“In time” was literally one of my favorite movies growing up, and it also terrified me. I used to have nightmares about waking up and having my time start. Definitely gonna come back and watch after I do my homework
this story reminds me of a tiktok I saw where someone described how it feels like to have $86,400 in your bank account everyday that you can spend all of it if you want because at the start of a new day, the amount of money resets to $86,400. You cannot save it up to become a millionaire but if you keep it then you basically loose all of it at the end of the day. So might as well use all of it. That is where they said there is 86,400 seconds in a human's daily life. Those seconds cannot be saved up because they reset and thus why not spend every second doing something, cause you would want to spend that money no? it's crazy
I am telling you . Imagine loosing my father and I couldn’t go to my country because the ticket is expensive and I couldn’t afford it? 😭😭😭😭😭 it makes me think why
In the movie, if you die before your time runs out then that time is expired and no-one can use it. So 'he drank himself to death with 9 years on his clock' means he died of too much alcohol and the 9 years became worthless
I haven't watched the movie in years but I'm pretty sure he (the friend) was an alcoholic, the first thing he did after he got the decade was go to the bar

Definitely needed this fun creative imaginative story, especially while living in this new dystopian economy. My sister actually went to school with Amanda Seyfried, and their school was in a really scary impoverished ghetto of Allentown PA. So it's very cool & poetic to see Amanda is the real life version of these heroes rising up from her previous time zone to a whole new district.
