actucally, you can get invincibility underwater, but only on the first underwater stage... it's due to the one box that shuffles it's item around. having 2 masks does not change that box so you can get a 3rd off it underwater
in the EU version of Warped you can just do regular Slide Jumps to get over Dingodiles crystals, on the downside the wizards in the medieval stages needs 2 hits to die
Kill and save the animals is an incentive for one of the biggest runs in the event, Super Metroid, at the end of the escape sequence you can choose to go out of your way to save trapped animals, or go directly to finish the game. The incentive tends to be the hardest fought out of any in the event.
Why even race against someone doing no SFX? It wasn't much of a race when you're guaranteed to be slower
Exactly. If you know that one person will have sfx for wievers, why not keep sfx for both players

You don't even have to slidespin over Dingo's walls. Just slide jump. In the remake you have to slidespin.
