VHS Openings to Don Bluth Movies

- I was introduced to Don Bluth’s films either on TV or online, so I never grew up with any of these tapes. But I thought this would be a nice compilation for fans who first saw these films on VHS, and for anyone interested in seeing the first video releases of them.
I also included two other VHS releases of An American Tail and The Land Before Time, since the original releases didn’t have that many previews, and I’m sure there are many people who are more attached to those tapes.

Before or after the pandemic, I did watch All Dogs Go To Heaven, The Pebble and The Penguin, An American Tail and Rock-A-Doodle
I was at a Thrift Store yesterday similar to Salvation Army and they had A LOT of VHS releases from the 80s and 90s. They had most of the Land Before Time sequels, but they didn't have the original.
To this very day of I'm in the mood to rewatch Land Before Time, I look for the birthday party commercial to watch before turning it on. It's part of the movie in my mind.

My favorites are An American Tail, The Pebble and the Penguin, Rock a Doodle, Anastasia, and Secret of NIMH.
The only Don Bluth movies I’ve seen as a kid is Anastasia, The Secret of Nimh and Thumbelina
The land before time, an American tail and all dogs go to heaven are all classics.

So the name of Croc's villain is Baron von Dante... I think it's clear that he's not even supposed to be there today.
there are two types of animation that makes me happy even today: Don Bluth movies and Japanese anime. seeing this video makes me very very happy. :) 👍👍👍

Here's a thought for the next VHS openings video, why not tackle all of the movies produced by Warner Bros Feature Animation (Space Jam, Quest for Camelot, The Iron Giant, Osmosis Jones, and Looney Tunes: Back in Action)?
That sounds like a great idea for him to do.

Very strange, none of the uploads of the Thumbelina VHS intro have the Animaniacs I'm Mad short (which was attatched to the theatrical release) but my local video store's copy did. I don't know if early prints had it and then it was removed or if it was added later. I don't think any prints of The Pebble And The Penguin VHS had the Pink Panther short that ran with it theatrically.
Maybe you misremembered it. And if it did have that short people probably can't show it for copyright and/or time issues
Speaking of that short I kinda wish it was on the original VHS release of Thumbeelina.
@@80sDisneyFan No it definitely was on some VHS prints of the film because that was the first place I saw that short, I hadn't seen Thumbelina theatrically

This got uploaded yesterday, but it got taken down not long after. What happened? Was it because of "copyright infringement"?
The video was blocked bc I played the 20th Century Fox logo at the end of Anastasia and Titan A.E. (probably the dumbest claim I’ve gotten considering every other clip was allowed), so I just decided to delete it and upload a re-edited version the next day.
I didn’t know people could still see the video before I deleted it, so this is kinda embarrassing 😅

Wait…WB Did Thumbilina then why did it show TCF Online when you Watch it?
Because Fox got the rights to it (along with A Troll in Central Park) sometime around the turn of the millennium.
Ballerina and the trumpet of the swan they’re all don sonth movies from 20th century Columbia.

The NIMH cover in the thumbnail is not the original cover and you forgot to do the opening to Banjo the Woodpile Cat and the closings to An American Tail and The Pebble and the Penguin.
