Yeah Donald is WAY more popular in Europe, and rightfully so. The duck comics over there are great, the mainstream US only really got Donald and Co in OG Ducktales, shorts, and the Mickey and Co movies, which easily offer the worst depiction of him. The comics offer him a much better and realistic personality. He’s a lot more likable in those.
This was one of my favourite games as a kid. I LOVED the bungee level. I wonder if thatd be any different now.. Found the volcano level extremely stressful and pretty scary - that music was INTENSE. Made me think about the panic of slowly cooking to death. Of course the sunken ship and eyeball levels were also scary, but volcano was panic-inducing.
Nicely done. Maui Mallard in Cold Shadow (often referred to as "Donald in Maui Mallard" in the UK) is a video game released by Disney Interactive in 1996 for Windows 95, Game Boy and Super NES. A planned North American Genesis version is also in the works but was cancelled.
I have Donald in Maui Mallard for SEGA it have different weapon effects and some changes and addons to game mechanics and it seems stages are different too. And sound is different too.
Maui Mallard in Cold Shadow and Donald in Maui Mallard are not the same game tho :p Since Donald in Maui Mallard has way more difficult levels than this version does LOL
amazing to see this...one day, though. I dream of seeing the PC version one day. also...."cold shower" I lost it there...and when he said he'd have to to escort eyeballs and a slice of pizza, hahaha xD
Music was done by Michael Giacchino who composed LOST, Star Trek and Doctor Strange as well as Rogue one among others^^
still one of the best hidden gems on SNES.
Oh, audio is fixed now, thank you so much guys, i love this game, and nice run Mecha!
Maui Mallard is a Magnum PI spoof. He's a private eye wearing a Hawaiian shirt and a baseball cap.
World Record HYPE!
They were so skeptical at the beginning haha.
Love the run & the couch :)
Thank you so much for the fixed audio, awesome run!

Team Poor Life Choices,
Awesome run!
By the way, the background in the last level is totally Obituary.
Amazing audience.
funny how this game starts off amazingly cool and becomes really shitty at times
This game reminds me of pitfall on snes
I've only been able to make it to the auto scrolling lava level. Great game either way. :)
Would love to see the sega version done quick from this.
Don't know much about game creation and design, but game looks like Earthworm Jim and some earlier Rayman games. Good run ,too.
Aw, this game! Yesss!!!
Interesting fact, MechaRichter. Thanks for the tidbit.
