@mrbboysew yes yes yes :) ..sorry if i didn't make tutorials in the last 2 months, i was pretty busy with some projects and trainings... now i almost finish my new project, and then i start to make tutorials very often :) stay tuned!
thanks alot dude.! I cant imagine that I got one round of flare within one day.i have been practicing flare from almost one year by watching tutorials but these guyes taught me to kick and land on hips.now I am able to do 98% of round instead of landing on my toes im landing on my knees.your tutorials and your advice are really really helpful.thanks a lot have a nice day..B-)
Really big tip to everyone trying to learn the flare. Make sure that you learn the l sit/ v sit, half press handstand and the planche position! The flare is basically using rotational power to transition from the l sit to the planche, so if you learn both, not only do they increase your strength for breaking, they help you learn flares much, much faster. The l sit and half press handstand help build your core strength, whereas the planche increases your shoulder strength, the two most important areas for flares. Believe me, you don't want to overlook these areas, most people who start practicing flares overlook the strength part of the powermove, which in the long run, only leads to frustration, injuries and lengthy progressions.Be sure to check out my channel, I will start uploading bboying tutorials, sessions and other videos related to breaking! Thanks and good luck to fellow breakers, conquer the moves. Great tutorial btw!
out of all the flare tuts i've seen (and i've seen ALOT) this is the one that has helped me the most and that i would recommend this to anyone who wants to learn to flare. You are awesome bro nice job!
hey! at the beginning, when u are learning the flare, u can swing/kick right leg then left, but when u get confidence is better to swing them together. the right kick could be as you like :)
always welcome bro :) yeas! when u will learn some good flare and many rounds, u can focus on do it always high, both on the front and on the back, but when u are still learning it, is much better to focus on do it low on the front and being high on the back
The back being high and the front being low is new to me! This will help me alot to get my second flare , which I need for many things , thanks again! ;)
thx for the tutorial this was the most helpful one i have ever watched. i like the way you explain everything specifically so detailed in a way that helps ppl
the first time i started learning flare , i learn it using this technique , the only problem i had n i still have is the last part on flare , which is .. i dont feel my right leg is high enough so i can finish the flare n get high on back .. i'm gonna use follow your advice by trying to kick my leg enough ( this small exercice ) and i'll film my flare n send it to you , thank you so much btw ,
hey! thank you! no this is not bullshit.. I started to practice flare when I already learnt swipes, v-kick, many footworks, some differents freezes, 1 round windmill on both sides and other stuff, and I think this helped me a lot to learn flare faster... I think if u start to practice flares with no basics it takes a while, but if u already have good basics u cal learn it very very fast :)
wow, this is the best flare tutorial I've seen so far :) really like how you not only mention which mistakes might occur but also how to solve them. now I'm even more motivated to learn them :) thanks!
Hey! :) I think the best order is this: windmill, airswipes, shoulderspin, flare & munchmills :) but before to start with those moves make sure to master the basic freezes and tricks combos, like powerfreezes, elbowfreeze, shoulderfreeze, side freeze and more! the more freezes and combos u will learn, the more easier will be learn powermoves :)
Yes try this exercise a lot! :) if your back collapse maybe is because u dont kick enough or maybe u dont swing your pelvis enough, just try to analize your flare and focus on correct your mistakes :)
@peckdogg can you do 1990? if you can try flare to 1990 first...when you will learn this flare to handstand will be easier... if u can't 1990 train some transitions from flare like flare to airflare, flare to elbowtrack, flare to elbowspin... the tecnique is the same...
I think its normal bro! its also normal to feel pressure on both hands.. to get high on the back the best tip is to start as low as possible and then kick your legs as high as you can, push your hips up and your hands down :)
Thanks man, helped a lot :) I feel more progress after practicing and using tips you mentioned. Btw, 1st time heard Games 2 Breaks from M@R :D Cool mini mix!
Hey! thank you! yes maybe! but in future because right now I'm really busy with other videos and projects, and wanna focus on powermoves tutorials before :) after that footworks
@bboyhalog kick high with ur right leg and push with left arm at the same time, but don't wait too long when u are on your left arm, u have to lean ur right arm fast, like a normal flare...because many people wait too much on their left arm
