Was in the Bahamas with a girlfriend. A native wanted to take us out in his boat. No, a bad idea. Or we would have been one of Bryan's cases. Another native man kept following me around, trying to be my vacation boyfriend. Some women are there for that. She was pretty, and alone, so a target.

I picked up a student one day, while driving home from work one day (that I knew; a beautiful, petite, young woman with a big blonde ponytail) jogging through the worst part of town, in short-shorts and an athletic bra top. One of our students had been kidnapped and rapd in that area, just a week prior, and despite the messaging to our student body about safety, she decided to jog in that direction. It's such a mystery, how so many people can just vanish, from such small islands. Natalie Holloway vanished, too, never to be seen again. I suspect foul play in this case, too... Your bucket list sounds really cool. Especially the place in Finland, to see the northern lights. I've seen pictures of that place, and it looks so magical. I've seen the northern lights once, where I live. I saw where they were supposed to be visible again, maybe a week ago? But, I forgot to go look, even though I had remembered 30 minutes earlier! 🙃 Anyway, I hope you can go to all the destinations on your list.
Hi Bryan I agree with you on this one. There have been several reasonably recent, very ugly incidents on islands that have involved visitors being attacked, murdered or disappearing. I think that the fact the SRA found her rucksack is a good indicator of foul play; especially if it appeared to be intact. You didn't say if it was hidden or not so I am taking a guess that it was in plain sight. I suppose she could have fallen from a cliff or taken her own life However, you usually mention if a missing person has been having mental health issues prior to disappearing. I am inferring that she was in a good emotional space prior to travelling to the island. I hope that Lucy is found soon and returned to her family. Lucy and her family and friends are in my prayers.
All those places you shown are breathtaking... especially the Northern lights..I've never seen either.but that's where I want to go before I leave this world...as far as other places I'll be leaving in December to hit the road in my van and hopefully see all the forest and waterfalls I can .Thanks for sharing and have a good week .thanks for all your work..much appreciated and I know the families appreciate as well....take care...
Be safe. If you’ve not do so please read precautionary tips on rv solo female travel. Yes, Northern lights are unforgettable & you deserve that experience!
Bryon Ive got that feeling that Lucy my have been a victim of foul play. A lot of local people, I assume would not be rich . A lone female would be easy pickings. Take that tragic incident a couple of years ago ,a young couple from Northern Ireland went on honeymoon to one of these places . The girl returned to her chalet to get something, and there she was murdered. Some local men were arrested but later let of. No one got caught. That was a travesty of justice. Any how to get back to Lucy, there must be a list of local criminals in the area, and questions should have been asked. But I take it people would be very clannish and most of the time related;even to officials. But all this is theory. We’re ever you are Lucy God will be with you. ❤️🙏 Thanks Bryan

Karen Olsen. White ppl. are not wanted there, they are hated in these Islands, not only there. So especially white women going there alone or even if they are 2 persons taking willingly a very high risk. The "beack boys" are waiting and preying day and night.... Get real ppl.,, check the facts.
I've been to more than half of the entire Caribbean chain of islands, including the Netherlands Antilles; Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao, plus the Bahamas and both the U.S. and British Virgin Islands. The only place we felt unsafe was actually in two unrelated places: Roatan in Honduras and some parts of Costa Rica. Grand Cayman is very safe, but prohibitively expensive and Saint Lucia is our favorite. We've been to Saint Lucia well over a dozen times between 1968 and 2012. Barbados is great, but there is a lot of petty crime. Antigua is also a beautiful island. Bermuda is very civilized, but the weather is not the best many times. Jamaica is rather dangerous. My brother-in-law got mugged there the first night.
you are so right. I've been to Bahamas, Cayman, Jamaica, Cuba. Jamaica - very dangerous in places. Our resort won an award by Prince Charles for being more environmentally run and there was an armed guard hidden in the bushes by the 12 foot chain link fence which you could not see from the road but we could see from the room. - we had a driver who took us into the mountains near Nigril and we got to hang out with the Rastas, swim in beautiful streams and walk the area (with the Rasta's) which was not dangerous though. I was in Cayman in the mid 80's (it was more natural before all the hotels invaded) and was walking by myself, a van full of looked like migrants pulled up and asked me if I needed a ride lol. Needless to say I declined. In Cuba we stayed at an old Russian army barracks that had been converted into a resort. At night we had an armed guard right at our door all night.
I take no pleasure in saying this, I've said it before and I will continue to say it. Stop going out to remote locations alone. I'm a certified diver, and the rule is you don't dive alone, for obvious reasons. I submit these reasons apply to remote locations as well. We are free to make choices, start making better choices. Search and rescue is not only expensive, it's dangerous. Every time someone makes the foolish decision to go out trekking, climbing, diving, etc. alone, they increase their chances of experiencing a circumstance that could be survived if a companion had been present, but becomes fatal when you're alone. If this angers you, so what?
Kevin M. - I totally agree. Young women can be SO naive, and stupid. (especially, young, college students, on their own for the first time - completely oblivious to the ways of the world and all the evil waiting to prey on them) There's safety in numbers.
@@mainemermaid6596 Lucy was not a “naive young college student”. She was a former commercial airline pilot and had just graduated from medical school as a second career in her 40’s. She had been to St. John several times before and was an experienced world traveler.

