Btw just a heads up, this bike is tuned quite tight with the back pressure of the stock exhaust into account (due to Euro 5 requirements). Having it run an open pipe (or open slip on) makes the bike run Lean and you'll get worse HP and MPG other than an increase in heat and engine wear. If you plan to put a loud slip on, high flow air filter or a full system exhaust, you need to reflash the ECU to keep the bike optimal. It's a mistake people in my area make who bought that bike, they immediately put a slip on exhaust and complain why the bike had worse mpg and discoloration in their slip on.

@@Jrobez1127 In my area, a tuner with a dynojet setup for motorcycles was able to tune the 450sr/ss, I guess any shop with a similar setup can tune it.
My only concern is that with everyone launching 270° twins, people will eventually get tired of it's sound.. hopefully not because those downshift rumbles are just awesome. I was really wanting to get an R7 because the R1 is not just super tall for my short frame but it's way above my skill and wallet. Even an R7 is currently too pricey and coming back to biking after nearly a decade and in a new country, im trying to leep my ego aside. I was very happy to find the CFMoto 450SR because it quite simply has the best bits of the R7, has a totally manageable weight and height and while I can't buy one just yet, it seems a lot more achievable of a dream and one that o van actually take out and ride. Would have loved to consider the 450NK instead but currently no plans for launching that bike in the UAE. Which is a bummer as I'm nearly 40 and I want to take it easy on my back.

A tune would probably be wise, not sure if completely necessary, all in all wouldn't recommend riding it without a muffler anyway, there's some good after market mufflers out there.

@@batmotontiktokthe sc project is the best exhaust for the parallel twin it really complements the crossplane KTM engine of this beauty, get a slip on replica they are pretty cheap around 100 bucks
As long as you leave the cats alone you should be good plus if you leave the cats you will keep most of your back pressure to keep it running strong and clean

@@AC399 if the slip on you get for it has a baffle or choke to add some back pressure then it should be good for daily use without an ECU reflash.

It sounds like my 890 Duke after I did my exhaust a unique sound in between a V twin, considering it’s a parallel but all about that crank!
