I got the 5 mana scepter, got deathstalker Rexxar, created massive beast for only 5 mana and won. The death knight is really good with the scepter because of beasts with low cost, ex. 5 mana 6/14 taunt
I had a pretty solid Beastrattle deck with double Deathrattles and +1/+1. I accidentally picked the Golden Kobold over some other treasure (don't remember which one). My final boss was Togwaggle, I played the Kobold, got Blingtron, which gave him Cursed Blade. Killed him on turn 6. That felt pretty amazing.
Please finish the dungeon run master guide series for the other classes as well. It might be pretty straight forward but this series is extremely entertaining
Plz don't stop this series its really fun and informative. Maybe you could just highlight some of the more fun and experimental stuff from the other classes. Personaly I had a lot of fun with double deathrattle+valanyr and you should try it Kripp :)
I got wax rager and two “minions have +1/+1” with a rexxar deathstalker cherry on top. Probably the most fun I’ve had with a dungeon run and was my first full clear 👌
I had the opportunity for that a little while ago but I didn't go for it because they would've prevented me from playing other minions. Figured I could have more fun with different minions
Hunter was the first class i tried. I picked up deathrattles trigger twice, a few really good beasts, and 4 Kathrena Winterwisp's. I dominated all the bosses super easy. I've only ever won a paladin game after that. My best run so far was my first run with hunter and I won easily.
I crushed with hunter and double battlecry and a big beast deck. I had two DK cards which gave a 4 damage AOE with 10 armor, and double adapt with the 3/2. Double pulls with Kathrena.
Big Beasts, Legendaries and Deathstalker Rexxar work well with Sceptre and Double Deathrattle. Summoner and Wee Beasts work well with Double Captured Flag Shots work well with Spell Damage +3 Secrets work well with Spell cost reduction. The rest is usually pretty bad. Sometimes Beast Training can be good if it has at least one Kill Command or if you’re going the Wee Beast route and don’t have Captured Flag. I won my Hunter Run with Big DK Hunter with Sceptre and Double Deathrattle. Big, 5-Cost Taunt and Deathrattle Zombeasts and Legendaries, put The Darkness into Fatigue and killed it.
i was lucky with hunter and got the spell power treasure (+3 spell power) and got the traps package a couple times (explosive trap 5 damage ftw) than i got the stealth for all minions and a bit of healing from the healing package that hunters can get than i encountered darkness... and as i played i realized that darkness has probably only minion targeted spells in its deck and won easily :D turns out that if you only play against a 5/5 each turn and have strong removal and some healing just in case is not such a problem
LOL TLDR:+13 att ,+4 def, windfury, can't be targeted by hero power/spells. That item is so OP on the last boss, but shouldn't it be 7? It says after each boss *defeated* and there is 8 bosses total. Also it would be like the seven major chakras which is the true primordial power!
Kripp please do the other classes. I know you said this might be the last one but it would still be nice to see your take on what strategies you can do for the other classes (besides druid because double bcry and jade and or cthun = win)
my problem with dungeon run is the final boss. ive made it to all the final bosses with all classes and do so almost every run. but i get shit rng at those bosses and just die over and over. beat ittwice so far in total. 7 more to go. thanks for the guide Kripp.