It's totally cool it's usually built just for the New Year! Love the Calistoga Wagons too, you forget how the stars really look!
I've traveled by myself to various islands in the Caribbean and Virgin islands. Whenever I signed up for tours through the resorts, I almost always have a worker coming up to me offering private tours, saying to me they can show me better places than the resort takes people to. Oh they would sound very nice and genuine but I've always said no! The resort employee(s) would call my hotel room or continued to come up to me at the resort asking me again to take me on private tours. Only when I went to management and complained did it stop.

Great video….how do you spell the place you mentioned in the Ukraine that you want to go to someday? It was really pretty. Thanks for sharing your bucket list of places to go. I have a list too!
All of the spots on the list of places to go seem really cool. Not sure if you've come across it, but someone on TH-cam has a livestream showing the Aurora Borealis. Of course it wouldn't beat seeing it in person though.
I love St John, its a beautiful island and way chill if you camp in the park. The natl park campground is great, its right next to the gorgeous cinnamon bay beach. Its hard to imagine someone going missing, there's no really remote areas, you can hike across the island in less than two hrs. I hiked all the trails while I was there. St John is way safer than St. Thomas or St Croix. I hate to think its foul play, but its hard to imagine something else. There are no predators on land. Its not known for shark attacks. The water is relatively shallow near shore. If she fell in the water she would have been found by someone in a boat. So sorry for her family and friends.
Beautiful, but dangerous. Years ago (in the 90s) 2 friends of ours went there to live and open a small business. They were gng rpd and beaten badly by locals. People go to resorts in the islands, and naively think it's reality. The truth is, they want our money, but otherwise resent and hate us. We will NEVER go there again. PS: Right now, over 200k people from Ha iti are on the way to the US from Mexico. THINK what is to befall the American people. Stupid "do-gooder" Levdists, are undermining, invadng, dividing, and destroying our country. The vast majority are grown men, and these ppl (almost 2 Million now) are being flown in the dead of night, all over our country, and given free everything, on our backs. (while our own citizens; children, families, the elderly, and our vets, go hungry and homeless)
Probably best way to solve is to offer a big reward for clues that pan out. That's a poor island, someone is going to get drunk and confess to a friend, etc.
How can the US Government buy land from the Danish Government. And that land does not belong to America or the Danish people.? It belongs to the people that originally inhabited the land.
Show up with an army and declare the land yours. If theres already an army there then shoot them until they leave and declare the land yours. That's how it works

Ramshead has a point toward the end where you can lean into the wind. It's on the left right at the end. The wind is funneled to a point. When it hits you and you look down there is driftwood and a rocky beach full of stuff that washes up. Net buoys... some glass.... and boat stuff. I wanted to lean into that wind and I wanted to try to climb down. After close inspection I decided that I wouldn't without ropes... and I never went back. Maybe she decided she didn't need ropes? I think you pretty much have to park at salt pond to get to Ramshead. I haven't been there since 2001.
If you go, listen to the advice of the locals and stay on the resort, in areas where people gather. Don't venture off alone. Be very aware of your surroundings, and don't interpreted a friendly smile as safety...

I've seen the northern lights once, where I live. I saw where they were supposed to be visible again, maybe a week ago? But, I forgot to go look, even though I had remembered 30 minutes earlier! 🙃 Anyway, I hope you can go to all the destinations on your list.
Love your work!
I suppose she could have fallen from a cliff or taken her own life
However, you usually mention if a missing person has been having mental health issues prior to disappearing. I am inferring that she was in a good emotional space prior to travelling to the island. I hope that Lucy is found soon and returned to her family. Lucy and her family and friends are in my prayers.
St. John is a beautiful island. Thanks for the historic info.
Most of those scenes were not of St John .
I've been there.
Foul play is my first instinct also.

