you can rest in between the tour, no need to finish it in one go....like i cast all kind of friendly spells, or take a nap, whatever. They wait for me...or i can catchup ;)
Lol classic. I remember that happening to me. Thankfully they made those mana wells that dot the brigde into heat sources so you can use them to warm up while Faralda rambles.
Use fur armor, soups, wine, and a torch. And do not go to Faralda already nearly frozen. With preparation you can go outside in snow storm and resist long period of time. That's why this mod is so awesome, you can fight with cold and winter as an adapted nord can do.
This mod is simply a must have. I'm not the biggest fan of Skyrim, never was, but many of the fond memories I have of the game revolve, not around that mod, but the experience it created. It plays so well on the strength of Skyrim : it's environment, that you barely notice it's there. Can't even imagine booting the game without it.
+This is Caboose everytime i clean out mods or start fresh the first mod i think of to install is frostfall this game is soooo poor without mods i couldn't imagine being on xbox and im a massive fan of the elder scrolls series
+Radu Ispas That's my issue with it. It often began to not work due to SO many scripts. I'd rather have a lot of other mods cover that amount of scripts than just this one.
@@samlancaster3130 Most deaths in the boreal forest are from the cold before any bear or wolf gets to them. I'd say the mod succeeded in being very realistic in that regard.
A random thought that's probably been said before, it would be interesting to have different effects for the beast races. Kajiit could have better warmth but be much more vulnerable to coverage/getting wet and staying wet, as their fur soaks up water. Argonians could have the reverse--good coverage, bad warmth retention (being cold blooded and all).
+nevirful If you want to try it now you can, Brodual didn't mention this, but Frostfall is now far more performance friendly then it's previous versions. The scripts run far better now so you shouldn't need a supercomputer to be able to run this mod properly :)
I believe I remember a modder saying it was virtually impossible to add more skill and perk trees due to limitations of the engine. this new unique and separate perk system appears to be an excellent workaround.
The way the new pers/skill systems work and look is absolutely fantastic... I hope Bethesda takes notice of this method for the next TES game. Sure, looking at the stars is a nice touch, but seeing it hower right in front of you is just amazing.
My one gripe with this mod is that skyrim feels too damn civilized. I'd love to see a mod that just makes the Skyrim map bigger, with lots more untamed wilderness to live in.
I never play Skyrim without this mod. Seeing as how so many people say that Skyrim is a cold, harsh but beautiful land, it would only make sense that even after killing 5 dragons in a row with a pickaxe, the badass that you are can go down to hypothermia.
Borya Stanislov There's a massive need for SKSE. You're not big on modding, otherwise you wouldn't say that. SKSE is used by over 90% of the mods on the skyrim nexus. Even the smallest mods like TK Dodge or TK Hitstop requires the latest SKSE.

wow, just wow... in first person the first few scenes looked really nice! almost like a modern game... just thinking about how old skyrim is allready and how great it *still* plays... fantastic job bethesda and modders
So excited that Chesko is still doing this! Though the conjured tents will be a must, can't wait for that! Then I can dive back into getting Requiem to work with all my other mods! Hmm, speaking of conjured tents makes me think of what a Necromancer's magicked tent would look like.... ...While squishy, those semi-living hides are quite warm.
Original, Chesko got access earlier. Alot of mods, like Frostfall, iNeed etc. got it too, so you have them. Sadly not RN&D, which is the one I feel is significantly superior to iNeed but it will have to suffice!
The problem I get with this mod (at least before), is that I get so dependent on wearing fur everywhere, that there is no point in using other armor. I also like playing with mods that limits my carry weight, so that I cannot carry around several sets of armor - which, with Frostfall, seems kind of necessary when facing changing weathers, in addition to preparing for fights.
So pretty much the ultimate realistic skyrim play through is: frostfall, realistic needs and diseases, camping, and wet and cold. I'm running 2 of these at least :D

