Note: I've swapped out a couple of songs due to copyright issues (the intro one and the one where you're talking to the merchant) - เกม
This is a new game from Joe Richardson, creator of Four Last Things. Its artwork is created from real Renaissance era paintings (there's even a gallery you go in later on in the video where you can see the originals). It's also very funny and hilariously gross at times (there's a moment involving a "milkshake" that will be especially hard to forget!)
This game is a work of art!
I knew I recognised hia!
Also he made "The Procession to Calvary".
The musicians being part of every scene making the music is particularly *chef's kiss*
Yes, having live classical & acoustic music everywhere you go is very cool & very soothing.
If the people who made low-budget Adult Swim shows from the mid-2000s made a game it would be this.
Absolutely lol
Or Monty Python.
@@ChildrenoftheMeat Oh I can definitely see some influence in their.
@@sukamadik5983in their what
That and they had Yorgos Lanthimos leading the project.
No more than five seconds in we got the first best line so far.
"Morning Nerds!" That's when you know the writing is gonna be good.
Whoever thought designing an entire game based on this style............ give them a GOTY Award immediately.
He did 2 other games like this... He is not the hero we wanted, nor we deserved, but the one God sends upon our brutish earth
Terry Gilliam would be proud
"He did a poop..." I get Monty Python vibes.
You get MP vibes from the artwork, not the comedy
@@Dizzula Perhaps, but that doesn't make it less amusing. :D
@@ShadowRun221 Also, cool username. I've been GMing Shadowrun for about 20 years lol
@@Dizzula It's funny, I had the ShadowRun username in various places before the game was released in 1993.
@@ShadowRun221 Well, it was released in 1989, but I see where you're coming from!
Why is Jesu-
* flashback * THE LORD WILL GUIDE YOU!
Ah, I see.
Is this from the same devs as "Procession to Calvary"? I see the same vibes and goofy humor. I love it already
Yeah, it's the same dev! I love his humor! :)
@@AlphaBetaGamerhis humour is pretty damn good.
@@AlphaBetaGamer maybe even Gathernomoss
18:50 the chocolate milkshake has driven all the boys from the yard
I absolutely love the absurdity of this game. Pulls no punches at all.
1:57 Lenny is hoping to get promoted as the new CEO (chief executioner of offenders)
9:33 remember boys. Everything is possible if you threaten hard enough
“Morning, nerds.” 5 seconds in and it’s already on my wishlist 😂
This isn't just a game. This is art
13:29 ...I'm concerned about how well I understand that metaphor.
That metaphor is too real.
@@ThatGuyInTheBack007 dude, fr
Loved the use of classical paints and the Monty Python-style humour. 10/10
I've never been so confused by a thumbnail on this channel before. Once I saw the video I understood why the thumbnail is so confusing. Great upload 😂👍
Gadzooks! This brings back memories of those weird puzzle websites that I was never clever enough to figure out past the first few steps. Really great idea and excellent look! Thanks for the preview!
This gives me Rock of Ages cutscene vibes.
If a Monty Python movie was a game
And now something completely different.
12:25 pretty sure he had to grow as a man at least in some part to spawn all those kids...
15:34 new Mortal Kombat looks dope
More like Old Mortal Kombat am I right
my cheeks hurt from smiling the entire video this game is fucking hilarious!
17:50 Santa ran out of coal for bad children
Procession to Calvary was amazing. Waiting this game
She turned me into a NEWT.
Love this creators art style the use of classic paintings is hilarious
The amount of possibilities and dialogues this would probably have.
The dice-guessing sequence was brutal
I love it
found a typo "Abandoned out families" in the rock throwers' dialogue
I can't express how much I absolutely adore this.
It tickles my humor, my inner historian and my love for the Monty Python era animations.
i can still hear the feed me!
Loving the Monty Python feel to it!
"Let's dance"
"Nah, I'm a skidaddle"
*Crashes through a brick wall*
Random guy: *Screams*
Me: Lol!😂
This game looks great! the Monkey island 2 vibes this gives me are way high!
On top, i never seen a game using renaissance art style... and paintings lol
Joe's games improved dramatically and I'm all here for it.
Purest form of art we will ever see
This is actually freakng genius! Love it!
Ok, at "Bucket of Chocolate milkshake" any logic literally came out of window.
Alpha Beta Gamer’s choice of games are so based.
Didn't see that coming... so soon.
Have been waiting for it
I love this, this game seriously reminds me of Rock of Ages with it's humor and art
That was different! I liked it, but I had to turn the volume off in the room with the kids. 😂
If Terry Gilliam was a video game designer, this is what it would look like. :)
This game makes me miss Rock of Ages. Also pretty great so far, hope it gets finished.
The music is fantastic!
A work of art 😁👍
This game reminds me cutscenes from Rock Of Ages
5:47 well, they do smell like fish, so...
But on the other hand it's cunnyballism.
Immortal John who committed the 7 sins in Four Last Things asked his son to commit 7 good deeds in Death of the Reprobate
Bro, this is amazing
Reminds me a lot of Monty Python in terms of humor. Very silly but also very fun.
Feed Me!
Damn I'm early
Visual style immediately reminds of rock of ages
19:50 thats enough internet for today
I unironically love this
I swear, this game has the most hilarious dialogues ive ever seen
Immortal Johnny is the main guy in Four Last Things!!!
Oh my god, I love it!

This..... This is..... GREAT!!! .... Uncommon satirical and gorgeous looking pretty INTERESTING point and click adventure game. I am pretty curious on full game. Because lie I said this looks absolutely stunning!
He "poop" in the streets? I wonder if that's a reference to some cities in California.
I love Monty Python. And I'm not British. 👍🏼😀
Seriously, this is fantastic!
Very reminiscent of Terry Gilliam's animations for Monty Python. XD
This visuals remind me of those old games, can't recall the names of them but ik onw of them was like about rolling boulders with yet another Renaissance painting visuals in cutscenes
Rock of Ages?
@@DRum886 yeah, thx for the reminder
Reminds me of Rock of Ages. Good times
Sheep botherer
My rate for you is 27/10 I know that's dissapointing but I rated you like that because they're a people from real life but I'm not insulting that's still very nice!
Best graphics ever!
wtf lol. great stuff!
i love it
Feels very Monty Pythonesque.
Do we have a name for this visual style?
Whats wrong with *Renaissance Oil Paintings* ?
I'm not sure. I guess I'd call it Renaissance Painting-Montage?
@@AlphaBetaGamer That fits
👏👏👏 amazing....

Could you please link the music used?
I beat the last one and got all the achievements worth it
Monty python forever
The spirit of Lucasfilm lives on.
its fell like the monty payton animation
What's the song at the start
Hi! It's Mozart's Symphony No. 38 in D Major
Whelp looks like people can't not call video games art anymore, no sire
Haha, I think the new question is "is art video games?"
Did internet historian make this wtf
Only beef I have with this game is the use of emoticons and other such internet typings in the dialogues, otherwise it seems to be quite hilarious!
Indie games rule…
