The Prusik, with an "inch-worm motion, allowed me to ascend 100 ft elevation. It works.

I find that using a Bachmann’s knot works better than a prusik as a replacement hand ascender. The addition of the carabiner allows it to slide up the rope easier while still creating enough friction to not slip when loaded. The carabiner also lets you easily attach a foot loop to aid in ascending, as well as providing a good place to grip.
Another trick i like to use is flaking my rope on my shoulders, draped around my neck. For me at least, it’s much faster. An old firefighter taught me it, ever since trying it once I’ve never went back to the old method.

Tbh the prusik is probably the last slip/grip knot i would use, bachmann is good but never grip or load the crab as that is not how the knot/hitch works, it'll slip, only ever load the loop.

Your square knot looks incorrect, be careful of that.

Yes I see that on the harness. I was tying this for the camera. You can see I actually tied a second harness (black) with the proper knot. The figure eight has never failed me yet, so that is just a security feature, but definitely a reason to triple check. I think it's actually just an overhand...good eye though.
