- What's the Best Pizza in NYC? What if I told you it was Best Pizza? Yep you read that correctly, it's not a typo. The Best Pizza in New York City is literally a place called Best Pizza in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Even though there are tons of great eats in Brooklyn and tons of restaurants in Brooklyn, especially tons of restaurants in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, Best Pizza stands out as one of the best New York slices I've ever had. If you're looking for great NYC pizza look no further than this place! It might not have the best name, but it definitely pulls its weight in flavor. The pizza may not be special, not exactly your hipster slice, but it's typical no frills New York style pizza and it does that style better than most places I have been to. I would even go so far as saying Best Pizza is on my list for some of the best pizza in the world. Add Best Pizza to your NYC pizza tour list as it's definitely one of the best NYC pizza slices I've ever had. Brooklyn is already a mecca of pizza and, as Best Pizza is one of the best pizzas in Brooklyn, if not the best pizza in Brooklyn, that automatically makes it the best Pizza in NYC.

100p the best pizza i've ever had. The crunchyness, quality of the dough, and perfect balance of ingredients makes it special! About a 30 min. walk from my crib, but I take the hike at least once a week to treat my self lol

Frank Pinello was trained at the Culinary Institute of America. He uses high quality ingredients, equipment, and takes pride in his product. He has a few locations now and deserves his success. He came to my city Toronto years ago to help setup the NORTH OF BROOKLYN (a pizza shop now with several locations). He helped develop the recipes and train some staff. They make great pizza and Dave Portnoy was impressed with their pizza during a recent visit.

I lived in Brooklyn for 40 years, and I agree that the best pizza 🍕 is in Brooklyn. With a few exceptions from maybe one pizzeria in Little Italy and one in Authur Ave in the Bronx. Now I live in Florida and miss NY Pizza.

I live a 10 minute walk from there. Been maybe 15 times. Can only get whole pies there. Usually when I get a slice not only does it take forever, but it's about half the size of the ones you were served.
Really? I never had issue getting full slices there and wait times were reasonable for me. Btw I recommend the grandma slice there it's awesome!

Question...Best Pizza has a brick oven and a gas (or electric) oven...any idea why and what each is used for?
Good question! I'm not sure, I saw them using both. Maybe they cook each pizza in two steps? Just a guess
Scott, it's a Wood fired oven. I need to redo my visit there
basically the brick oven is for the pies and we cook them in there for maybe 4 minutes each but if it’s still a little under cooked, we’ll put it in the gas oven for a little under a minute so it can get a bit more cooked without getting burned by the wood fire oven. we also use the gas oven for the slices because if we try to heat up the slices in the wood fire then it’ll get burned very quickly due to how hot it is in there. Hope this answered your questions.

It looks like deli style thin cut pepperoni. Overall, it really looks like a well done slice without too many ingredients. Anyone know how much is a plain slice?
Good observation! And yes it's a no frills slice but a very well done one. Hits the spot every time. A plain slice is $3.75

Yes glad someone noticed that. Unfortunately the owner of the channel seems to be asleep and hence didn't even notice it or point it out to us. I love how they don’t put the pepperoni on top of a cheese slice like an afterthought like many pizza places. It’s also not too crunchy like a cracker or powdery like the the corner places in Manhattan. He also put Parmesan on the sauce first and that brings out the flavor of mozzarella. Many Manhattan pizza places only use a cheap mozzarella and no Parmesan which creates a bland flavor.

Hello, i was in NYC during 12 days last august, and in my opinion the best pizza is in Williamsburg, is really under the Marcy Avenue train station (very close to the stairs), in a very small pizza store. You pay only 17 Dollars for a big pizza that is much better than the big pizzas that you eat in Manhattan for 70 dollars!

Idk if this place fell off but I went yesterday solely on Dave portnoy’s review. He rated this pizza a 9.1
The crust was the best part but overall so disappointed. 2 slices & a soda is $10.
I would rate this pizza myself 6.8 I can’t believe Dave gave this a 9. Makes me think he’s not as professional as he says.
