The one bright side for Sixers fans is this; when they do end up trading embiid (which they will) at least you've got a mature, level-headed leader in Tyreese Maxey who I GUARANTEE will lead the team to more success than Mr. Second Round Exit ever did.
Yeah having maxey and also McCain has them set up for a rebuild it'll be good if they can get something for embiid but will teams trade for him as he's injured?
@DailyNihilism Teams will absolutely trade for him. He's two years removed from an MVP season, and gms will convince themselves that they can make embiid work on their team.

In order to understand Morey's analytics, you need to think of basketball like a game, which it is, but in this thought experiment it's more like a board or video game. In this game, you have a limited amount of 'points' called dollars that you can spend, which is pretty much what dollars become once you are NBA-owner rich, and the limit is the hard-cap and the aprons. So just like a game where you can choose between a few ultra-powerful units, supported by expendable fodder, or a large, deep, yet weak army, with the player crunching the numbers to figure out which is best option, an NBA GM has to figure out what combination of players he can afford has the best chance of winning. This is literally how baseball works these days, WAR has a literal dollar value that GMs put a number on, and if you do it the 'old school' way, you end up like the White Sox. This is what Morey does, but unlike MLB, there is a limit in how much a player can be paid, even if their actual play is worth even more. THAT is why Morey chases superstars, because they are 'undervalued' because they are actually paid LESS than what they are worth. This level of 'analytics' may be so simple a child can understand it, but it still fits his approach of finding undervalued players, and regardless, it's not limited to just superstars. I think people forget just how good those Rockets supporting casts were, the Rockets were regularly turning nobodies and washed players into valuable assets, and that was all due to Morey's system of finding undervalued players with an analytics approach. I'm not going to defend Morey entirely, him ignoring actual human personalities and fit is what is causing the absolute disaster going on in Philly right now. Even back in Houston, it doesn't matter how great analytics say Dwight Howard would have been as a PnR rollman if he just straight up refuses to do it, I just think that people don't understand the logic behind his superstar driven approach.

That's why it's so important for Rooks to get good coaches that will hold them accountable. Just check out Jalen Green. Stephen Silas just pretty much let him do what he did. He scored a lot but was a liability. Ime Udoka benched him and called him out. He's now playing better because if he doesn't, then he'll get benched. Embiid has had coaches like Bret Brown and Doc Rivers just let him do whatever. Butler even said how nothing was said much when they watched a video. Accountability was not upheld for him and Simmons. They were celebrated as unicorns right away.
They really need to think about moving some of these teams cross conferences, it’s been 27 years since the east was really dominant during Jordans time, Since 98, something like 18 of the 25 champions have been from the west
The bit on Morey “hey let’s just put the best big name players together.” Bro Harden and Dwight made the WCF, just ran into Golden State. Harden and Paul won 65 games and pushed a healthy Golden State to 7 games. That shit would have worked any other era. Golden State just had the Rockets number.
I feel like the 76ers have a perfect chance to rebuild/build around a young "big" 3 with Tyrese Maxey, Jared McCain and whoever they can get in this draft if they get a top 6 pick Id say give PG another year or 2, especially as he can be a helpful vet for the team in the rebuild (if it happens), but Embiid has to go in a trade if they want to make this happen
Joel is far from being a team player. Last night against the Grizz I have at least 4 clips of him throwing up his hands on his teammates. Two times where he did not even make an attempt to defend just stood there.
Dalton Knecht is also starting to break out so we’ll see how McCain finishes out. As a Duke fan, it’s awesome to see his successful start. Wish Maxey was out there, it feels like he already has more of the trust of the team than Embiid. It’s time to start building around Maxey now.
Watching the Cavs since Lebron was there, it’s impossible to overstate how having a professional, thriving, low ego but fiercely competitive locker room is. As soon as they saw this stuff with Embiid they should have gotten rid of him. KPJ is overflowing with talent, we were paying him nothing, but the moment he messed with the locker room (after one forgivable event) we got rid of him. That’s not how winners act. They act like Lebron. They act like Kobe. They act like everyone in the Cavs locker room right now, the Warriors or the Celtics for that matter
The Process was dumb from day one. So many PHI fans argued how great it was lmfao... Decade later and the young guys they got during that era of losing were- MCW, Nerlens, Dario, Jahlil, Joel, Markelle, and Ben.... In that same span, plenty of teams won games and still built great rosters by actually making great moves. While PHI fans praised their dumb GM for trying to take a shortcut. So funny in hindsight but every PHI fan that believed in "the process" deserves this outcome.
