    The way the cords were broken and the slice going down the side wall that tire is nothing but a ticking time bomb. The only thing it's good for now is a tire swing.

      Yes Tire is not safe for our roads, will get killed, these guys drive on the average 30 MPH it is OK, they wont have a deadly blow out

      Yea above a certain speed, sure. But there doing this only because they have no other choice. Sure they could grab a brand new tire then restart there month of income. Also I’d imagine there using a tube

    • @monkeyjim9398
      @monkeyjim9398 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope your wrong in actual fact they over engineered the job. Note that NOT 1 single Radial steel cord was indeed broken, these wires are the strength the rest is all faff and rubber, Not anything structural but just to retain air. The edge of the Stabilizing top plies(tread Region) only had edge damage and so stability still ok. Its also a tubed tyre so like i say they over engineered and this tyre will run forever its tread life. How do i know? Well being a certified Tyre Technician for 40 years in Manufacture Repair and retreading i know how its all done.. From the wire brushing internal of the steel radial plies, they could of simply done say 4 thick cushion gum sheets ensuring no air traps and then vulcanise in the mould without all the additional messing..

    It's either driving with this incorrectly repaired tire that will explode at some point, or not driving at all.
    People in those countries don't have a choice. It's not like they can go to an actual tire repair facility or buy a new one. That's the repair shop.
    If they want a new tire, they can wait and see what is on the next container, if any. It's not like they can order it or something..

      Du hörst dich wie TÜV an.. Natürlich werden die Reifen nie wieder wie vor, aber trotzdem würden sie halten.. Er hat es wirklich gut gemacht (für was er zur Verfügung hat)..
      Obwohl dass ich wirklich gehofft habe, dass er die Metall Draht reparieren würde ( schweißen vielleicht? Erneut weben?? Keine Ahnung ob sowas funktionieren würde oder gar möglich ist), ich glaube aber er hat das zweit Beste gemacht, indem er die Metall Drähte von den Flicken in die gleiche richtung gelegt hat.. Strukturell kann das gut funktionieren und sie können die gleiche Last bestehen.. So werden Kholenfaser Strukturen repariert (Fahrradrahmen z.B.) und du kannst dein MTB voll belasten wie vor umd die Werkstatt würde es garantieren sogar TÜV würde kein Problem damit haben.

      Das Metallgewebe kann man nicht reparieren. Das wurde wahrscheinlich nur genäht, damit er anschließend den Gummi aufbringen kann. Das schwächt aber im Nachhinein den Reifen an dieser Stelle. Abgesehen davon ist der Schaden am Reifen zu groß. Das ist einfach nur Profitgier.

    all the "oh my gerd its not safe" well... up until recently these sorts of repairs where common here in the states, in fact they still happen, just not out where you can see them, partly because lawyers got involved, and partly because americans are way to picky about what something should look like. That said, I have several recap tires on trucks I use regularly, that show clear signs of sidewall repairs, and booting, you just need to know what you are looking for. not to mention everyone of my skidder tires has large repairs on them.

    • @johnfox3845

      Although I've seen some very suspect tire repairs over the years, there was never anything even close to this level of hackery. If someone tried to use this on public roads in the US, both the repair company and the trucking company wouldn't be in business long.
