This is the most common advice I give for the flare to people who send me videos of themselves and need help with the flare

@@helios_music3456hope you have them now bro but it’s different for everyone. It took me about half a year to get multiple shitty flares - max of 3 clean and 8-9 really shitty floor-scraping ones hahahaha

Honestly I was just trying to improve my handstand with your tips and went to this video because I didn't know what a flare was. That is badass and I want to try it. I just hope I don't break something lol

Windmill for sure! I think flare is one of the hardest moves to learn, more than airflare. Bless you ;D

thanks pigmie! @Yoysefs56 try going getting down handglide freeze to flare. It makes windmill-flare easier.
That tip really helped me a lot. I was starting to be contra-productive in learning the move but this helped me to get back on the track and continue. I hope I'll learn it soon, sometime I feel like I almost have the second freaking flare. :)) After I learn the trick, I sure must make a thank video response...

Your videos are too good man. You explain things so well and the slow motion really helps out too. Really clean flares there. Could you do a flare-windmill and windmill-flare tutorial. The latter especially I find really difficult. Would be great if you could do one!

this tip seems useful, i can do windmill and swipes but i just can`t get flares :S i hope it helps, can`t wait to try it..thanx btw a friend of mine says flares the easiest powermove...and he cant do proper swipes lol
I do use my butt (ass) for control, but its more a kick from the legs through the hips and holding tight with the arms! ;)

I think you have hella nice clean flares (: you should make a video of yourself trying getting into air flares but doing them by getting into a flare position if u know what i mean. It's hard to explain but it's like a regular airflare but from a flare position :P

Hey pigmie, love your flare tutorials. I was wondering if you could have tutorials that show it in slow motion from the front of the camera , as well as the side view of it, as i feel it helps to see it from a different angle and i can learn from it. Hope u can do more flare tips. Peace

Yon't have to start off in a standing position. If you know how to do the coffee grinder or six step, you could start from there. However, you have to kick hard and high enough and know when to put down your arms

What's your tip onto keeping your arms locked, straight, and up when coming back to the front of the floor from the back? Is it the practice and effort for you to get used to your arms being in use a lot? Also, the timing of your hand placements, when and when not to plant your hand during a flare?

You should show flares at more angles like the left, right side, and maybe the back.
I think you need to be somewhere soft/safe as well.. possibly a field? I'm doing it on a marble floor and it freaking hurts when my hand comes down and I'm scared of all that power throwing me forward

You can, you make exercise a flare for speed the process
I had that EXACT issue, you have to stiffen and kinda lock your second arm or else it will collapse

This is for the commenters the thing all b-boy tutorials forget to mention when doing flare. When your about to kick to help you push that foot off the ground rool your foot like you get in your start position with toes up off the ground but heel still on the ground then while roll from heel to toe to get which ever leg to go up you can see what I'm talking about when he does the first slow motion part
