like to experience it, especially with your stop offs too! Those Jacuzzi's looked very inviting indeed! Pretty impressed with the room size, it's amazing how much can be fit into a cabin! The food in aqua looked very tasty! Wow! the entertainment is super impressive too. Shame about Hamburg, but Bremen sounds nice and maybe a chance to do it all over again? Really enjoyed the vlog, was fun!
This ship didn't really feel like a ship a lot of the time and the seas were so calm it didn't move at all! It was a great week and we loved the itinerary. Hopefully we've inspired you to try your first cruise! It's fun. Cheers for watching 🍻
Great episode and first day onboard. Loved the highlighter pen marking your activities in Horizon, so simple but never thought about doing that 😂 Off to watch Ep 2 now 😍
Hi guys! Glad check in was a breeze. Love the Quays so much, can see just how similar Arvia and Iona are. What an interesting show love the crazy bird 😂 looked like a great experience in the Limelight! Looking forward to the next vlog 💙🤩
Thanks so much guys. Yes, we'd watched so many P&O vlogs before we went, we decided it was 50 50 if it would be quick! Thankfully it was. We really want to try Arvia now. We really thought we'd find Iona too big, but we didn't at all! Loved it. Cheers for watching 🍻
Great to see all that is available on the ship...it's really a floating village. No wonder you had sore feet 🤣. Lots of amusement to while away the time. The pools looked lovely, small but there were quite a few I thought. Food choices- for everyone's taste. Great overal view of all that is on offer. See you again next time. Have a great week. 🇳🇱🙋♀🇳🇿👌
Thanks so much. We loved the itinerary too, Rotterdam was such a lovely city. Yes the ship was massive, but came to feel really homely and not too daunting as we went on. Cheers for watching 🍻
The beauty of the sea and the luxury of the ship are captured so beautifully in your video. Thank you for allowing us to be part of this unforgettable journey. ❤
Each time I engage with your content, I'm left in awe. As your devoted fan, I can't wait for your next video clip. Sending you warm greetings and wishing you boundless success!
Wonderful! Always enjoy the sea days...my time to relax. And yes, I think I did rather did a roll off the ship after seven days of what some would call non-stop eating!! lol
Do you know, we loved the sea days. We weren't sure on a cold cruise, but our days were so full and went by in a flash. We had to keep walking to keep the food at bay!!! Cheers for watching 🍻
This looks fun! We're yet to try a cruise. This looks like it might be a good introduction to the experience. It took me a moment to get Wills joke but then i groaned 😂
We will have to try a cruise one day, we only mainly go camping here in North Wales 🤭 but we love camping so much ! The ship looked so big but good it was an efficient check in and the food looked good. Wise advice to get in the queue early in order to get a seat for the night entertainment. Your cabin looked good too 🙂👍~ Anna
It was a lovely week and the beds were really comfy (our main big bear with camping!!). The ship was beautiful and the biggest ship we've ever done. Cheers for joining us. 🍻
I'd say Wills possesses some brilliant origami inspired folding skills for those luggage labels. "Beast of a ship" indeed and looks to be well organized and tidy. Quite the variety of things to see, do ,eat and drink. Good thing there were many decks to explore and walk it all off. Looks like you both enjoyed the food from the different styles of restaurants , along with the many bars, beers and wines on board. Glad that your ship avoided any of those nasty " Bluetooth" icebergs ; Wills just had to mention! Perhaps someday we'll try our first cruise. Cheers!
Cheers, it was a beautiful ship. Yep I'm rubbish at folding and would be terrible at origami, Wills has to do anything food related! I think our favourite thing was just walking. The sea was calm and it was lovely to walk. Cheers for watching 🍻
We have been looking forward to seeing you two set sail on your jollies guys 😊👊🍻. Wow, that ship is huge! 😳. Looked like a city on the sea! Sooo many bars and restaurants on board, we look forward to seeing you sample them all! 😋. Nice one for braving the chilly sea air for a swim 🏊♀️👌. Looking forward to seeing your 'millions' of other cruise videos😂. These diary vlogs are our fave 😊👌. Have a great week Rach and Wills Shell and Pete 😊🍻👊👍
We really enjoyed cruising with you two! Makes us want to book a cruise it’s been 20 years for us! Interesting that you had to make so many reservations ahead of time. Feel bad for that other passenger. Fun video guys. ~Cara 😊
Wow, we've found that crushing has changed a lot in the last even 10 years. It's certainly changed since I worked on the them in the late 90's. Cheers for watching and coming with us. Glad you enjoyed it 🍻
Wow! You two have had such busy 1st & 2nd days. The ship is gorgeous! I have to say I LOVE the pours of wine they give! They are huge! Here in the US it seems they are always such small pours but huge $$$ haha. The shows seemed to be fun as well. Loving your diary vlog style 😊.
