A couple bits of set dressing you can add: 1. You 9th hole has a water gap, but no way for pedestrians to actually cross that gap 2. Similarly, you put those piers and gazebos in in the central island, but it is unclear how people would actually get there. Even if the answer is "they would take boats to the pier", where do the boats start? 3. You may want to connect up some of the interior paths to help people leave if they don't want to do all the holes, such as connecting your two cable car entrance/exits so people can skip going up the mountain easily.

If I may suggest, I live on a golf course. One thing they do is make sure that the golf cart path does not go on a road. They can be bridged or tunnelled, but not across. As for a name for this area, I'd call it the Tea Time Golf and Resort Spa! What about adding some jet ski rentals and boat rentals for evenings after the links?
Cable Cars... YAY!!! Golf courses I've seen have WC start of every 3rd hole and refreshments after hole 9 (no WC at refreshments so folks don't hang out there all day- they can use the one at the start of the 9th or go on to the 12th hole) and then a big bar (19th Hole) back at the cart return area. At your hole 9- I think- (the tiny one separated by water) the cart path needs to go around that bit of water so they aren't driving through the trees to get to the other side. May want a cart path between the lower cable towers so folks can bypass the hills if they are too old or just don't want to go up. An observing deck off of the first upper cable car tower on the hill would be cool for folks who just want to see the view- you could sell them refreshments up there as well. A boat service from the main club area to that picnic island and then to the cable car would be handy. Sea Doo or boat rental near clubhouse would be killer! Cool beans, I like this one!

1: Go ahead and keep restrooms between the greens, but that middle island in the golf course is where all the restaurants and other attractions need to be. 2: The entrance to the golf club house is a one-way road. The road connecting the club house to the street needs to also be a one-way road. 3: At that intersection you were doing at the end, you don't need that straight-on lane. Only left and right turn lanes. Get rid of the straight-on lane.