It’s was dumb if done right look at the thunder Lakers Celtics they tanked and now are championship caliber teams Houston can be one too if they play their cards right
Sixers can't draft to save their life. Gj bud. We realize that. The right picks and they woulda had 5-6 years of domination before the cap even became a factor. It wasnt the concept. It was the execution
Raptors won a chip without any lottery picks on the roster. Jus sayin' Sure, it was lucky for them that Durant went down, but it was still an amazing team without a single lottery pick. They beat a very strong 76ers and Bucks that year to get to the finals. Good roster construction is so much more than just throwing a bunch of lottery picks together.
@@davyunwashington3613 That's fair. Poeltl was also a 9th pick like Demar and part of that trade. It's still pretty impressive what they managed to find deeper in the draft and FA leading up to the finals run, though. Namely Siakam 27th, OG 24th, and FVV undrafted. It was all done with no top 5 picks at least.
I'd say have their main core play couple of games first. After like 30-40 games if they are still hovering around play-in, then some decisions should be made.
Embiid doesn't have the mentality or work ethic to be a champion. This is the most misleading and disappointing type of #1. He has the talent, physicality and athleticism to be a champion so they keep hope only to suffer from continual disappointment. I wish Philly had a franchise player that was worthy of that passionate fanbase.
Some teams need to learn how to cut their losses early. With or without him, you're not winning the NBA championship. Trade him now, while he has value, and rebuild around Maxey and PG. Get one or two impact players for now and picks for the future. He's too injured, too often, to be your franchise player.
Imagine what could've been if sixers were trying to build their team this hard 25 years ago. Allen Iverson would dream of that and would play even without limbs just to bring this city a championship.
I'm not on the Kuminga hype-train. I think he's alright, but I'm really glad we didn't give anything up for a post-prime PG13. The misses on Lauri and PG were blessings in disguise for the Dubs.
Nikola Jokic has a laid back demeanor not reputation. The man is a literal workhorse, when he’s not grinding out an 82 game NBA season he takes care of a stable full of horses. Jokic and Embiid aren’t even on the same planet
Yes Embiid is a big part of the problem, but what do you expect when the first 3 years of his career is the organizational attitude of "Eh, the higher the draft pick, the better"? At this point, I appreciate Embiid reinforcing what I've been saying about the process for the last 10 years.
Embiid wanted to play in Paris so bad because it was his only guaranteed chance at a World Championship.. The odds of him carrying a team to a Finals and then winning it get slimmer and slimmer as he ages and gets worse and injured.
Embiid was never the guy. My city wanted him to be because we wanted another main guy so bad, but Embiid is just not that guy. Truth is, we've been a broken ragtag team since Iverson left.

Didn’t know Tyler Herro had a youtube channel
Dude I love how you put the bar under the ad so we can just skip over it😂
The one bright side for Sixers fans is this; when they do end up trading embiid (which they will) at least you've got a mature, level-headed leader in Tyreese Maxey who I GUARANTEE will lead the team to more success than Mr.
I don't actually watch much basketball anymore, but this dude stands out in the media as the poster child for the problems in the NBA.
Embiid getting like ben Simmons now 😂
I love Maxey calling him out. Build around Tyrese instead.
7:36 SLIGHT MISTAKE: you highlighted Aden Holloway ranked 16th @ U of A, McCain was just 2 spaces up @ 14th, and you said "16th" out loud. No biggie, but though you might want to edit that if its not too late
Belle observation…j’approuve 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🇨🇦
The meeting thing got overblown because Joel and Tyrese were laughing about how serious the media thought it was. The meeting (or conversation) was only 30 seconds according to the players and coaches.
I'm excited to see them pop off now that you have spent the time to make a video about them 😂😂😂😂
In order to understand Morey's analytics, you need to think of basketball like a game, which it is, but in this thought experiment it's more like a board or video game.
02:00 thank Jovan Smileski for his reaction jajaja
That's why it's so important for Rooks to get good coaches that will hold them accountable. Just check out Jalen Green. Stephen Silas just pretty much let him do what he did. He scored a lot but was a liability. Ime Udoka benched him and called him out. He's now playing better because if he doesn't, then he'll get benched.