I think big Hunter with the big scepter is the best way to go, Big beasts and legendaries are the best buckets. The other buckets are secrets and wee beasts, and you can't win with tons of alley cats and explosive traps.
Why no double health after witch docta? Flag is good but even double Barnes summon would be more fun. So he does not pick best or fun, he picks I want challenge?
Once when i did a hunter run i got a spell cloak, cause i wanted to shake things up, then the game decided to give me a shit ton of AoE spells, and secrets, AND ANOTHER SPELL CLOAK. My freaking explosive trap secret did 8 damage, and i got the candle, i ended up fighting azari and for my first hand it gave me 2 explosive traps and the candle.
Won my first dungeon run with Hunter. Won, because I got that dragon boss that has Hero power ".. deal damage to all minions that much, that u destroyed chests. Got crown from chest (summon two copies of legendary minion and get one chest destroyed. From crown i got Gahzrilla and that was GG.
If hunter is hard I must have gotten lucky because I one shot it with secrets for most of my packages. I had around 8-10 secrets with 2 putricide and cloacked huntres and deathstalker although he was mostly used only for the armor gain and 2 damage to all minions, the hero power never played a factor. My last boss was Xol and I consider him the easiest boss of all the final bosses. But yea, the secret hunter was very strong for dungeon run, was also pretty fun just getting out 5 secrets at the same time every turn.
I've gone 7/8 more times than id like to admit with my hunter. Absolutely faceroll the entire dungeon, sometimes not even taking damage for a few bosses, then i get to the last boss and get completely destroyed. Thus, i am here. lol
i found 1 extra mana crystal + anything over 5 costs five, plus 4 rexxars = lul. throw out whatever till turn 6 drop rexxar every game, then keep making crazy beasts always picking the biggest possible since they'll cost 5 anyway.

