What I really love about this is that it's relatively simple. A weapon swap, an arm swap, some shoulders and new head, season with dead animal bits. The paint really made it come alive especially the newsh. I really liked the effect that gave with a lot more transitions and gradients blending than what washes would have done.
I was beyond delighted that you chose to keep the magazine on the pistol to make it a magazine-fed flintlock 😂 but for real I love the conversion! Perfectly chaotic
Afternoon captain, once again I do like the model overall. The arm was a nice touch. The idea of a naval theme, space Marine, touched by the warp. Very nice. Keep up the good work. Cheers Phil
I really wish I could just bring some Marines up to where you are and have a half day with you to just workshop and improve my work. Your work is amazing!
I wish I could do the same! With the amount of ideas bouncing around my head, plus the sheer number of Bits from his collection? Instant fun. I would love to have just a few hours to trade ideas for future projects.
On my Jumppack Intercessors ive started taking the Mortis Aquila off the chestplate and its HARD lmao I recently got a scalpel and oh boy its fun to use
@PeteTheWargamer I have a question, have you seen the “GALEN AND DORALIA VEN DENST“? I was thinking if you took doralia and took away the crossbow, put in a rifle from 40k, it would make an awesome commissar. Could you maybe do this?
This could be a surprisingly economical kitbash army! Kits: Legionaries, Assault Intercessors, Cultist Mob, Namarti Thralls, Possessed. Give your Namarti Thralls some spare holstered pistols for stylish aquatic cultists, and the spare parts from the Thralls box become nautical bits for the rest of your army. Possessed are possessed, not much to say there. Mix & match shoulderpads and power packs from Intercessors and Legionaries. Mark the unit leaders with a Possessed tentacle and/or Namarti bits, as seen in the video here. You end up with ~500pts of infantry units, customised a little to be Black Hand, without "wasting" any bodies from any of the kits.
This is amazing! Bravo Pete! I love pirates and chaos space marines. But I also love dragons so my chaos space marines are Salamaders corrupted by the Alpha Legion so I got some chaos dragons marines. I only wish I had more kits to make more interesting kitbashes when I was building them (it was too expensive to buy too many different kits)
I'm curious if the Black Hand chapter have a habit of jumping people from behind doors in a hexagonal maze and yelling "bleeeeeh" before smearing black greasepaint on them.
Im gonna guess they sent you huron blackheart the remastered miniature early? Other than that, I really liked your huron mini conversion! You should do more pirate stuff to promote your dead animal bits!
I am literally doing the same thing, only they aren't chaos, they're loyalist, when the situation calls for it, it's complicated. I call them the "Black Sails."
Hello, I have been following your channel for a short time and I love your Chaotic conversions. Could you transform a “cursing eye of tzinnch” into a 40k version?
Hey, minor question. Is there an angled shot of the model? It's kinda hard to see the effect of the still water on the base and I was wondering what it looked like.
Taking a quick look at the Lexicanum(aka the 40k wiki) it looks like the Sea Wolves are one of the "great companies" that the space wolves have. Looks like they've popped up in the 5th ed Codex: Space Wolves and the 8th ed Codex: Space Wolves and Codex: Thousand Sons
If you put a Space Marine in the water does that turn them back into a regular Marine... or does it make them the Adeptus Aquatus (with Steve Zissou)? >_> (Seriously I love this! Just the retro 'Space Marine back in an actual marine environment" amused me)
You should make a Custom CMS Exalted champion since GW does not sell that model anymore. I made my own using a slaves of darkness exalted hero but I bet you could do something why better!
So, Newsh is 'just' a drying retarder? Because that's not that new, nor new-ish. Either way, i still think Minipainter's are sleeping on Gouache paints for Weathering
It's not just a drying retarder, it's just the closest existing product I could think of. It has similar properties but it also allows for a degree of reactivation among other qualities. I do find it works better over larger vehicles though, check out my Krieg Tank for how it looks across a larger surface.