Love the tee idea. Many tees needed to play golf here. Surely many teas as well. What about a free tea for every broken tee on the higher level of golfing, i.e. mountain? :-)
Since you mentioned Club house for the riches, what about adding million dollar homes in this area. Then align the holes to their backyards. You may need to readjust each hole to fit with each house, but it would look really nice. You can even add tunnels under the cross-roads for the golf carts. Maybe even add a Marine as well to get to that island! Boating and Golfing for the Rich and famous!
Looks really good Biffa! My all star favorite Cities: Skylines TH-camr. Any tips on fixing my trains? Keep Cargo and passengers separated? Watched your vid but it didnt work for me tho. My industry uses alot of trains, everywhere its stuck.... need help!
The golf course needs some sort of mini ferry service (is there a mod for that?), that way if your only playing 9 holes you can ferry back to the club house and also people can access the center island
You did a great job with the golf course. You should had a heliport to bring more people and some commercials with a resort hotel too. It will look nice !
Love this so much! Great use of the map landscape. Going with a french vibe of ‘Club de ParTea’ for the suggested name. Wish there were some small boats to go around the course on!
In regards to the the new mod you showed for pavement markings, the best use for them is for dual or triple rights or lefts. Cars on the far right lane will be "guided" to the far right lane instead of cutting across the other lanes.
24:14 that right turn lane directs you to a dead end!~ 23:46 man, i missed that as well. i'm so used to "right"-hand drive that i forget that your city drives on the wrong hand. could've just ticked that box at the beginning of the game. would save you tons of time copying the Magic Swindon Roundabout as well.
I’m enjoying the gameplays . It’s completely different. It’s always good to just take a minute and just look at the masterpiece you created and enjoy it’s beauty... other city building channels seems like their in some sort of race .
Cart paths run along the length of the hole, not stopping at the tee box and then picking up again at the green. Also, need a golf cart depot at the top of the hill if they are taking the cable car up. Find some fencing you can make really tall and put it between the driving range and the highway.
It would be nice to fill in some of the blank spaces in the course. On the mountain and at the end of the course, it would be nice to add some concessions like restaurants or cafes. You can fill in some of the spaces like the ones on the large island with some holes with more trails and picnic benches (and maybe even some bleacher seating for large events). Finally, at the large empty spot near the beginning of the course, it would be good to have additional concessions, bleacher seating, and/or a parking lot (but don't make the parking lot too big; in my opinion, it's never a good idea to have too large of a parking lot).
Biffa! Love your videos on Cities Skylines!! Keep it up! If you want to make your golf course more realistic, 18 hole golf courses are almost always built with a "front 9 holes" and a "back 9 holes". Usually the front 9 go away from the clubhouse 4-5 holes, and back towards it the last 4-5, and same pattern for the back 9. This is because golf courses are long already and it's a lot of walking, and people like tea (beer/snacks) at the halfway point. If you're not going to have the 9th hole close to the clubhouse, you gotta put facilities between the 9th and 10th hole. Bathrooms every few holes. And definitely at least one bathroom up on the mountain, which I'm pretty sure you neglected! lol Also that short hole that goes across the water needs a path/bridge to get across!
1:05 I think TM:PE overrules the "Bus Only" type of streets. You have to manually restrict the type of vehicles which are allowed to use them. Worked then fine in my cities, but you should also allow Garbage and SOS on these roads
Keeps getting better and better. If you'd like you could stretch it out around the left side of the mountain to make a full shoe horn and down again with the cable. Missing some parking there ! Still that straight one lane on that offramp ... brrr
Hi Biffa, I think the design of the golf course is beautiful! I'm not an expert on golf (I haven't played since I was a kid), but I know that a lot of the time, people who aren't professionals might do the "front nine" or the "back nine" (the first nine holes and last nine holes of an 18-hole course, respectively) to play some casual golf/to avoid doing an entire 18-hole gauntlet. That being said, the holes are not spaced in a way that is conducive to that format. I personally don't care about ultra realism in Cities Skylines, but I just wanted to bring mention to it if that's something you care about.
Biffa, you should remember people doesnt only go to the golfclub to golf. They want to spend time in the parks, play tennis. Maybe even bring their kids. And make short-cuts to other holes, let people decide how they want to play and to take stops and detours. You should make it more like a park, and make sure that there are golfcarts up on the mountain as well :)
Southern Tea Hills - To play off the real course southern hills. You have southern tea which is super sweet tea served cold used in an Arnold Palmer (Tea and lemonade). Or just add any TPC as TeaPC to your course name.
I think you forgot to connect the little island in the end with the rest of the resort. I would also add a subway, a small private airport and defenitly a heli port! If there is a marina to be found, that might fit in as well nearby? Maybe a spa nearby on the other side of the mountain near the edge or perhaps an exclusive lving area up there? Oh, and TOO much trees between the holes! I think there are also road connections to every hole, unless my eyes decieved me. Water connection would also be needed I think and maybe another golf cart park up on the mountain?
Biffa in a luxury golf resort like the one you built yourself there are often villa suites and other amenities around the club house. Considering the cliff views, it’d also be a good time to drop in a few luxury houses up there. I’d really like to see this area develop so please take more time on it. Whatever you do it’ll be fun to watch.
Biffa: Great to see trams at the start making full use of the station & like your suggested location for the future zoo, close to a main road on the edge of the town, with fast road & rail links to the centre of Teaville.
Generally with golf course design you want to think of the people walking. For instance, you setup the driving range so that people would have to walk the max distance to the far side of the driving range then hit their balls TOWARDS the expensive clubhouse. That should be the other way around so that there is a shorter walking distance for the golfer. In terms of laying out Holes 1, 2, 3, etc the tee (start) should be close to the start of the road from the clubhouse onto the grounds so the golfer does not walk across from the hole (end) to the tee. Expanding on that, each hole should connect the hole (end) with the next tee (start). Finally, the snack shack and restrooms should be at the "back 9." Many golfers only play 9 holes and then go back to the clubhouse, so the food and restroom should be at the end of Hole 9 with a direct road back to the clubhouse. Allowing other golfers to continue onto Holes 10-18 with their own road coming back to the clubhouse. With the new mod for lane markings I think you connected your Left Hand Turn in the British fashion but your city is American, so you connected the Left Hand Turn into oncoming traffic.
I always enjoy watching your videos Biffa. My course name suggestion: St Hugo's Teas (like the famed St Andrews Links). I also liked the intersection trolling at the end :) They use the markings in California a lot on large intersections with multiple turn lanes in the same direction so people are not changing lanes in the intersection and cutting each other off.
It's very nice. But, you have to fix that one hole in the middle with the water trap. If you have a fence around the path, there needs to be a path around the water so they can get there. I'd also add paths that skip holes altogether so people can reach the far end of the course without going thru a green. That said. It's a lovely job and a real course like it would be a prised one indeed.
The Ninth Hole often has a cafe or (for muni courses) a hot dog cart/truck. I'd call it Hole 9 3/4 (Harry Potter ref) or maybe the Tenth Tea. big resorts like the Greenbrier often have more than one course. So a 9-hole executive course in addition to the 18-hole Championship course would not be out of order. Or even 2x18s. The community in which I live has 3x 9-hole courses and you can choose which two to make up your 18. With this layout, all 9th holes end at the clubhouse.
16:08 This hole which is divided into two pieces is later also divided by water. There is no way to actually finish the course unless u go swimming. :-P
Great video! But there's a couple things about the golf course. Most high end golf courses have concrete cart paths going all the way up the side of the hole. If your golf course can afford a gondola system I'm sure they can afford concrete cartpaths! My suggestion for the name would be Mountea golf course.
I've bought the game and all the mods but I'm still terrified of it ha ha - T-Eagle Heights? I can't get the hang of how you get roads to bend without them going all funny lol
tea-off for the name of the course, also thats a reciepe for disater having a driving range that close to the motorway
Yeah, come on! The perfect name is Something like "The Tea-off golf resort"
I was going to say something similar like 'Tea-Time Golf Club'
Or maybe Tea up :D
Teeville. ;)
My thoughts exactly. If you've ever been to a driving range. They have high nets to catch the coming ball. And then you stick em' next to roadways.
Flippin heck!
Edit:
Also... Add a parking area in the park. Poor chaps.
A couple bits of set dressing you can add:
1. You 9th hole has a water gap, but no way for pedestrians to actually cross that gap
2. Similarly, you put those piers and gazebos in in the central island, but it is unclear how people would actually get there. Even if the answer is "they would take boats to the pier", where do the boats start?

