Only 42 seconds in but: YES! ME TOO! I never wanted anything to do with these guys...until I just happened across a little one at a coffee shop. OK - back to the video. 😆
Thank you for the awesome video and details. My curly lipstick plant has some dryness in it. Have been watering it regularly feed it but still it looks a lil dull. I have it on my east window. I’m based in houston. Thank you.
I love the lipstick plant!!!...unfortunately because I live in NYC, humidity comes only during the summer & early fall months, and I haven't been able to keep them alive. This is a beautiful one you displayed 😍😍😍😍
I propagated 2 stems from a neighbor in water, it worked but took FOREVER (6+ weeks) to get roots. I changed water 1-2x/week with tap water that sat out overnight. 6 weeks later they were still less than 1", I just transferred them to a 2" pot with 2 new stems only in water for a week with no roots yet. I dipped them in rooting hormone and planted then all up. We'll see.
Thank you for sharing your experience with this, I was really curious how it would go I occasioanlyl have some stems break off and I always get intimindated to prop it lol
I have a beautiful curly lipstick plant but it didn’t like being in a hanging planter, so I cut back die off parts and it’s growing well but only the one stem which is about 3ft long and growing….. how should I propagate to make fuller. From Suffolk, UK
Hey Theresa I was having this issue at first with mine, a lot of different things can cause this however for me it was under watering. Do your leaves feel on the limp side as well?
I have only ever done soil for these but I did see someone in the comments mention water props work fro them as well I would say whichever route you tend to be more cofortable with!
