Bought mine in Dec./2019. I have a small collection of 380's , including the Springfield's 911 380. It was the nicest 380 I owned. The Legion feels just more solid, looks fantastic and shoots great. Only 75 rounds thru it my 1st range time ,including a few different defensive rounds and 100% performance. I'm not a real 1911 guy but I LOVE this firearm !! What a beautiful color and an exceptionaly machined tool.
This was my first purchase JUST bc of the way it felt in hand and looks,My legion came with hard carry case, trigger lock,1 flat bottom mag, plus two extended mags, all mags 6+1 in chamber, and nice decals and patch, was told there was an non advertised sale going, and paid $400.00 Feb2020,I see them online ranging 475-to 680,but soft carry case, and I mag,no patches, decals,so Im Thinking I got a great deal.I like it so much that on a range day, came across a Sig P226,BAM,BOUGHT THAT ONE TWO,AND WHAT A GUN IT IS,LOTS OF COMPLIMENTS TOO,NOT MY SHOOTING,THE GUN,LOL,NOW I AM ON THE HUNT FOR 12 GAUGE ATUO,SO MANY TO CHOOSE FROM,HEHEHE,MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL,PEACE
I just released a long overdue review of my solid shooting 238 dubbed "the Gentleman's Pocket Gun" this weekend and In my opinion I don't see you going wrong with this new offering ESPECIALLY if you haven't bought one yet... Just a fun and easy to shoot pocket gun:)
I just bought on yesterday for an excellent price on sale. The only drawback is that you can't swap mags with the regular P238, otherwise it is an excellent piece.
I ordered one a couple weeks ago and it came in today. I really like this little shooter. I registered on SIGS website and they gave me a free coupon code for a range bag and p238 coin, absolutely free, including shipping. I also sent in my rebate which included ammo and another bag. Just thought id let you know. Hope you enjoy it!
If you look around online, you can get a Ruger LCP2 for $240-$260 with one magazine. An extra magazine will cost you about $30. Online, you can get a Sig P238 for $480-$500 with 3 magazines. So the Sig is still a lot more expensive than a Ruger LCP 2 with 3 magazines, but it's considered a higher quality pistol. I have the LCP2; it's been reliable but it's taken a lot of range time just to get reasonably accurate with it due to it's poor sights and snappiness. I'm still not as accurate with it as I am with my Bersa Thunder which is a lot heavier, larger and has better sights. However, the Bersa is too big and heavy for pocket carry. I am considering buying the Sig P238 Legion. Why? I expect the P238 to be softer shooting due to being heavier, and more accurate due to the better sights than my LCP 2 but still small enough for pocket carry.
I would but a double stack p 938. Love mine (single) Keep the Legion, I'll buy my own PFC Stripes. Legion 1911 might also be fun. Ps. Also add more rounds. Some big hand guys like me wouldn't complain. Love Sig.
I just bought one yesterday. The answer is no. I purchased this because I have 3 non-Legion P238s thinking I could exchange mags. The Legion mags are narrower and they do not swap out - in either direction. At least the Legion comes with 3 mags.
Yes you can remove the extended magwell, and the 6 rnd flush magazine will fit. The standard 7 rnd hits a raised area on the mainspring housing. It will still seat, but not ideally. Thinking about going to a houge mainspring housing. I prefer to pocket carry in a desantis holster that squares it off, and makes it appear like a wallet, or large cell phone. Only looks that way with the flush mag.
@@charleslowrey9309 Love the DeSantis, I've been using it since I got my 1st P238. I did have to modify it by cutting a small piece out to allow me to operate the safety. I also love the Sneaky Pete for carrying it.
I am literally waiting for Black Friday deals so I could get a P238 HD (the more expensive stainless version) for my 13 year old daughter!! I live in CA so don’t know if this will be available for sale, but according to thefirearmblog.com, the legion version of the 238 has MSRP of $850 and 938 for $904; BOTH will COME WITH THREE, yes THREE, 7 round steel mags!!!! I can’t verify; the blog’s address showed up on my recommended to read since google ‘knows’ I researched P238s...
Look I own toe these SIG pocket guns, I’m a fan so no hate here. However other than stylizing, is really better than the standard p238? Is the TRIGGER way better or the BARREL? Everything else looks the same.
I have 3 regular P238s and added a Legion yesterday. The biggest drawback is the mags are not interchangeable with the regular P238 BUT, they carry 7 rounds. The Flat trigger is nice and the sights seem to be brighter than the normal Novaks. forget the old TGLs which were a disaster
None of my 7 round magazines for other p238s work with my legion p238 proprietary magazines and you guys dont have them for sale...wtf I'm not spending range time filling mags
I bought my P320 X5 legion in Argentina. I paid more than what it cost in the USA however, when I tried to register the serial number to get the coin, it was invalid. I called Sig Sauer and they said I am not elegible because the gun was for export. I really don't care if it was for export, I just wanted my coin. I asked them to ship the coin to Hawaii and also they said no. Last Sig Sauer product I buy, I am so disappointed.
@@Gamenofun I'll disagree. I've had 3 P238s (and just added the Legion) for several years. Never had an extractor problem with several thousand rounds down the pipe. I did encounter an issue with the slide stop spring, Sig sent me replacements N/C and they installed quickly. I have not had an issue since. I also had TGL sights on one and it was highly inaccurate, Sig replaced the sights with Novaks and all is good. The only drawback with the Legion is the mags don't fit the regular P238, but that trade-off gives you 7rnds in the Legion.
For the price of this P238 I bought my wife a LCP 2 with 3 extra mags, a holster, and 500 rounds of practice ammo. also a defensive course for her at my local FFL. Don’t waste your money....
The gun has a better trigger, nice grips, bad ass night sights, pinky extension on ther mags, nice aggressive stippling and nice coating to prevent rust. It's a bad ass gun. You guys are just mad cause you're broke, lol.

Ur comparing a 350$ gun to a 850$ gun you realize that. Sucks to suck but honestly coming to a gun review when u clearly dont plan on buying it nor going out on a whim if u purchased ur wife a 350$ handgun u dont own nicer branded firearms and trying to shit on the people who have the money and nicer guns isnt the way to go bud it's a losing battle.
They obviously didn't market this series/gun to some guy looking to buy his wife her first self defense weapon that she's learning how to shoot on. You made a decent budget decision for your wife but get real dude. Not everyone has the same budget or desire when making a firearm purchase.
