Nice video from you guys. A tip for encounters with these nice farmers and mountain people allover the world: If you want to give them something (and have only money with you to share), say it's for their kids (or grandkids) and they usually will accept :)

People in thetowns and cities can be equally warm or cold. But people from the villages are usually very warm and welcoming. Isolated people, like the two shepherds in the mountain? Even more so. I've had an encounter like this on the top of the mountain over my village. We call it a Bachilo, it's a place where shepherds take their sheep, goats and cows to graze until it snows. They are mostly alone, and they cherish moments like these, when someone appears out of nowhere. I've been given food more times than I can remember. Ofc, I'm not home now, but every time I visit, I bring some edibles with me. Maybe sweets, or fruits and vegetables, to give in exchange for their hospitality, because they will not accept money.
If they spoke English or you spoke Macedonian (and they were speaking to you in Macedonian although you thought it was Albanian), I'm sure they'd have told you many stories.
They will not hesitate to share even the last piece of bread. That's how selfless these people are. Their treasure is not the material things. It's peace and love.

Love this so much and great to have a name for this place: a bachilo! Thanks for taking the time to share
