I dropped beatsource for a while but literally picked it back up over the weekend to play a gig where we had some live progressive rappers and artists doing sets. And I remembered why I really love it so much. Just loaded up some Hip hop playlists and remixes to play between sets and I must say. Im a old head so I struggle knowing what people like today but I trusted beatsource choices and they loved my song choices. Especially mashups between the new new and some classics. Yea Ill be sticking with beatsource link again. I just wish we could make sub crates within the offline locker. For the price this must be on the way.

It can dig you out of a hole when you forget to download specific tracks but not just that, I find that customers nowadays have an expectation that you will have pretty much everything ; even some pretty obscure things, so this makes life a lot easier 👍👍

In their latin category everything is labeled as LATIN instead of reggaeton / dembow / salsa / etc. Im wondering if the same was done for other genres. with that aside i have been stagnant with my crates so looking thru their curated stuff can definitely re-spark my creative side.
Building your playlists and your personal music curation is part of who you are as a DJ (it is basically "your sound"). While this type of tech does streamline the DJ process, it comes at the cost of some of your individuality and personal style (and makes you more like the seven hundred thousand people trying to DJ). Remember to always ask yourself "why should his promoter book me over this other guy..." if you don't have a good answer, look at your work flow and craft.

Once I updated my MacBook to Big Sur chrome started making the fan run all the time so I deleted it all together. Hoping this becomes compatible with safari. Also I’m hoping in the future there’s someway to combine streaming tracks into other playlists. As of now it serves only as backup music and to have fun with at home.

If you go a bit deeper in their Latin section, they actually organize it into playlists like salsa, maggaeton, cubmia, etc!

It’s actually both. It’s a streaming service for your DJ software that also allows you to save tracks onto your computer for offline use.

Is the DJ web app capable of having a controller be mapped to control specific functions (ie EQ, Crossfader, tempo etc)?
YES! There are also some controllers that are natively supported as well!
