      Hi, love your videos! They inspired me to make more visual notes
      But after I finished anatomy and physiology it feels like other subjects can't be visually represented. In which other subjects can I write/draw notes like yours?

      You have half-answered my question ~ How do you draw those beautiful diagrams? How do you write notes, I mean what font you use etc. (your whole note taking process ~ step by step).
      Please make a video answering the 2nd part.

    I’m an artist and at art college, we are taught to do “master copies” where reference from an old famous artists and we copy exactly on a different paper. It helps us understand the thought process of the line strokes and techniques from the artist. Copying a lot of good drawings for personal practice is a great way of learning!

    My notes were always these bland, uninteresting type of only black pen mess. I didn't give too much thought to it, until my little sister started making these visually pleasing notes, that you just enjoy looking at. I'm still bad at it, but I'm on my journey. Thank you for this video, helped a lot

    I was so bored of taking handwritten notes within the first few weeks of PT school; I downloaded GoodNote from your previous videos back in like 2019.. it made taking notes so fun that half of the time I'd get carried away with drawing lol (especially Anatomy). Nonetheless, it kept my right brain (creative hemisphere) from dying off while I spent so much time with schoolwork. I appreciate the time and effort you put into these videos -- hopefully many others are finding this equally beneficial!

    I studied illustration in school and my teacher taught that professional illustrators trace to save time, because they are already trained to draw, they don’t need to spend time proving it in the process while doing a business project. It’s the ideas and personal flares and styles that they’re being paid for. Plus, in training, as you have learned and another commenter has said, we copy the masters to learn from the masters. Also, thanks for talking about film making. I was wondering about your film skills, because you take so much care with lighting and just your whole aesthetic is so professional looking that I thought you must have some background in that as well. Love your videos. 😊

    Every time I watch Samuel's videos, I always leave learning a life skill that I didn't go into the video hoping to learn. This is also ties in with his message of how you shouldn't be stuck at the small details and draw a fence around your learning, but let curiosity and questions drive you to expand your learning beyond a set limit. I really hope you take up teaching as a profession, whether it be a professor, instructor, or even a school teacher. Because i know for a fact that you will change the lives of many people, just as you are with your videos.

    You’re describing apprenticeship. A true student of mastering any subject demands they copy their teachers and repeat those lessons to death. You are 100% correct. There is an erroneous attitude out there not to apprentice essentially for their own lack of understanding of mastery, weaponizing what they don’t understand. Now please use your mastery to show me how to learn French better! :)

    How do you color your Diagrams without overlapping the color?

    • @fatherfemi7641
      @fatherfemi7641 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      don’t pick up the pen :) (also, idk but maybe notability just doesn’t overlap highlighter colors lol). you could also use a pen to color it in instead of a highlighter

    • @katebritt-hazard8373
      @katebritt-hazard8373 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      He’s using GoodNotes. If you look at about 2 minutes 15 seconds onwards you’ll see he is colouring in with the highlighter, not using a paint-fill function. One good feature of this app is that when you overlap lines of the same highlighter you don’t get a more intense area, unlike some apps. How does he not go over the black lines? No idea except being careful!

    • @fatherfemi7641
      @fatherfemi7641 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@katebritt-hazard8373 i have goodnotes, and it does overlap highlighter. it might be an old version of goodnotes, or notability. or he’s just not actually lifting the highlighter. he needs to reply to this so we’ll know for sure lol

    So you really got me thinking. I’m an old fart that has been interested in history. Local, state history from 1600-1700s. So I go to the local historical society in my county and find a ton of info. It’s all fascinating but there’s a big problem - it’s overwhelming. The reason your video grabbed me was that I had begun to work out a system to organize information and place it into useful categories to use for later. So the zen genni takes me to a couple of your videos. Visual note taking could really work here. Thanks btw I saw them (videos) on my ipad. T

    Maybe it will sound weird but this is what I learned thanks to League of Legends. I was looking everyday for profesional gameplay and then trying to imitate what they were doing. Although I didn't became profesional League player this skill that I learned thanks to this game is helping me in life.