should add a feature that makes it opposite for vampires, so they are comfortable in snow or rain but get increased exposure in sun and need to cover up or make shelter
+Vime Box that would be legit. except, the only problem, when we are playing skyrim while its late, us being cold in real life will make us want to go to bed, not play the game...assuming we arent tired though, hell yea that would be cool
+Vime Box Lol yeah I think I'd Skip that addon, can imagine it causing everyone else in the home to become crazed bandits attacking you to shut off the game... which I guess really adds to immersion though hmm might be on to something....
OMG THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR IN SKYRIM!!! FOR SO LONG I HAVE WANTED A COMPLETELY SURVIVAL BASED VERSION OF THE GAME, WERE I NEED TO STAY WARM, EAT, AND DRINK. THANKS TO YOU I FOUND IT!!! NOW MY CHARACTER DOESN'T HAVE TO BE "the chosen one" OR "the dragonborn" NOW HE CAN JUST BE A REGULAR HUNTER IN SKYRIM!!!!
Nope combine it with iNeed. It's lighter and needs very few patches. You should also try Alternate Start, Live Another Life if you want to totally not be the Dragonborn
what would be awesome is if the creator of either frostfall or the elemental destruction mod made a plugin to make the new spells have effects on exposure and wetnessz
Anyone else think it would be a good idea if the max exposure could be a chance thing, so for example there is a 50% chance you would get rescued and 50% chance you would just die. (would be configurable in mod menu) It could also change the percentages based on where you are, so you would be more likely to be rescued right outside a town or city but less likely in the middle of the no where.
This is the reason i still play and have over 1k hours in skyrim, Mods like this add what Dev just aren't allow to add because of time or budget restrains.
I watch this in my leather tent whilst I wait for the rain to pass. I have fast travel on so I can place markers though. Turning it off removes the ability to place markers on places you've discovered. (However you can place markers next to it, though this is tedious.)
You have got to be kidding me. After a month of testing mods, I was about to start a play-through and now I have to wait for a patch for this that is compatible with Requiem. I swear, I love Requiem, but it is a god damn pain in the ass when it comes to compatibility.
I think more games should embrace this type of modding community. I mean I've gotten endless replay value because of these mods, most games like fallout or elder scrolls are a play once then forget and maybe play again at some point types of games. At least for me, but being able to add tons of stuff, add entire quest lines, characters, weapons and armor, places, basically expanding the world beyond measure makes the game have endless possibilities. I don't see why you wouldnt want this on most games! Imagine grand theft auto with this type of modding, or the witcher wild hunt! it would be fucking glorious.
When I was playing with frostfall, I didn't feel the need to set up camp as there were already quite a few fires around the world, and I liked to sleep at the many inns, which was cheap after all. Would I be able to access the new skill trees in 3.0 without setting up a camp?
This mod is pretty awesome and does something that should have been in the game all along. But when I first heard about it, the first thing I thought was: "umm but doesn't it also make sense for a mage like me to cast flame cloak, or craft a flame cloak (or warmth) ring to fight off exposure?".
You can bet there will be a variation of these mods for Fallout 4 for PC and consoles in the near future! Hi, checked this video hoping for a solution to my problem. Installed Frostfall and Campfire a couple weeks ago but only now I noticed that you can learn the Conjure Shelter spell. However I could only use the Fire pit that is conjured with the shelter on the first time I used the spell, all other times I tried using this spell, interacting with the Fire pit didn't show the option to light it up. I had to use the ability to Build Campfire and put it on top of the Fire pit in order to get some cooking done. Has anyone had the same problem?
In this link you can see a screenshot for what it is supposed to look like: sites.google.com/site/skyrimsurvivorseries/frostfall/spells/conjure-shelter-lesser In this link you can see what mine looks like after placing a Campfire on top of the Fire pit: www.dropbox.com/s/xjf89qlm8mel5ps/ScreenShot2.bmp?dl=0 And here is what shows up when i try to interact with the Fire pit: www.dropbox.com/s/0oxualil3xfat67/ScreenShot3.bmp?dl=0
i'm having problem with this mod. All the features work except for cooking pot and tent glowing near any heat source including the one I build from campfire mod. what is wrong with it?
Does the mod still treat you as a clod blooded lizard? Because last time I checked you could be wearing a full set of warm clothes and a cloak and you'd still get cold eventually, even in weather that was only slightly cold. But warm clothing isn't just about conserving heat, it's about allowing you to generate heat faster than you lose it, if I'm well enough clothed the heat lost shouldn't be greater than the heat gained form my metabolism, and I should therefore not get colder, regardless of how long I'm outside, (granted that I'm healthy and fed enough to maintain heat) I also presume that ice caves are still treated as protection form cold? (the sense of which is very limited)
PLS HELP ME! I installed frostfall 3.0 and campfire but when i'm in game campfire says that frostfall is outdate and it doesnt work!!! What i have to do?
Frostfall initially included camping, but then left it to Campfire. Does this version integrate camping back into it? Though I could just click the link...
I know this video is old but has chesco ever been anywhere cold? Humans are actually surprisingly good at dealing with the cold. And if skyrim was as cold as the mod made it seem no one would live there. The cold water makes sense but you should not be freezing to death in the middle of a battle in morthal
i have a question what if you are a vampire nord with max frost resistance(you know when you starve as a vampire and get a frost resist boost) how does the game treat that?
Skyrim modders should make their own game. These mods are just a step above the other.

PLS HELP ME! I installed frostfall 3.0 and campfire but when i'm in game campfire says that frostfall is outdate and it doesnt work!!! What i have to do?
Can casting a flame cloak spell on yourself warm you up? And do frost cloaks increase your exposure levels?
Frostfall initially included camping, but then left it to Campfire.
Does this version integrate camping back into it?
Though I could just click the link...
At the beginning of the video we saw riverwood but it was under snow. Is this a feature you neglected to mention or another mod
I know this video is old but has chesco ever been anywhere cold? Humans are actually surprisingly good at dealing with the cold. And if skyrim was as cold as the mod made it seem no one would live there. The cold water makes sense but you should not be freezing to death in the middle of a battle in morthal
i have a question
what if you are a vampire nord with max frost resistance(you know when you starve as a vampire and get a frost resist boost)
how does the game treat that?
I'm hoping that they add some kind of spell to conjure a floating fireball or something , a more magical type of campfire...
This last update broke my fucking game.