Thanks so much for watching. We loved our week on board. It's such beautiful ship. Those were small wines too!! Thanks again for dropping by and cheers 🍻
Ahhh! This is triggering our Iona memories! 😍 you guys crack us up. 🤣 love to have a drink (or two) with you both! Such a great video! Wouldn’t expect anything less. ❤ The passed more than Dunkirk comment creased us up!! 🤣🤣
Ah thanks guys and thanks for all the tips before we sailed! We felt prepared! Honestly we never know what's coming out of either of our mouths. (A lot has to be cut!!!) - yep we'd love to catch a drink or 7 with you two one day. Cheers 🍻
Great video. Fellow vlogger here. Nice to see your first trip on Iona. I went on her May 2023 to Norway and was definitely impressed. Definitely book stuff 2 weeks in advance. Luckily my wife was aware of this and we managed to book the Epicurean twice, Limelight Club and The 710 club on our trip 😅 Enjoy the rest of your trip
Thanks so much for watching. How on earth have we missed you Iona vlogs? I thought we'd seen every one before we went! We'll be checking those out very soon! She's a lovely ship isn't she. We're so glad we booked ahead of time as we missed out when we did Marella Explorer. Cheers 🍻
@@PostcardAndAPint I'm on a small time amateur vlogger so probably don't appear high on the algorithm. Yeah a magnificent vessel. We've since been on Aurora and will head out on Brittania this year. Still got 1 Iona video left to finish (long overdue but had other projects) a short highlights tour of the ship and my unfiltered opinions on what I find 😁
“I have more than passed Dunkirk” was my highlight!! Also I have left many things in hotel rooms but a whole wash bag is impressive 🤣 or as call it “bog bag” 🤣 As always very funny and informative, really looking forward to whole series.
We have to cut a lot of what comes out of our mouths sometimes! We're glad you like that chestnut or peanut?? 🤣. Cheers for watching. We loved Iona and we will certainly give P&O a go again. Cheers 🍻
Bremen and Bremerhaven are lovely cities, you know Beck's Beer is from Bremen, right, Wills? One of my cousins lives in Bremen and she gave me a great insiders tour when I went there!
Bremen was stunning and we were so glad of the itinerary change. Yep we learnt about becks and had a celebratory becks in a gorgeous restaurant in the Schnoor district. We loved Bremen, that main square was stunning. Cheers for watching 🍻

they only make a small amount of gin onboard, the rest is made in Devon, look at the mini suites on deck 8 we had one of those and it was a voyer heaven.
Cheers for that. We've done a distillery tour in wales and got told how flammable it is, so we did wonder!!! Sounds like you guys had a great view. Cheers 🍻
@@PostcardAndAPint yeah the cabin was great but it was on deck 8 by the promenade deck so people looked in if you do it again just warning you but it was a nice cabin with lounge.
Thank you. It was a beautiful ship. We were unsure if we'd like it as it's the biggest ship we've ever been on, but we loved it. Get yourself booked!!!! Cheers 🍻
Jeez that is a big ship. Humble brag here. When we went to Vietnam we did it all with just carry-on for the first time. We did pay for extra carry-on, but we did it. Can't believe we've never done it before. Apparently you can wear the same tee shirt and undies for 4 weeks. 😁 Wifi too expensive here. P&Os internet packages are between $20 and $30 per DAY. T&Cs says it has to be purchased for the duration of the cruise so you can't dip in and out for a day or so. It is flamin' outrageous. Oi, 5K subs!!! Absolutely brilliant! I am so thrilled for you!
Cheers Shane, looking forward to your Vietnam vids (although we will say - he was wearing that Tshirt yesterday!! 🤣). Yep we were wondering if P&O Australia were also budget? The internet was pricey, I think if we went again we'd get one package and just take it in turns to be online! Cheers for your best wishes and congrats - we're made up. 🍻
We returned on 10 February from a Canary island 14 day cruise on Iona We thought the ship was fantastic There was a very elderly demographic with virtually no children on board that mean the bars and restaurants from 7 30 onwards were quiet We would certainly book another one on Iona even though we thoroughly enjoyed our last cruise on Britannia
Ah we got on the day you got off! We loved the ship, but as it was the U.K. half term for the bulk of the country, there were a lot of kids and the ship did feel full. We loved it though and wanted to stay for the next cruise (canaries again!). This is the biggest ship we've ever been on and first time P&O. We will definitely be trying other P&O ships. Cheers 🍻
It just didn't work out for us. It was booked up when we wanted to go, and available when we didn't! Next time it's top of our list. Cheers for watching 🍻
Go on Wills with those folding skills! This ship is scarily huge! You will defo get some miles in exploring this bad boy (sorry Iona girl) Glad your suitcases made it and they hadn’t taken anything out to balance the weight (best be thankful for the under packers 😂) Wi-Fi looked easy to connect was the pre paid package worth it and was it decent Wi-Fi? The ship looks stunning inside and out with so much on offer but I’m afraid a cruise is still something neither of us fancy at a push if we had good sea legs and we were the only ones on it or it was full of cats instead of people we might consider it 🤣 Oh no you left Brut in South Hampton 😮 The food looks great. Entertainment wise Jill says she’d be watching Goonies on a loop 😂 oh gosh shame bout Hamburg but look forward to seeing the alternative! Booking system does sound complicated but guessing it’s necessary! love that we can come along with you guys though superb video as always 👍❤️ Look forward to the next one! X
Honestly guys we didn't feel it move at all, literally zero motion. Half the time we forgot we were on a ship. We saw some stunning places and loved our first cold weather cruise. Goonies is a great film but we didn't watch this cruise, there was too much to do! Cheers for watching and have a brilliant week. 🍻
Brilliant vid guys 👍wow the ship looks HUGE, would you be able to give a full price on your last vid, the£500 each ( think it was around that figure) sounds amazing value for the cruise but wondered what it came to with all the extras 🚢xx
Cheers for watching. Yes we've got that planned as a video at the end of the series. We've not totted it up exactly but even with the rough figure, it's still excellent value. Cheers for watching 🍻
Pee and what? Rach, that rock climbing wall in the kids area is more your speed. First beer looks like a good one. Don't disrespect the morning 💩. The ship looks incredible!