Embiid has had coaches like Bret Brown and Doc Rivers just let him do whatever. Butler even said how nothing was said much when they watched a video. Accountability was not upheld for him and Simmons. They were celebrated as unicorns right away.
i was here before title of the video changed ‼️‼️
If the 76ers do end up tanking for picks, that's probably the most expensive lottery tickets I have ever seen.
Embiid has been the main problem and not ben simmons, ben was a scapegoat for embiids failures
i got no respect for embiid
He's like the MVP version of Ben Simmons hehehehe
They really need to think about moving some of these teams cross conferences, it’s been 27 years since the east was really dominant during Jordans time, Since 98, something like 18 of the 25 champions have been from the west
The bit on Morey “hey let’s just put the best big name players together.”
Bro Harden and Dwight made the WCF, just ran into Golden State.
Harden and Paul won 65 games and pushed a healthy Golden State to 7 games. That shit would have worked any other era. Golden State just had the Rockets number.
I feel like the 76ers have a perfect chance to rebuild/build around a young "big" 3 with Tyrese Maxey, Jared McCain and whoever they can get in this draft if they get a top 6 pick
Id say give PG another year or 2, especially as he can be a helpful vet for the team in the rebuild (if it happens), but Embiid has to go in a trade if they want to make this happen
Capture the flag.
Embiid thinks he’s way more valuable than he truly is.
Joel is far from being a team player. Last night against the Grizz I have at least 4 clips of him throwing up his hands on his teammates. Two times where he did not even make an attempt to defend just stood there.
Embiid gave me 52 fantasy points today, not complaining at all 😂
I love your videos
6:46 "I wouldn't know Darrel Morrey if he walked in this room right now." Iykyk
Dalton Knecht is also starting to break out so we’ll see how McCain finishes out. As a Duke fan, it’s awesome to see his successful start. Wish Maxey was out there, it feels like he already has more of the trust of the team than Embiid. It’s time to start building around Maxey now.
Hey Nick.... Good luck with those guys... hahahahahah
Paul George switched from a Injury prone co-star to a Injury prone co-star. 😂😂😂
Embid been In the league 11 years already is crazy
Don't forget about Donavan Clingan. He's a rookie that's BALLIN!
Casey rocking the coffee zyns on the table in the back 😍
The owner like the hell we are all that money we spent 😂
Jus sayin'
Sure, it was lucky for them that Durant went down, but it was still an amazing team without a single lottery pick. They beat a very strong 76ers and Bucks that year to get to the finals. Good roster construction is so much more than just throwing a bunch of lottery picks together.
@@lyleugleman3773 demar was still a lottery pick and without him being in that trade they wouldn’t even have a championship
That reporter was Right and Embiid wasn't suspende Enough.
I'd say have their main core play couple of games first. After like 30-40 games if they are still hovering around play-in, then some decisions should be made.
Ben Simmons: I think I treated you too harshly.
Just for fun, I would love to see Giannis and Embiid switch team for a year
Jimmy Butler warned us all 💯
Some teams need to learn how to cut their losses early. With or without him, you're not winning the NBA championship.
Trade him now, while he has value, and rebuild around Maxey and PG. Get one or two impact players for now and picks for the future.
He's too injured, too often, to be your franchise player.
Joel Embiid is the next old "Kawhi Leonard", "Load Management Lover" 💔
The 76ers won't stand for it anymore. 🤬😡😠
They won't stand for It but they got paul George? Hmmmm
Except Embiid is short Two DPOY, Two Finals MVPs, Two Rings😂 Dont ever put Embums name in the same line as Kawhi again
We need a Dalton Knecht video if he keeps this up.
Crazy how the best rookies in this draft class is the 16 and 17 pick
His career should be over. Period.
Lebron has that same traits as Embiid. Lebron is just pairs himself with those with a killer instinct: Wade, Kyrie, and Davis
For ROY, keep your radar up on Spurs' Stephon Castle.
Imagine spending 100s of millions of dollars for a guy who’s aging, and just tank, the 76ers are the WORST franchise right now
Embiid definitely should not have played in the olympics
I say again.. I really hate the Player Empowerment Era (aka, Supermax Era)
dude just dropped 35
with 14 FT hahahaha, GTFO man with his 35. Flopper and free throw merchant
Maxey should ask to go Spurs imo. Pop would love him. Wemby too.
Embiid was never the guy. My city wanted him to be because we wanted another main guy so bad, but Embiid is just not that guy. Truth is, we've been a broken ragtag team since Iverson left.