Dungeon run is very good. Hope they continue add more boss into the dungeon. Only thing I hate is final boss. Feel like too much rng. Toggwoggle and Xul are 2 boss that I hate most. Way way too much RNG , literally have no weakness (King Tog has weak minion but he can randomly pull out miracle from his ass , And Xul has very strong minion that usually have big downside, But her power already counter that + she play quest warlock and still had 2 mana left for other card which itself counter main weakness of the quest(sacrifice turn 1). So what you fight is one who has nearly unlimited resource to fill quest, Very strong minion with nearly no downside , Unlimited value once she finish her quest . Yeah yeah you can say that you can force her to discard Nether portal but that chance doesn't came every time . One time I play against her , she finish the quest turn 2 , how You might ask? Cataclysm. Blow up the board , refill her hand(cuz she has imp).Also 4 of her beam are removal and 2 of them are AoE. The Darkness simply annoying as hell if you can't swarm the board. Dragon is the only one that I feel kinda challenge in the good way. You make wrong move? you lose . It's not heavy RNG like other boss or simply unfair annoyance like Darkness.
What is this guide? The first 4 runs with hunter I went 8 on every run. You didn't even COVER the +3 spelldamage + Shots package... Everything deals 5 or more damage, including your explosive trap; which as we all know, the AI likes to play into... a lot. The only weakness to that deck is ofcourse one of the troggs that block your magic. But guess what ? Board clears tend to do well against giant boards And yes; the 5 or more costs (5) passive is good in big hunter; but you know where it really shines ? With DeathStalker Rexxar... And he's in at least 3 packages. You can make a zombeast that should cost 10; and still play it on the turn you made it. Literally every turn. The only weakness to that deck is Waxmancer, who copies your minions. I've been playing hunter for over 20 runs now; and this bothered me so much I had to write it down. Cheers
Valid point. I just feel like the advice he's giving isn't solid. In my experience: 1. (5) cost minions (With Deathstalker, or swamp king dread and kel'thuzads) 2. spell damage (With shots or secrets) 3. all the others
By the way, the tier 2 trogg draws a spell and changes its cost to 0 rather than summoning a trogg. Board clears don't work all that well against that.
Actually I just drafted Wax Rager in my death rattle warlock deck with double deathrattle treasure. When I played it I realised how stupid the synergy is.
I'll say this here as there's no where else. This is the difficulty of the dungeon run bosses from easiest to hardest: 1. Druid 2. Hunter 3. Warrior 4. Paladin 5. Warlock 6. Priest 7. Mage 8. Shaman 9. Rogue Shaman and Rogue took me a frustrating amount of times to win, rogue feeling much more tedious. Mage was bad but I felt like I had bad luck at first. The middle few could swap places as I can't remember them exactly or I got really lucky/unlucky and won/lost when I shouldn't have. I did Druid and Hunter first (A-Z) so perhaps they only felt easy as it wasn't as repetitive. Finally, incase you didn't know, I've got the cardback for it and will still be playing to find new bosses and to try to beat some OP bosses (never beat darkness or chronomancer inara). Also I've lost to giant rat once due to finding the boss too easy to play seriously against.
Rogue took me the longest: "Finally beat Dungeon Run as Rogue! The lucky run involved double deathrattle, wax rager, Marin the Fox, carnivorous cubes, Jades, taunt deathrattles and the so many wonderful toxins. Every card played a huge part in the win but the biggest factors was Wax Rager with Deathrattle x2 and lot's of luck! I had vitality potion too and I think it saved the run for me at least once." - Me 2 weeks ago
Super_ rogue was one of my quickest and I beat it multiple times. My favourite way is going battlecries trigger twice and having a battlecry deck. It's fun. However shaman and mage I just couldn't do for ages
Rogue just didn't have any cards that stood out and made it great like a frozen throne hero or card generating legendary. Shaman was the same. Jades are good but you can't win with them alone. You'll need some board clears and amazing legendaries too.
Hunter took me 135 bosses to finish it and I won with 200 hp and a very shitty beast deck, I got great curve most games and I was able to come back with the hp. Hunter gets the shittiest deck choices, you have no def, no board clears and barely any late game choices. The best thing I thought was 5 or more cost 5 with death knight Rexxar with boosts of haste, but I couldn’t ever get sustain or last that long with hero power being random. Also invisibility was pretty good but you need tundra rhino and some more value. The problem with dungeon runs become very apparent with hunter, picking your treasure first is very bad design, it would be way better if you could pick loot first. Because you can easily build around first loot pick but not treasure pick. At around 60+ bosses I was quitting out when I got bad first treasures.
Hunter is the easiest class isn't it? (Well joint wiith the jades) You get conisistant amazing late game and can pick off early games with the hero power or the early game. I've done 8 runs with Hunter (I'm really bored don't judge) and haven't lost one yet...
It was my first clear I think, only took two tries and the first one mostly just failed due to seeing Xul for the first time and not knowing what the different beams were and how to play around them. Definitely seems like one of the easier classes.
idk, my first run on dungeon run in general was with warlock, i got the 5 cost minion passive and a bunch of big demons such as void lords, malganis and abyssal enforcers and like 3 gul dans, just beat every boss's face in till the end, rly set me off in the wrong track cuz i thought dungeon run was rly easy xd
Yeah, fun mode, but i ain't gonna play 'Dunrun' as a FTPer because why am i gonna waste my 45 minutes of daily Hearthstone on a mode which gets me zero gold? It is what it is, but would it kill them to give 10 (or even, gasp! 20) gold for a successful run? (Subject to the normal daily maximums)
that fcking scroll... my ass is it random. Got rekt two times, the second time he (final boss) was down to 8 health. I had 4 Jades with 10 attack each and one darkness (wich could never activate cause no candles....). He played the scroll and guess what? HE GOT ALL FOUR JADES. srsly what the actual f.... =(
It would be fun if blizz added feature to continue your dungeon run as pvp. with all the op treasure cards people gathered... We will be able to see some weird shit interactions!

I got perma stealth, all minions +1/+1, deathstalker Rexxar and a lot of beast synergy. Stomped all bosses and managed to win! :)

Why didn't they change the text on Y'Shaarj? He does recruit a minion, but it says he puts a minion from your deck into the battlefield.

With hunter I've never lost when I got the +1/+1 passive. I just pick the deathrattle minions that make more minions and win.
I'm okay with cutting out the first couple of bosses. Unless kripp loses to one. Then I want it on a 10 hour loop and set to music.