Great info great video. Love this format. Thanks
hi !! Got your calendar in great condition! Thank you, it's beautiful!
I certainly hope there is an answer to this tragedy.
I knew her briefly in the 1990's. She was into rock climbing, she may have tried an impromptu climb of sorts and fell.
I wonder if having blond hair and blue eyes made Lucy more noticeable to predators?
Most likely
Human trafficking was my second thought.
OJ. around ?
Karen Olsen. White ppl. are not wanted there, they are hated in these Islands, not only there. So especially white women going there alone or even if they are 2 persons taking willingly a very high risk. The "beack boys" are waiting and preying day and night.... Get real ppl.,, check the facts.
@@standback5806 she was way too old for human trafficking
Thank you for uploading another video. I like your channel very much.
Came across you maybe a week or 2 ago.. stuff is getting better and better.
I really like your channel, sometimes when I’m just trying to relax you talk through some of the details so quickly. Otherwise awesome thank you
I take no pleasure in saying this, I've said it before and I will continue to say it.
You don’t know the whole story, you’re assuming a lot.
@@elmhorse Authorities aren't looking for two or three people that went missing, and there is nothing in the story that indicates she went out with friends. I stand by my assertion.
@@flyoverkid55 I’m a friend of Lucy’s and I know more details about the case than was given to the public, not sharing here out of respect for her family. We know she went out alone, that was never in question.
Great work as always, Bryan! I listened to several episodes while traveling from Missouri back to Kentucky from my father’s funeral. You kept me entertained, alert and in a good head space while driving home, thank you!
I can’t find your email, but I do have a case I would ask you to consider. It’s the disappearance of Justin Hooiman. I am friends with his Mom and sister and can get you in touch with them. His case was covered on The Vanished and the Crackhouse Chronicles, but sadly that’s about it. How can I send you some info?
that's interesting. why don't you start your own channel?
@@AngryNegativeHistoryProject I would love to, I just don’t really feel like I would get enough subs to make it worth it. There are already so many really great true crime pods and channels out there covering these cases.
@@Kimvisible if I was in your state I would help you make the videos.
@@AngryNegativeHistoryProject Wow, you are so kind! I am not good at the technical end of building vids, so that alone is one reason I have not tried putting anything together. 😎
It's sad but true that we live in a world where we must be vigilant and suspicious...poor lady.
Hey Bryan, I am with you with the foul play! Her bag like that makes it look like she was grabbed 😢
The bag sitting there at the top of Ram's Head trail could be a "plant" to throw everyone off.
@@papagigo1 so true too✌️
Wow I love all the places you mentioned.
Hey there's a thing they do in Greenland(arctic circle) they call it the Ice Hotel. Everything is made of Ice, the Bar, the suites, the buildings! It's totally cool it's usually built just for the New Year!
Love the Calistoga Wagons too, you forget how the stars really look!
Never go alone and always be prepared for emergency 🆘
I've traveled by myself to various islands in the Caribbean and Virgin islands. Whenever I signed up for tours through the resorts, I almost always have a worker coming up to me offering private tours, saying to me they can show me better places than the resort takes people to. Oh they would sound very nice and genuine but I've always said no! The resort employee(s) would call my hotel room or continued to come up to me at the resort asking me again to take me on private tours. Only when I went to management and complained did it stop.
St John has no hotels . Lucy was in a rental home .
Thanks for keeping these people from being forgotton! I pray more information is found soon so her family & friends can have some type of 🙏closure.
Some bucket list items for me have to be Europe, Specifically staying at a Castle. Many castles are now converted into small hotels or B & B's. Scotland, England & Ireland are the top three! And Greyfriars Kirkyard in Edinburgh. 😱👻
I think definitely foul play is at work here! Makes you not want to travel to these beautiful isolated places!
I'm thinking even if it was foul play, they likely got rid of her body in the ocean. I've also seen the Northern Lights in Yellowknife and it's amazing.
The Northern lights is number one on my bucket list!!! 😍
Such a shame.Beautiful lady
I just came back from Aruba solo. I felt safe! I research all places before I go solo. Places that have high crime against tourists I stay in a all inclusive. Crime happens everywhere. I won't let this stop me from traveling alone. God bless her and I'm praying for her and her family
I've seen the northern lights in Russia Artic circle - it is really a sight to see .....
So sad.....she just wanted a nice vacation in a beautiful location....
Nice history! Foul play is a possibility but I would first go with drowning or accident of some sort.
