      Hi St8kout. Here are links to two appropriate cables:
      www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/EuroPC10-16--tiptop-audio-10-to-16-pin-eurorack-module-power-cable
      www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/4msMultPwr10P--4ms-multi-power-cable-10-pin
      As for "Can the Werkstatt be plugged into this?", if you mean "plugged into Eurorack power", then no. If you mean "plugging Werkstatt into Mavis via control voltages", then yes.

    Do you prefer the Nemesis/Ventris combo for effects and how would that compare to just getting the Collider?

    • @sweetwater
      @sweetwater  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi totorotj. If I'm going to be twisting Delay and Reverb parameters in real time, then I prefer the Nemesis and Ventris as separate pedals. (Or, just get really good at checking to see if the little chrome switch on the Collider is set to Delay or Reverb... before you turn any knobs.)
      But, aside from having to remember to check the Delay/Reverb switch, I've found that the Collider does pretty much everything I want from the Nemesis/Ventris pedals. -_Daniel_

      @@sweetwater I currently have a Collider and Nemesis on loan to try with my Moog Grandmother, DFAM, Mother32 and Subharmonicon setup(also trying a NU>X Duotime). I find I'm tweaking stuff all the time since I'm testing but in practice how much do you really mess with the knobs in real time? Also could some of that be mediated by using the 8 presets? Getting just the Collider would be cheaper for sure and it seems there are a lot of options I just wouldn't use with the Nemesis/Ventris setup. Thanks for the help with this, I love your videos and have learned a lot as this Moog stuff is a new area of learning for me.

      Hi Wren. That will absolutely give you duophony. The NiftyKEYZ provides four independent Control Voltages for Pitch (CV 1-4), and four independent Gate outputs (Gate 1-4), so you could have quadphony. -_Daniel_

      @Renne308 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I wouldn’t consider myself an expert, strictly speaking, but to my eyes the Mavis has one thing very going for it: interoperability. Full-blown CV patch points and not just the teeny pin sockets the Volca has? Now that’s a selling point.

    • @SR-ih1be
      @SR-ih1be 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Renne308 I stand corrected. I thought about it some more, and watched a few more demos that got me excited. The Moog tone is still by far the best. Since I already (also) have the Mother-32, DFAM and Subharmonicon as well as Matriarch, I decided to go for it. I now have a full-blown Moog semi-modular setup that should set me for life.

    • @sweetwater
      @sweetwater  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi thebugacademy. Nobody knows something until they learn it. The answers to both of your questions are related to the basic connectivity that's standard in Eurorack devices. Eurorack power is supplied to each and every rack-mounted module via a standard flat ribbon power cable (included with Mavis). External note and parameter control is provided by standard Eurorack cables (included with Mavis). Typically, any module that provides control voltages can be connected to any module's parameters that has voltage control inputs. For a video explanation, start here:
