Love the MU X and its good to get an opinion on it that isnt from some whinging Australian motor journalist who would rather be driving a Volkswagon Golf. I also loved this presenter. my favourite part was his strict adherence to NO scripting and that he just appeared to comment on things around the cabin as he found them... for the first time. this was very entertaining. thanks mate.
I would like to mention that Isuzu mu-X engine is an extraordinary performer. It's flat torque is amazing. It doesn't require frequent gear change. I've taken average of 14.4 kmpl at constant speed of ninety between Kurukshetra to Ambala. It is a dark horse amongst its competitors. It is serious off-roader. Tumble seats are leaving behind ford endeavour.
It is good choice. Worth buying.
For those who are criticising its cosmetic features....have to listen this...This car is all about its Engine ...
At first, very good and honest review. This car is definitely ahead of Fortuner, and back of Endeavor. It's between this two cars.
the Chevrolet Tavera is actually from Isuzu panther, in 1994 Isuzu given authority rights GM but they launched in India with the same emition 1990 engine on 2003-04.Isuzu is a great engine.
Nice and honest review. you didn't mentioned that it share the same platform with Chevrolet trailblazer.
MuX may not have the strongest or fastest engine, it may even have one of the loudest engine while idling and running. It may not even look cool or elegant. But I value my MuX. And WE value our rides. Because its features like space, reliability, relative ride comfort and ease of maintenance matter most for us.

They should have launched the newer model of the MUX
It looks outdated when compared to the Endeavour and Fortuner
It is somewhere in between but we wouldn't really say dated.
I fell the d max is more vfm as both of these cars are based on the same chassis and everything else but for someone who wants a bigger engine and 7 seats it's still much more cheaper than its completion.

Good review. A bit of off road preview and how 4-wd modes perform in sticky situation would have added more clarity for potential buyers.
Nice review. Looks and sounds like a powerful monster; that growl when you floor it down ... LOL.
I think Isuzu should have also offered/ done the following:
1. Offered a Manual Transmission ( My Personal Choice: I Love Manual Transmission)
2. Telescopic Steering apart from the Tilt ~
3. Should have insulated proper wind / tyre noise seeping inside the cabin !
I really love the bumps ~ looks like the suspension is spot on and this Isuzu looks like dancing in the off-road terrains;
And finally, oh man, that braking from 100+ to 0 @ 09:17 is scarily fast for a machine this size; looks like Isuzu has worked on its braking department and improved a lot !!!

Great review. it's comparable with the endeavour trend variant as both have only 2 airbags, the titanium on the other hand has 6.
The Veg Chef Yup. I agree. With 6 airbag, it would have been a close compare between this and the endeavour titanium. But I 'very heard great things about the engine and gearbox combo in this MU-X.
The Veg Chef Endy is having a tough time in terms of reliability with lots of problems creeping in ! Where Isuzu stands with Reliability

it ticks pretty much all the boxes with nothing great to offer apart from the 10inch touchscreen which is a nice gimmick. its shares its parts from the trailblazer and the sheet metal is the same and the dashboard is straight out of the d-max. I would have loved rain sensing wipers and auto-headlamps as they add to the comfort factor and would have made it right there with the fortuner and even then this car is a deal breaker. Good review👍
Hey, I am planning to buy this car but, unlike others, my main focus would be performance. It would be of great help if you could tell me more about performance figures in terms of acceleration, top speed etc. Is it quick enough when compared to its rivals?

How bad is the body roll on speeds around 100 kmph?
Forturner is pretty bad and endeavour has very less body roll.
How would you compare the isuzu mu-x?

it's a rebranded trailblazer, exterior is very much like the Chevy and the interior is exactly the same.
Isuzu and Chevy are sister company
when will they realise that diamond cut alloys dont attract in a car like this. what this requires are rugged truck concave alloys

now Chevrolet is nomore but Isuzu can launch Tavera as panther ,and trailblazer already launched as a this SUV,and new essencia also ,beat also ,if they launch damn sure Isuzu will bang on road ...

Yeah that is a question we also have and we felt a manual variant should have been introduced, until we drove the mu-X. The gearbox comes with a shift lock and a manual shifter as well.

devil bazigar It is worth buying vehicle. No stupid unnecessary electronic gadgets. Supply of torque in all gears is excellent. Inner is more spacious and third row entry is very comfortable.

interiors is same as isuzu v-cross dmax...🙄🙄🙄 and if this machine becomes a hit simultaneously force should relaunch force 1..😂😂😂