I keep crashing when I do my flares, i'm gonna try out your tips next time i'm in the studio. I think part of it is my hand placement, and I swing my right leg too high like you showed as a common mistake..Thanks!
I think u just need to practice and u will get more control with the time :) maybe if you practice some freezes on your left arm it could help to improve your left arm control!
Kaio, is there any exercise for thrusting the hips to go on the front position for continuing the 2nd flare because I can reach in the front position for continuing the 2nd flare. My legs are working enough but my hips are not working. Please give me advise for thrusting my hips.
To get a wider opening in the flare, just practice practice? And also, would planches be useful in getting high in the back from that extra shoulder strength?
OMG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's Time Scar from Chrono Cross !!!!!! You totally blow my mind with that song !!!!! Thanks for the tutorial, it is really good, and the music is great !!! :E
Well, during the 2nd half of a flare, people tend to bend the leg going under. You can still flare that way. It's really hard in my opinion to keep that leg straight when it's going under. Even if it's bent, a flare can still look good. Hope that helps.
i have a question and when i swing my right leg in, and kick up my left leg, i seem to have some difficulties to land my left hand on the floor, my palm/lower palm muscle just bangs on floor and makes me lose my momentum, how do i fix this problem
i have really good flares but appears that i am very high in the front and slightly lower in the back but i am trianing to flare to handstand and its really hard, is it neccesary to be low in front?
if u fall with your left arm it could be for 2 main reasons: -u start too high and so u cant control your flares -u bend your arm focus on start low and keep your arms always straight :)
thanks bro just one thing , when I flare I do one of the first common mistakes I get my leg around my feet are in front of me but then I fall on my 2 hand hard and cant keep it going. you know why I cant get the first one down???
lol hey man you're incredible with the moves really smooth. one question. I would begin by kicking my right foot around and kick my left foot in the air, but I always fall down on my back before. is it b/c I am not using my hip? if then how do you use the hip? thanks man
@KamiDrown if u kick wit much power your flare will be faster, if u kick slower your flare will be not fast but more controlled... u should do it how you like more
I can V-legged planche pushup sets of 2 and I can press but I suck at holding my hands in a flare position while trying to press any tips to make that easier I have flares now but I need to go up
@kcaio0o hey dude(i go counterclockwise) i think i was able to do 2 flares today but my left hit the ground but it didn't hit that hard....is that still considered 2 flares?
I've been trying to learn flare and I got up to about two, but I saw how high you have yours in the back and restarted. Now I practice doing the flare and stopping in the back focusing on making it high like handstand height. Do you recommend this or should I just try learning how to do more flares first?
hey! if u have good flips u already have a good control of your body so flare will be easier for u... maybe is just about more practice.. but if u upload a video too is better so i can see your mistake and tell u tips..
yep.:-). I had watched in some of your videos that you are doing airchair hops and they where amazing.i can to do airchair pike but I dont know how can hold it for longtime or how can I get airchair hops.i have been practicing by taking a support from almost 7month to build stamina and strength.does airchair requires load load of strength, stamina and balance.i will be very thankful if can help me out.
hey man I used to be training flares good and a lot but then they started hurting my back bad =(, I think its because of that left right motion of my flare, similar to yours, mine doesn't go smooth, it goes side to side and that hurts my lower back/hip, how can I get back into training flares?
@kcaio0o gotta question tho: You said that I should keep myself low when I'm at front. Should I try to use as much power as possible when initiatiing though?
I get like half a flare, but it's a slight issue to do these when you're really sore from lifting weights. So a tip to fellow break dancers, if you're sore, and you want to dance, don't be scare of still doing it, it just won't look as good, but when you do it again and you're not sore, it looks about twice as good as last time.
If you need more help to learn the Flare, check out the guide I made about it: ko-fi.com/s/bc91caae00
@mrbboysew yes yes yes :) ..sorry if i didn't make tutorials in the last 2 months, i was pretty busy with some projects and trainings... now i almost finish my new project, and then i start to make tutorials very often :) stay tuned!

