I wish you would come to Ohio. It's always great weather where you're at. We have some clear roads here as far as traffic in the early mornings. The problem is we have a lot of foggy mornings with deer running across the roads on back highways. Maybe a Tesla can see thru the fog better. People here need that.

@@oceanbnd my in-laws live in Columbus Ohio and I lived in San Francisco for 30 years, not now. I can tell you that San Francisco fog really is legendary. search for a picture of fog covered golden gate bridge. it is a sight to see. :)

Waiting for v12.5.1.3.1 to hopefully be able to use sunglasses again. Unfortunately my eyes lose when it's about the NAG. Next I hope for reverse but that is not even listed in the "Upcoming" section. What is also missing is the ability to read ANY sign and understand its meaning. Example "lane closed 1/2 mile ahead". My car drove by that sign and literally right after, changed into that lane.
This is wonderful…..so when are the rest of us getting it? -HW3 owner

Same here. 21 MSP and furious were sitting around like dummies not getting anything. Like most I'm still on 12.3.6 and haven't even seen the hands free driving yet. The only lucky thing is 90% or better cars on FSD are HW3, so there's zero chance they can phase out HW3 anytime soon.

Looks more like autonomous level 5 than 4 to me. You don't need a steering wheel. At least level 4.

Out of nowhere today I had issues with FSD on a route I always take. Anyone now why?
What took FSD v12.5.1.3 so longgg to make that right turn with the flashing red light on a "Right Turn Only" lane???
I think it was a flashing yellow (colors are funky in night video)... but yeah, this is not good. Seems to be a recurring theme with both flashing red and yellow lights. Doesn't seem like it would be that difficult to fix... but I guess those AIs can be stubborn to train at times!

I was driving down a road and came up on a fire station with the flashing yellow lights that go red when a fire truck is pulling out . The FSD stopped at the flashing yellow! Not good. I pushed the go pedal and the car resumed to it's destination! Elon and his teams are getting sooooo close to perfection. It is sooooo much better with the recent updates!

The driver behind us honked since it's totally unexpected for someone to come to a complete stop on a dedicated-right-turn lane with only a yield sign -- it can be dangerous!

If snowy conditions are in the training data, it will handle it like a human would in such poor conditions.

Well, in SF there have been 10 measurable snowfalls since 1852, so I doubt Whole Mars is sweating it, but an interesting question in general. I wonder how much training video they have of "real" winter driving. Maybe he can go up into the Sierras for us later in the year so we can see.

Thanks for sharing - I can see the improvement from v12.3.6. Is that normal or aggressive driving style? How did you turn off the steering wheel alert cues?
12.5.x has attention monitoring requiring no 'wheel tug' but instead aclear vew of the drivers eyes. If your eyes are blocked by dark enough shades or by a hat it will go back to tug mode.

Who exactly will INSURE a self-driving car? I suspect that my insurance company will put a rider on my Tesla policy stating that they are not responsible for damages when FSD (not-supervised) is engaged. Will Tesla insure? Who will show up when a Tesla runs over a pedestrian or cyclist that jumps out from between parked cars? Who will be 1st to put their child on the front seat, kiss them on the forehead, and tell their Tesla to take that child to school, then stop at McD for a burger before returning home? This ain't happening any time soon.
So far the precedent has been that the manufacturer assumes liability, set by Mercedes with their level 3 driver aid.
If fsd is engaged, tesla takes on claims. If not engaged, your personal insurance does.
