I quarter cut and spiraled the top, took a lil jingle cat ball dropped it into a square of toilet paper and put it into the spiraled roll. Added Olivia's favorite foods in the cat ball and instant foraging success 😁 so cheep and easy
She is so frigging cute, and a real boss birb
Here's one of mine: Loosely crumple up a length of packing/shipping paper, put it in a low-cut container (like a cardboard flat from canned goods) and sprinkle seeds in all the crevices and folds.

if i hand raise two pigeons together will they be friends of will they not like each other?
Man I just threw away a bunch, but gonna keep these in mind next time! So far I've been keeping them enriched with leftover receipts and shredded paper for nesting material and leaving them in a little box next to the couples nest and around the room when I let them explore and stretch outside the cage
That sounds like great, you could add some washed milk carton lids to there treasure box as well, Tallulah loves those😂

I have found that rabbit or hamster to toys make the best pigeon toy because they are basically either made out of hay or wood and they can destroy them and just pull them apart if they’re made out of hay

For me the audio quality was slightly off, had to turn the volume up and concentrate more than normal. Maybe speak a bit more slowly for YT than IRL with more deliberate pauses between sentences. Anyway, Tallulah is a very lucky pigeon.
Could you use leaves instead for the food foraging?
Thanks for the feedback! How I did this one was a bit of an experiment, so that’s particularly helpful here. So long as the leaves are bird safe (some are poisonous so definitely consult a bird safe and toxic plants list first) and clean (not from a location that’s treated with pesticides, off the ground or from the side of a road. Just follow the same collection guidelines used to get perches for parrots. Though I personally don’t bother with the baking step so long as the foliage has been taken from a clean location.) then absolutely! I’ve used autumn leaves for Tallulah and it was one of her favourites, she carried it around until the whole thing crumbled into just the stem, then she carried the stem around for weeks after.

It takes a while to build a channel, to find your groove and to find an audience. Luckily you can experiment without upsetting viewers because there aren't yet vast hordes of them with expectations you feel obligated to meet.
Speaking as a typical viewer, I also prefer to see you on screen but can understand why just the bird with voiceover might suit.
When you are on screen there is a lot more visual interest in your lovely self and how you stroke Tallulah.
You are making a programme for pigeon owners, however, there are many more people that don't own a pet due to life circumstance, so a 'virtual pet' is pretty good.
I still want to see a 'day in the life of...' with Tallulah, just to have an idea of when she gets up and goes to bed in the evening. Plus what happens if you keep her up past her bedtime?!?