Hey!
what you mean by "bigger", like higher? or wider?
you have to focus on your hips movement and kick your legs as close as u can to your face :)
nice flares dude and thats a good tutorial.....of course i didnt need it.

i have problem with my flares i can do 5 at least but it's too low.and i dont know what i should to do plz some advice
@peckdogg
can you do 1990? if you can try flare to 1990 first...when you will learn this flare to handstand will be easier...

@natesterrr yes i know, i correct it... u mean at 3:09?? anyway yes, it's my old camera, now i have a better one
this is a very good tutorial, great hints and help, espeacily the end-part!
I think its normal bro! its also normal to feel pressure on both hands..
to get high on the back the best tip is to start as low as possible and then kick your legs as high as you can, push your hips up and your hands down :)

@AnnoyingBeats sorry for my bad english, but what's the mean of "frigging"? xD
I thank you! Your warm up and stretching exercises have improved me! But how do you do V kick? I can't spring myself back up onto my feet
I keep crashing when I do my flares, i'm gonna try out your tips next time i'm in the studio. I think part of it is my hand placement, and I swing my right leg too high like you showed as a common mistake..Thanks!
"you will be advantage" that grammar is as epic as the flare! :)
I think u just need to practice and u will get more control with the time :)
maybe if you practice some freezes on your left arm it could help to improve your left arm control!
Kaio, is there any exercise for thrusting the hips to go on the front position for continuing the 2nd flare because I can reach in the front position for continuing the 2nd flare. My legs are working enough but my hips are not working. Please give me advise for thrusting my hips.

Can you go in depth to how you start your flare? I've been trying to do multiple, and I recently tried imitating how you start and I found it helps.
Well, during the 2nd half of a flare, people tend to bend the leg going under. You can still flare that way. It's really hard in my opinion to keep that leg straight when it's going under. Even if it's bent, a flare can still look good. Hope that helps.

gonna create a vedio response for flare soon :) ,,,YOUR TEACHING IS THE BEST!
Hey! u dont need strenght exercises for flares, but u could learn some more basics like V-kick, a very good windmill and planches could help too :)
Great videos! In my younger days when I was a b-boy i tried for years to land continuous flares could only ever get one round..keep it up!
I cant even get one and I'm 10
+Closed For Hate 〈3 ~ Have Fun by the time your in highschool if you keep training in becoming a bboy you will be a very skilled bboy trust me.
+Closed For Hate 〈3 ~ Have Fun I know how you feel bro I'm 13 and can only get one tho
I feel some pain in my right shoulder during flare practice. What should I do?
you are welcome :)
It takes few days to learn just 1 or 2 rounds... but to learn a good flare it takes months...
if u fall with your left arm it could be for 2 main reasons:
-u start too high and so u cant control your flares
-u bend your arm
focus on start low and keep your arms always straight :)
you are welcome :)
I'm really glad that my tutorials helped u!! :)
keep it up with practice!!
thanks bro just one thing , when I flare I do one of the first common mistakes I get my leg around my feet are in front of me but then I fall on my 2 hand hard and cant keep it going. you know why I cant get the first one down???
Hey :)
from scratch? what do you mean?
lol hey man you're incredible with the moves really smooth. one question. I would begin by kicking my right foot around and kick my left foot in the air, but I always fall down on my back before. is it b/c I am not using my hip? if then how do you use the hip? thanks man
best flare i ever saw !
This was really helpful, thank you c: also, you're a really good dancer haha

Hey! :)
before to jump make sure to open your legs and keep your right leg as close as u can to your face
keep it up!!
@mossix2 u can learn it in just 1 or 2 months, but if u want a good flare it will take more, maybe 1 year :) ...depends
i think i got this down almost...but i have a problem..my side of my hip always slam the ground when im twisting/doing the windmill. any tips?
