  • Hello everyone, in this video today we will demonstrate how to climb a coconut tree using a very easy piece of equipment called a 'Hunters stand' (Available on Amazon here amzn.to/3qcxcUX)
    Dillion used this stand to climb up the coconut tree very easily.
    We harvested about 50 + coconuts. They were very tasty and round. While drinking them it seemed as if they never ran out of coconut water.
    I can't wait till the coconuts on my farm grow.

    Cutting the price in half of a contractor that charges 100 to 150 a tree to prune them is a great side hustle and I have a waiting list in Port Saint Lucie! Love my Summit Viper SD ! Paid for itself the first day ! Keep it up bud and enjoy those beautiful Coconuts that unfortunately most people consider trash ! Sucks to be them !

      yoooo! can we chat? I'm literally about to try the same thing in the Cocoa and Merit area. Are you saying you charge 100-150, or are you saying the contractor charges that much? What are your rates?

      @@mattbuszko they can't find anyone to clear and prune trees around Florida and you could go anywhere and get 50 to 60 a tree cash only and they'll pay ! Cash is King and you'll clean up !

    A very nice climbing a coconut tree device,l would love to see it done with arms and legs.

  • @gr8handsftl
    @gr8handsftl 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Awesome. Would be nice to use one of those climbers instead of using a ladder.
    Typically though, I just take my machete up the tree and hack of the entire peduncle off with all of the coconuts, using a rope to help lower it.
    I could see using both ;-)

    • @gardenflorida
      @gardenflorida  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I can't wait till my coconuts on my farm grow. I defiantly think we should have brought a machete It would have been easier to hack away at the peduncle.

    Wow such a beautiful coconut tree and fruits. Do you know which variety it is? I thought it would be a yellow malayan dwarf but the coconut has a big bole, so I take it it is a tall type. What makes this even harder is the way you said the water is sweet! Usually the dwarfs have the sweeter water:)

    • @gardenflorida
      @gardenflorida  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It was very tall indeed! I am not sure of this coconut palm variety, the coco was sort of red / brownish and yes in fact did have very sweet varieties. Well, I have dwarf varieties planted at my farm so I am excited that the water on those is typically sweeter thanks for letting me know!

      @@gardenflorida Do you guys have any safety equipment. It just looks like you are using a tree stand for deer hunting with no safety harness. An accident that high you will break something.

    Have two coconut palms that are constantly full of coconuts snd they are delicious. I don’t allow my gardener to use any chemicals because I love to drink the water. My gardener will harvest some for me cos I love them but there are way too many so if those guys want to come and harvest some for themselves, they are welcome to contact me.
