The effort Stephanie puts just to match her outfit to her backdrop always gets me
I think that the director was trying to show the danger of normalizing cults and cult behavior like LA and Cali is. Seen by the friends constantly saying that it’s normal LA culture to have people in a cult.
Have you seen “Knives out” it’s a great murder mystery movie that is less on the gruesome side and I highly recommend it, there’s some great plot twists. Have a great day or night biss 💕

It was really interesting how the movie makes you wonder if Will is just paranoid about everything because of his ptsd and trauma and how everyone else are so quick to excuse away the weird stuff because this is a friend they know and you never expect bad things to happen in real life. It reminds me of that saying "Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not after you"

I feel like this movie is about the pervasive desire to control life and its outcomes. Pruitt lost control and killed his wife - the guilt looming over him that all it took was a split-second irrational decision to ruin your life. Will and Eden lost their child in a baseball accident, something neither of them could probably have prevented, but this idea of paradise where that accident didn't have control over Edens life gave her hope (which her hope was probably to see their son). The one woman with cancer - a terminal illness that induces one of the most overwhelming feelings of lack of control. Death and loss are the greatest uncertainties of life, you never know if today could be your last day - but all of those people who had been afflicted by the uncertainty of death were taking back the control by choosing their time to die and taking those they loved with them so they wouldn't experience loss in the afterlife either. When Eden was talking about how she just chose not to be depressed, I think it was her way of convincing herself that she had control and power over things that previously had control over her.
This may be a reach but it's interesting that the people who were apart of this group were Hollywood elites, executives, business people - all in careers that are power and money-oriented. Especially the setting of LA/the Hollywood hills where rich people who typically desire power/more money reside so it could also be a commentary on that culture as well. That once you have so much and the desire to control and have power becomes so overwhelming the only thing left to do is sort of play God in a way by choosing other people's time to die.

My cousin was at a softball game, some sort of incident happened between her and another player. The other girl pitched a softball that was estimated to be going 90 mph directly towards her temple on her head. My mom yelled my cousins name and thankfully she caught the ball right in time. The investigators said that if she hadn't caught the ball she would have died.

I discovered her youtube channel after self quarantining and she truly has helped me a lot. Her energy is so positive and it really made me feel like i had a friend around me during that dark period. Hope she knows how much loved she is by her community

this is the first baking a mystery ive watched that ive actually already watched the movie for, and stephanie's storytelling is so incredible because i didnt rly enjoy the movie and was not very interested the entire length of it, but this video was so fun to listen to and engaging

I highly recommend As above so below, it’s about the Paris catacombs and it has an amazing plot twist. the filmography and the plot is just amazing! It’s so underrated. It is a horror though

I really unexpectedly enjoyed this movie. The lead actor sells the whole thing for me, he does an amazing job. The tension and disquiet felt throughout by the lead has you on edge and builds to the eruption of violence, then the horrible realisation that it’s not just them, it isn’t all over. It’s really well done.
Stephanie, please check out a book called Out by Natsuo Kirino I think you'd love it!! It's about a woman who kills her husband in rage (he was abusive) and not knowing what to do asks her friend. Her friend decides to help her by getting rid of the evidence (dismembering the body in her bathroom) and it just goes from 0 to 100 so quick. That's pretty much the synopsis like that's all in the beginning of the book. It's so well written I love it!
