Biosynthesis of Auxin

In this Video we have discussed the Biosynthesis of Auxin mediated via Tryptophan Dependent Pathway.
The Tryptophan in plants is produced through Shikimate Pathway and is used to synthesize folates and aromatic amino acids.
The Tryptophan Acts as a precursor molecule for Auxin Biosynthesis.

The IAA tends to accumulate on shaded side while as the side exposed to sunlight doesn't show increased concentration of Auxin , it is because of the PHOTOXIDATION of IAA .
