I have the 2023 model. Intel i9, 32GB RAM with RTX 4080. I also added a second 2TB SSD. I love it. It has worked out well for me. I do 4K video editing with Adobe Creative Cloud apps. Mostly Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator and Photoshop mostly. Very happy with my purchase.
@VMXGroove wow thank you for your quick response..Definitely helped me in my decision. Also just one last question how long the battery lasts for you on average
I bought same but 4090 model of 7i. Love it. Does anyone have problem with colour calibration of screen? Does it look too warm in temp of the screen? Mine did so needed to adjust to make it little cool but the drivers are messing up sometimes when we do it. The screen is bit problematic. Second the sudden fan noise on ideal is also so much? Do you guys have any of these issues? Mine is 2023 7i model
Why do most channels just show the benchmarks but don't actually do the video editing to show the actually benchmarks in action instead of just giving the numbers
Yeah, I agree. Benchmarks are not the be-all and end-all. I prefer actual editing. MaxTech does this and uses the same video rendering project so we can see comparisons. I can confirm that benchmarks are way off when considering real life (app optimisation, OS optimisation and hardware/software integration).
Hi bro Lenovo Legion Slim 5 16APH8 (82Y9000QUS) $899 and Lenovo LOQ 15IRX9 (83DV00FXUS) $890 Which one is better to buy in 2024. Or is here any other Gameing laptops in this price point. Please reply. Thank you 😊

hi guys, I'm an architect student and I bought 2 days ago the Legion Pro 7i with 4080 for a price of 2600€ but today I saw there is Legion 7i with the same processor, ram and memory but with a 4070 at 2200€. Is it worth spending €350? or just returned and buy the normal 7i?
The last 2 configurations for the keyboard lighting is so you can customize them in Lenovo Spectrum. Actually you can change any of the 6 profiles to like 15 different patterns or any color.
I had issues installing the bios. Got BSOD. Found out that my ram sticks were the issue (still reusable in the end). Put the old ones in. Booted up and updated. Put new ram sticks back in and worked totally fine since.
Hey, this is a great review, but I think leaving AMD variant of the 7945HX out of this review compared to that processor was a mistake. The 7945HX without any sales can be found cheaper than the Intel variant, but in most cases out performs the Intel variant…
Yes, the vram and performance leap is more future proof. I had the 3070 legion way back. And while I loved it, the 8gb was serious hindrance for vram. 4070 also has this issue.
Thank you for going over the photoshop stuff, I’ve been looking at this laptop for a while now. Just for ps and light gaming 😊 but I might go with last years model though.
I have the pro 5i 2023 and I have the same screen with the 230 hz display. However, with the Rtx 4060 powering mine the additional refresh doesn’t really factor in.

Hey bro, can you do me a favor? Can you play tekken 8 on the samsung Galaxy book 4 ultra and compare it to a true gaming laptop with the same specs like a lenovo legion or Aser laptop etc.
For me, the best buy on this laptop is the gen13 CPU, with a 4080, 64Gb Ram, and a 4Tb HDD. Amazon was the only place I could find that config. Pulled the trigger on that yesterday :) edit: The Amazon order was a sham. Beware! I ultimately bought directly from Lenovo and it's specs are the 14th gen CPU, 32Gb Ram, 4090, and two 1tb drives.
@@SwillTheDrill You are correct - it turned out the Amazon seller was trying to pull a fast one and "selling" something that doesn't exist. Thankfully the order failed to go through. I went directly to the Lenovo site and did a proper spec and with the coupons and whatnot it was less money than other places. Having to upgrade the ram separately is annoying but not the end of the world.

The last two options for the RGB lighting are dynamic; they light up and dance in response to any audio being played on the device.

Man how do u know? The only difference is the spec and a thunderbolt port for the 7i

Because nobody wants to sit there watching a loud laptop blasting its fans while a bar fills up to 100%

4080 has 50% more memory than 4070. It's more futureproof and more powerful. If i had an option, i would stick with 4080.
