This is NOTHING like LTL I did 20 years. LTL local delivery is hard work. You might have 15 stops a day, and then start picking up in the afternoon, and maybe work outbound on the dock until 9pm. Many stops are inside deliveries, with your little trusty hand truck. We started at 6am, loading our trailers with the incoming freight from the night before. Hit the road at 9ish, and busted ass to get empty by 2pm, to start the pickups. In summer, winter, hot, cold, and no a/c in the Volvo day cabs either. Its hard, dirty work, but honest and rewarding work too. Well paid for a job well done. I surely dont miss it. Get a drop and hook terminal to terminal job. Work smart, not hard.