Cheers guys it's definitely 'oh' 🤣. Open that climb wall was still too advanced! I couldn't believe wills and his Dunkirk!!! Rood! Cheers for watching, we saw some lovely places and it was a great week. 🍻
Did it? To be honest, Hamburg was the one port we hadn't really gelled with and we were going to see Luneburg. We didn't mind the change and loved Bremen! Cheers for watching 🍻
I hope they aren't strict on that luggage allowance. We'll be on Iona after travelling from Australia and spending a month in England. We are going to need every ounce of the 30kg limit Emirates gave us.
To be honest you can take on as much as you want. They just don't want individual bags to be over 23kg for health and safety! As we travelled down by train the last thing we wanted was multiple bags, hence jamming it all in a case each!!! Have a brilliant cruise and month in England. 🍻
Thanks for watching. We did enjoy this one a lot. Yes, you pay a rock bottom price and from then on in it's trying to charge for everything, but it was a beautiful ship and maybe were easily pleased! Cheers for watching. 🍻
I think you can take as much on as you want, but for health and safety you're not supposed to have a bag more than 23kg - but as we went down via train we didn't want more than one case. 🍻
£5.60 for a beer! Thats more like $7 - and yes, never go to an ALW theatre in the uk - you have to sell a kidney for a drink so feel your pain on the game drinks. Cheers 🍻
I think I need a cruise now. The ship looked fun, all those restaurants! Amazing food.
You should! It was such lovely week and we saw some beautiful places (with not as good weather as you did!!). Cheers 🍻

Wifi too expensive here.
Interesting to hear how your overall experience compares to Marella although appreciate itinerary very different.
We definitely want to do a 'what we spent' and add it all up at the end. It was very different, but still a great experience. Cheers for watching 🍻
Cheers 🍻
You missed out on the 710 club, best venue on the ship

Yet other cruise lines went to Hamburg the day before and after we were due to go....
Did it? To be honest, Hamburg was the one port we hadn't really gelled with and we were going to see Luneburg. We didn't mind the change and loved Bremen! Cheers for watching 🍻
@@PostcardAndAPint we loved bremen so happy
Book everything you can.
Yep, that's great advice 🍻
This “fish & chips” thing is killing me! Why is that so popular? It must be the equivalent of America’s burger and fries.
It's a lot tastier than burger and chips! Yep, it's a British staple! Cheers 🍻
nice to see how things are going on your cruise
*👍like☑full view✅💯Au😎🦘*
Cheers for watching Billy 🍻
Only ever done one cruise with P&O, which we wasn`t impressed with. Looking forward to your views, maybe you`ll help change our minds. Enjoy!
Thanks for watching. We did enjoy this one a lot. Yes, you pay a rock bottom price and from then on in it's trying to charge for everything, but it was a beautiful ship and maybe were easily pleased! Cheers for watching. 🍻
I can understand the weight limit if you were flying, but huh???
I think you can take as much on as you want, but for health and safety you're not supposed to have a bag more than 23kg - but as we went down via train we didn't want more than one case. 🍻
$5.64 for a beer?! That’s pricey. But if you go to a Chicago Cubs game, it’s $9.00
£5.60 for a beer! Thats more like $7 - and yes, never go to an ALW theatre in the uk - you have to sell a kidney for a drink so feel your pain on the game drinks. Cheers 🍻
That ship looks very ordinary, almost like a glorified ferry. P&O really are 2nd rate
It was certainly very minimal and not grand, but it was spotlessly clean and our first go at P&O and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Cheers for watching 🍻
