Mahalos John, not sure how I missed this comment years ago! You were one of my original TH-cam university professors, thanku so much fo all you do, look us up if you come to Maui, love to host you :)
One key info iam missing. At what point do i have to take them off the tree? Are they ripening off the tree or do they they on all they to the shaker stage? Thanks
why does shaker coconut you can hear water and others you cannot? also, if there is no air in the coconut, how does it make shaker (water) sound? an experiment showed there is not air - if air in coconut then something got into it or a crack = possible contamination. can you shake in a vacuum?
It will take around 6 months, the coconut needs to stay on the tree while ripening. Patience, hopefully you can find a brown coconut at store, on beach or at friends house in meantime :)
Actually I was confused about that and I thought that the without husk coconut have different plant than the coconut which have lot of water at unmatured age
@@CoconutInformation thank you, i live on the canary islands. coconuts usually dont grow here but i got my hands on a few stage 1 and 2 coconuts and want to grow them in my yard
Kindly enlighten me on the coconut which fall down on it's own . They have water but when i pierced the holes i felt the shell and hence could not go any further . Now will they mature over a period of time on their own ? Or what else has to be done . They are falling when the the outside husk is green but there is hard shell inside . How can i use them ?

Nice quality video. It would have been even better if you showed the fourth stage, a sprouted coconut with its sweet, sponge cake center.

Need help here
What is the characteristic used to classify coconut in stage 1 and stage 2?
When can we call it flower, first a stem comes out then it opens.
Is that the time we start counting months?
Please include dry coconut also in the life cycle
why does shaker coconut you can hear water and others you cannot?
also, if there is no air in the coconut, how does it make shaker (water) sound?
an experiment showed there is not air - if air in coconut then something got into it or a crack = possible contamination.
can you shake in a vacuum?
Which is best to drink ?
Will a green coconut off of the tree eventually turn brown and how long will it take. I have a green one but want a brown one to eat. Thanks

@@CoconutInformation Thank you for your fast response. Mine is already off the tree though :(
Can u make milk out of the first 2 as well even though there is not much meat ?
What about the dry coconut have u ever tasted it ? ...can u make a video on that too
Hi! Can you still tell the age of the coconut even with the husk removed? Thanks
The rubber meat coconut is usually a staple drink in the Philippines rather than the shakers.
Thanks for all the information !😎 but ..How do I get my tree to ..stop ..producing coconuts? I like the tree and don’t want to cut it down
Ironically your tree is simultaneously thinking - "How can I get this human to start eating these coconuts"
coooooooooool
We bought a coconut and the lady told us to grab the bigg and heaviest. Wellvthe meat was too young. Can a coconut mature after picking it off a tree?
What about the sprouted coconut?
Actually I was confused about that and I thought that the without husk coconut have different plant than the coconut which have lot of water at unmatured age
TIL the fuzzy brown coconuts in a tree was a lie
You forgot about sprouted coconut with an edible oily sponge inside.
You forgot seeded Coconut. When the seedling has formed and there is a full coconut with meat that has a different texture.
Where do you live and where is this coconut farm
ʻōiʻo haohao ʻili kole oʻo hoʻoiho ōkaʻa these are the Hawaiian stages of coconut
What about sprouted coconuts?
Plant em :)
Just lost an argument because of this video
My boy! All you had to say was, Blanco, Reposado, and Anejo.
do they age after being harvested? i dont want to wait for nothing haha
once picked they no longer "ripen", eat em now
Can i grow a coconut tree from a Stage 1 nut ?
Hi Aaron, no only from a shaker or brown nut, the nuts need to mature on the tree to last stage to be viable as a "seed"
@@CoconutInformation thank you, i live on the canary islands. coconuts usually dont grow here but i got my hands on a few stage 1 and 2 coconuts and want to grow them in my yard
its your coco time
Actually i think you missed another stage, sprouted coconut
U missed the sprouted stage