I was looking to see if someone else went with green tea.
Nobody:
Biffa: Directs a lane of cars into oncoming traffic
Yes, that painting at the end was a bit "British" I assume. :-)
Also a lane for coming off and back on to the highway straight away...
That second cable car stop on top of the mountain is just begging for a cafe or restaurant asset
As well as a rest room and some benches at the side. The view could be spectacular. Worth the price of membership and the long walk from the bus stop.
with that view people would pay to get in there only to have dinner in top of the mountain.
The junction marking tool is great, your lanes not so great. You've got them trying to turn into oncoming traffic in the first left turn lane you put in :-)
And the juction off a highway with option to still go straight back onto the hight which still doesnt make sense in my head

My industry uses alot of trains, everywhere its stuck.... need help!
Would love to see an updated train fix video!
You can sign yourself up for traffic fixing and the you can explain what the problem is
I think this is one of the best instalments in the series, fantastic work!
The golf course needs some sort of mini ferry service (is there a mod for that?), that way if your only playing 9 holes you can ferry back to the club house and also people can access the center island
I was thinking nine hole loop exits to the island, and then back to the clubhouse.
I'm not a golf fan, but that looks really nice. The use of the cable cars was ingenious!
This went from American country club to British links in a hurry! A little bit TPC Sawgrass, a little bit St. Andrews. Love it!
I'm not clever, but maybe a play on Arnold Palmer, who was a golfer and has a drink named for him - equal parts ice tea and lemonade
I was going to say the Arnold Palmer Classic
24:14 that right turn lane directs you to a dead end!~
23:46 man, i missed that as well. i'm so used to "right"-hand drive that i forget that your city drives on the wrong hand. could've just ticked that box at the beginning of the game. would save you tons of time copying the Magic Swindon Roundabout as well.
I’m enjoying the gameplays . It’s completely different. It’s always good to just take a minute and just look at the masterpiece you created and enjoy it’s beauty... other city building channels seems like their in some sort of race .
The Steep Retreat
because its on a mountain, but also in water, just like you steep your tea
Love this idea!
Put a waterfall in the golf course and add a viewing platform up on top of the hill
Biffa - for the new mod, your very first line was drawn wrongly! MANY PEOPLE WILL DIE!!
For your reference: 23:44
XD
Your builds are always so pretty and detailed! My cities must be so depressing to live in xD
May be another idea to have a ferry set up to carry the golfers back to the resort. Cool stuff so far. Looking forward to the next episode.
my dream came true, Biffa used the cable cars!
Cart paths run along the length of the hole, not stopping at the tee box and then picking up again at the green. Also, need a golf cart depot at the top of the hill if they are taking the cable car up. Find some fencing you can make really tall and put it between the driving range and the highway.
Great work Biffa, as an avid golfer you did a great job! I would pay good money to play that course!
This mod looks amazing!! I will test in my city but from what Biffa showed, it looks perfect to put more details on the junctions!
And definitely at least one bathroom up on the mountain, which I'm pretty sure you neglected! lol
Also that short hole that goes across the water needs a path/bridge to get across!
1:05 I think TM:PE overrules the "Bus Only" type of streets. You have to manually restrict the type of vehicles which are allowed to use them. Worked then fine in my cities, but you should also allow Garbage and SOS on these roads
Yup that's what I do. The bus route doesn't automatically ban cars.
Awesome build!! Expert builder. Thanks for the inspo!!
"Welcome to the Earl Green Golf Resort, where the tea is complimentary."
Should be called "FiTEAness Golf Course". Serious test of cardio getting round that in a day! Looks great though :)
Oh all the golf balls raining down on the highway from the driving range will be glorious :D.
The hole where you hit over the water looked as if their was no path over. Also, could you place some of the carts throughout the course.
Southern Tea Hills - To play off the real course southern hills. You have southern tea which is super sweet tea served cold used in an Arnold Palmer (Tea and lemonade). Or just add any TPC as TeaPC to your course name.
Don't mind all the golf balls that might end up in the highway folks! It's just a boost of concentration for the drivers
That little island with piers on it would be the perfect place for BLIMPS :D
suggestion for golf course park: "T in The Park"? :D "T" sounds similar to Tee (this little thing to stand a ball) and of course Tea
Very nice video, Biffa! Very much enjoy watching it.
How about „Hugo There“ -> „Hugolf Heights Golf Course“?
Tea Greens Country Club. Also a waterfall between the mountain holes would look great!
Whoa! Didn't even know golf courses were available, but not surprising and an instant download. Golf Course name idea "Green Tea Golf Club".
