I'm Okay with 30 minutes. Pieces take as long as They need to take. Your Videos are Well Produced and You've been chock full of Content. Are You a Teacher or Someone who does Presentations? You're so Calm and at Ease. Like You've done it a Million times. Nicely Done on the Dresser! All those hours did pay off. You really do have an Eye for this.
Thanks for the kind words! Ha, I am not a teacher but I think when you love what you do talking about it is easy! I've always had a interest in furniture and have been refinishing furniture on and off for years :)
You saved this wee dresser and did so very, very well. Great problem solving. The end result was worth it.
Thanks kindly! 😉
This is fantastic! In the middle there, I would have taken it outside and put it on fire. 😂. The outcome is so gorgeous.
I don't mind a longer video if it has good content, and this did! Didn't even cross my mind it was longer until you mentioned it, I was so fascinated😃!
Thanks! I know...it look so bad after I stripped it! Still couldn't tell there was nice walnut about to reveal itself!
It really came out beautiful. It is the perfect size dresser for any room. It will live on for many more years.
Thank you! I really like the small dressers like this one, not so common! 😀
WOW!! This was a labor of love. You returned it to its former glory. Absolutely gorgeous piece.
Wow, thank you! ☺️
Wow! That turned out beautifully. I enjoy longer videos as long as there’s action! 😁
Thanks for the input! 😊
Agree!
nothing i love more than a 30 min DIY video !! (no sarcasm!!) this looks beautiful
Turned out excellent. The walnut tone was perfect.
Thanks! ☺️
WOW!!! Just WOW! so freaking amazing
☺️ I am blushing .....thanks so much!
Definitely worth more than a dollar now! Looks great - well done!
Couldn't agree more! 😃
The second piece of wood you got looks suspiciously like mahogany. The grain is WAY different. That said, you did everything right. Your repair was very professional. And when it was time for the reveal I was truly amazed at what a beautiful result you accomplished. It's great. Bravo!! And the time on this one was not excessive. You showed us a lot of things, and explained and even showed us how, so 30 minutes is perfectly appropriate. This little chest is absolutely beautiful. Good job.
Thanks for the kind words. It was a lot of work for such a small piece but definitely worth it! 😊
YOWZA! This is both a restoration and a transformation! Why on earth would anyone paint over such beautiful wood grain?
Thanks. I think people just get tired of the wood look, and then they paint, I don't mind paint but not crazy about it when it covers beautiful woodgrain! 🙂
@@mcmredo I agree. I have a few painted pieces that I bought new, but I have absolutely no idea what they look like under the paint. One of my mom’s friends got depressed by the dark stained furniture in her living room, so she bought a gallon of white and some pastel samples and repainted everything while she was watching her shows. She liked the new look, but I still wished she had been able to strip and restain everything a little lighter so that wood grain could show through.
Amazing job and the longer vids are perfect. I also like the sanding and scraping. It makes for great amsr❤
You are simply INCREDIBLE! What a beautifuljob. 30 minutes is great! I like the back stories of finding lost or unwanted pieces and transforming them to for!er beauty. ❤🙂❤
Wow, thank you! 😃
lovely.
the time, the patience, the hard work and skill, the results. All of it.
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it! 😀
You can definitely tell it’s a labour of love. So many times I would have given up on the project. Another beautifully finished piece!
Thanks Kelly, this one took a bit of vision for sure! 😉
What a lovely result, I prefer the shorter version but each to their own.
Thanks for the feedback! 😌
You do amazing work. I’d still watch if was longer.❤
Thanks for the kind words! ☺️
Wow! What a transformation. A nice piece of furniture instead of more junk in the landfill. 👍🏻
Exactly! Thanks 😌
Much more interesting piece with the paint off and excellent repairs.
Thanks! 😄
Take as long as u need to…pieces look great 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
It turned out beautiful and your idea for fixing the swollen part was just brilliant!
Thank you - you sometimes have to use what you have on hand! 😁
Thanks so much! 😊
WOW it's gorgeous ❤Varathane makes a product called Wood Hardener. You can get it at homedepot etc. I used it for the exact same problem..wood in-between was so soft. You pour it in like water and it takes a good amount like soak it. Clamp down with a block of wood and let it dry overnight. It's fantastic
Thanks for the info. I’ll have to give it a try. 🙂
Wow 😮 what an enormous amount of work! Great job 🎉! It looks amazing ❤
It was A LOT of work. But I get tremendous satisfaction from it! Thanks! 😌
What an amazing job you did! I think the length of the video is fine, people need to know when things take longer then expected and you always give such great information it is worth watching to the end. Kudos for not giving up! It is beautiful now!!
Thank you so much! 😀

New viewer/subscriber here. Thanks so much for the idea removing some of the swollen particle board to fix the misshapen top. Will try something similar to repair a coffee table. The fix on the drawer pull is really good. Great job.

Greetings from Canada. Thanks! 😊
TBH I didn't even realize it was 29 mins till you mentioned it.
Perfect....I won't worry so much about the time then!
New here, like the long video, you're a very hard working restaurer, like stained wood, beautifull dresser❤
Thanks, I like to save pieces that are forgotten and nobody wants!
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🤩🤩🤩🤩
Thanks! 😀
Bubble fix. INGENIUS!!!!!
Half the fun of furniture restoration is in figuring out "How-to...."!
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Merci! 🥰
the length doesn't bother me, it showed just how many hours you devoted to this piece from the landfill. and it is beautiful...new subbie..enjoyed to video.
Awesome, thank you!
Beautiful. You did a great job. What is the stain that you used? The can looked like General Finishes but would like to know the colour you used please
Good eye, it was General Finishes in the colour Nutmeg. I will try to add some product links the description later on today.
🚶♂️ 😊
Did you test the paint for lead before stripping? Maybe that’s why it was hard to remove. Loved the results! I like the longer videos😁
no I did not, 😳 I should have! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Hi,
Bravo bravo bravo! The piece looks terrific. What a sharp little dresser. Is it a keep or a sell?
Thanks
I am going to sell this one...no room left in my house! 🥲
It’s a sell, unfortunately I’ve run out of space!
I have heard about a product that is called wood hardener. Wonder if that would work on spongey particle board.
Someone else mentioned that....I'll have to look into it! Thanks!
25:23 For as dark as that stain went on, it lightened to a very pleasing ... chestnut?
Comment re: length: Actually, I didn't notice. The video maintained my interest!
Sometimes the different lighting conditions affect the way the stain looks. It often comes across darker under the artificial lights (garage) and lighter looking in natural light. 🤨
New viewer here. Great job and innovative repairs! Could you share the brand and color of the stain you used, please ? I really like the warm tones on the walnut ! Just subscribed now.
I was also wondering
General Finishes gel stain in the colour Nutmeg....will post product links in my description soon! Thanks for Subscribing!

You need a heat gun.
I have one! 😂😂😂
Amazing job and the longer vids are perfect. I also like the sanding and scraping. It makes for great amsr❤
Thanks! ☺