Love St John, so beautiful there!
My top bucket list destination are the Lofoten in Norway. Absolutely stunning…like surreal!
It looks beautiful there😍
another beautiful woman missing....i think foul play also could have happened....pray they find her...
Probably best way to solve is to offer a big reward for clues that pan out. That's a poor island, someone is going to get drunk and confess to a friend, etc.
This is one of the more financially stable islands, million dollar homes all around. I lived nearby for a decade, so your just guessing.
Love all your videos! I'd also like to be entered in your Halloween contest. Thanks for all you do!
Ok,. Another good video. PLEASE with luck come home!.
these places look so beautiful and tranquil. unfortuately its full of bad people preying on tourists and hikers. Robbing and killing them.
The Maldives is on top of my bucket list.
👍👍Thank you!!
You already responded.... You already said thank you..... Just saying....
@@twistoffate4791 My first comment I made at the beginning of the video. After I watched the video I felt the need to comment again
How can the US Government buy land from the Danish Government. And that land does not belong to America or the Danish people.? It belongs to the people that originally inhabited the land.
Show up with an army and declare the land yours. If theres already an army there then shoot them until they leave and declare the land yours. That's how it works
@@briangriffith4574
Is that what you would do.?
@@suntemple3121 It doesn't matter what HE would do, it's what WE in the U.S. already did to the Native Americans to gain control of all that is now known as the United States. These are just the facts - the way it was.
@@twistoffate4791 oh cry more. Plus it was the British who first came here. America wasnt a nation yet
@@nickyblue4866 Actually the Vikings were here long before the Indians...
Seems like foul play. People suck.
Agreed. Both counts.
I agree I think it was most likely foul play
If there is more than one incident, then there are two or more incidentS, not “incidences.” Two incidents, or 100. Please
I just got back from St. John. Beautiful island.
If you go, listen to the advice of the locals and stay on the resort, in areas where people gather. Don't venture off alone. Be very aware of your surroundings, and don't interpreted a friendly smile as safety...
Rockefeller donated land it makes you wonder how much these guys own.
Just think, if the Titanic hadn't sunk. We would have another huge bunch of rich names that made America. Such as, JP Morgan, Rockefeller Henry Ford. I can't think of some others right now but history channel has done some specials on them and the industries that made us huge.
Many more huge names were on the ship👈 do who knows how different the US would be.
I know right the list of the people on the titanic is mind boggling. Supernatural did an episode on that where an angel altered history because he hated that Celine Dion song. So many futures changed.
@@Jay-n262 lol, yup I see it. Watched them all in fact. But yeah the super rich in board that's for sure, just imagine.
St John is an easy place to just disappear, look at this missing person, also St John,, Sarm Heslop .
Did anyone else notice the person floating in the waves of the surf on the left of the picture right after the picture of the hurricane of the Waves coming in...?
She maybe even met someone and ended up getting into an accident of some kind having to do with either getting too far out at tide or ended up on the wrong side of the cliff maybe even got caught up in the storm too. The ocean is nothing to mess with if you aren't prepared!
She met with foul play, sadly.
Very sad !!!!!
She probably fell why would her bag be left alone like that bodies have been found feet away from areas combed over rip
Oh to see the Aurora Borealis!!! There is a live stream from Lapland that is a great channel to check out as geomagnetic storms hit and fire up the skies.
lake tarli karng is the next big one I’ve been planning, with river crossings can safely be done in summer, so need a summer without bush fire!
think bush fires are the least of your problems.
I don't really have a bucket list I love all nature and stars and yeah so mine would be more like a lake list😁. But, I really like your bucket list. That's totally me too👍🤗.

If you ask God to show you what happened before you go to sleep answers might be given. I'm going to do this tonight. Maybe an answer will come.
Sounds like maybe someone who had a grunge against her, may have followed her down there and got her. Buried her on the island somewhere. Went home and got away with it.
The big ocean that surrounds that island you Can hide a body in it and it's harder to find
whats sad is the culprit has probably commented and seen this video.
It's possible she is in the water
I would love to go to Switzerland and stay in one of those Chalets and watch the stars at night .
@Linda Williams - Ditto that!
I'm still trying to figure out the distance. It may not be her, but private planes are a possibility . I hope I see more . God bless
Nicely done👈
The islands were beautiful in 1982