Permanent stealth + Rexxar RUINED Togwaggle. Maybe it was the 12/12 Lifesteal? XD

9. Rogue
Shaman and Rogue took me a frustrating amount of times to win, rogue feeling much more tedious. Mage was bad but I felt like I had bad luck at first. The middle few could swap places as I can't remember them exactly or I got really lucky/unlucky and won/lost when I shouldn't have. I did Druid and Hunter first (A-Z) so perhaps they only felt easy as it wasn't as repetitive.
Finally, incase you didn't know, I've got the cardback for it and will still be playing to find new bosses and to try to beat some OP bosses (never beat darkness or chronomancer inara). Also I've lost to giant rat once due to finding the boss too easy to play seriously against.

My opinion anyway
Rogue took me the longest: "Finally beat Dungeon Run as Rogue! The lucky run involved double deathrattle, wax rager, Marin the Fox, carnivorous cubes, Jades, taunt deathrattles and the so many wonderful toxins. Every card played a huge part in the win but the biggest factors was Wax Rager with Deathrattle x2 and lot's of luck! I had vitality potion too and I think it saved the run for me at least once." - Me 2 weeks ago
Super_ rogue was one of my quickest and I beat it multiple times. My favourite way is going battlecries trigger twice and having a battlecry deck. It's fun. However shaman and mage I just couldn't do for ages
Jordan Scott Shaman was super easy, all the jade classes were super easy in fact.
Rogue just didn't have any cards that stood out and made it great like a frozen throne hero or card generating legendary. Shaman was the same. Jades are good but you can't win with them alone. You'll need some board clears and amazing legendaries too.
Only one flumox. Always lucky.
Hunter took me 135 bosses to finish it and I won with 200 hp and a very shitty beast deck, I got great curve most games and I was able to come back with the hp. Hunter gets the shittiest deck choices, you have no def, no board clears and barely any late game choices. The best thing I thought was 5 or more cost 5 with death knight Rexxar with boosts of haste, but I couldn’t ever get sustain or last that long with hero power being random. Also invisibility was pretty good but you need tundra rhino and some more value.
The problem with dungeon runs become very apparent with hunter, picking your treasure first is very bad design, it would be way better if you could pick loot first. Because you can easily build around first loot pick but not treasure pick. At around 60+ bosses I was quitting out when I got bad first treasures.
Hunter is the easiest class isn't it? (Well joint wiith the jades) You get conisistant amazing late game and can pick off early games with the hero power or the early game. I've done 8 runs with Hunter (I'm really bored don't judge) and haven't lost one yet...
It was my first clear I think, only took two tries and the first one mostly just failed due to seeing Xul for the first time and not knowing what the different beams were and how to play around them. Definitely seems like one of the easier classes.
idk, my first run on dungeon run in general was with warlock, i got the 5 cost minion passive and a bunch of big demons such as void lords, malganis and abyssal enforcers and like 3 gul dans, just beat every boss's face in till the end, rly set me off in the wrong track cuz i thought dungeon run was rly easy xd
You're either lying or unbelievable lucky. The way RNG works that's just incredibly unlikely. I will go with the former.

Yeah, fun mode, but i ain't gonna play 'Dunrun' as a FTPer because why am i gonna waste my 45 minutes of daily Hearthstone on a mode which gets me zero gold? It is what it is, but would it kill them to give 10 (or even, gasp! 20) gold for a successful run? (Subject to the normal daily maximums)
Hunter is only second in difficulty to warrior, warrior gives you so much trash.
Hatts Harbringer 80 bosses beat with Warrior and wins yet.. It's pretty bad.

that fcking scroll... my ass is it random. Got rekt two times, the second time he (final boss) was down to 8 health. I had 4 Jades with 10 attack each and one darkness (wich could never activate cause no candles....). He played the scroll and guess what?
HE GOT ALL FOUR JADES. srsly what the actual f.... =(

I had to recruit y'shaarj on turn 1 with the warrior legendary weapon to beat the final boss. Hunter sucks.
hunter is the easiest, get stealth and scavenging hyenas, profit
