I really appreciate your doing a review at a restaurant that everyone can probably get to. I love seeing cool places you go, but they are typically in places people would need to travel to. Kinda cool to see your take on an everyday kinda place! Congrats on your marriage!
Ironically the asian stuff is easier for me than american places as a european.
They don’t have a red lobster in Vermont they do have an Olive Garden though
@@brucelarrow7897 yeah, I live in Vermont, so I know that, but that’s why I wrote that “probably” everyone could get to it. The point being, doing a review at a place with a thousand locations or so, spread out across a country (for the most part), rather than a place that has one or very limited locations, was kinda cool. Even living in VT, I have been to a Red Lobster a few times, in my life, lol.
Trust, I would much rather feast at most of the other places he goes. Mostly the ones in S.Korea. But I know the odds of that happening are pretty small. I was lucky to get to try an In N Out burger, lol

Mikey rewarded himself with a Michelin Starred restaurant for tolerating a bad Red Lobster 🦞 lol, the last time I was at a Red Lobster, it was near Cincinnati, Ohio, and my friend (microbiologist) had to have a serious discussion with the manager because 40% of the lobsters in the tank were dead... the resultant bacteria can be deadly. definitely have a peek at the tank next time you go there, just to be safe! another great video, Mikey!
You don't need to be a microbiologist to know that dead lobster can be very deadly within minutes of dying.

pappa roti is a chain from malaysia! they make fantastic coffee roti (roti refers to bread with origin in india, but is commonly used to call a bread/dough type of food in SEA, such as roti prata, roti john, etc), so glad to see it in your video!

I love how Mikey isn’t prejudiced when it comes to food. The restaurant opened early for him Mikey has the best in-laws.
I would highly HIGHLY recommend a restaurant in Chicago called Ricobene’s and there famous breaded steak sandwiches. Been around for a long time and food is amazing.

Alinea is not just the most exclusive restaurants in Chicago it is one of the most incredible restaurants in the world. Literally it's top 3 amongst Michelin Star Chefs.

I don’t know why but I found it funny that Mikey is as dressed up and he ever will be on these videos while eating at Red Lobster. I know it was a pre-dinner but still funny.

I finally went to Red Lobster & tried the burger, mushrooms, and "pizza". It wasn't bad, but it could've been so much better. I asked for my burger to be done medium, and when it came, it was fully cooked. The pizza was too salty. The mushrooms needed more seafood filling, especially for that price/portion.

Charcoal makes all the difference when grilling Korean bbq, that place looked bomb
100%. I refuse to go to a korean bbq with gas grills. The charcoal makes those burnt end pieces taste so much better.

I expected Mike to have poured some of that spicy sauce side onto the Garlic side for that fish lol so you get spicy garlic mix
I've been a regular Red Lobster patron forever, love their food but i would never buy a burger from a seafood restaurant. Every review I've seen of that burger has been it's just ok. Love watching you enjoy food.

I’ve eaten at Alinea, such a crazy experience. It’s incredibly creative, and I’m glad I did it, but I’m also not ashamed to say when we finished, my friend and I immediately hit a McDonalds, as oddly enough we were still very hungry. It’s not cheap, that’s for sure, but it’s definitely a fascinating way to eat.
Mikey, next time you’re in Chicago, if you can make it over to Rosemont, try Gene and Jude’s hot dogs… it’s terrific. Just make sure to order like three or four dogs, they’re that good.
It’s called being a pretentious money grab of fools trying to impress they friends… if u followed it up wid Mcdonalds that place is a joke 😂
@@seetheanimal5867 well in fairness, the food at Alinea IS amazing, but as I recall it’s all sort of bite-size portions, no big dishes, all taster portions. It was a pretty incredible experience, but I’m from Texas where we’re used to BIG meals. So when it was all said and done, we were still a bit hungry. I’m still glad I got to experience it though.

Have you ever tried to put the Korean Pancake over the charcoal grill? Maybe just for a few seconds each side. When I saw both of those in the same frame, it seemed like a natural.
