After watching so many Weird History vids I've come to the conclusion that history is full of people who'd hunt you for not being religious, being too religious, or being religious the wrong way.
Lol, likely why so many are turning towards non-religious nowadays or agnosticism. I never understood how any religion can justify bloodshed against another for simply believe the wrong or opposite theory... But then again I suppose it isn't a theory for true believers.

Fact is that over the course of the Spanish Inquisition which lasted 160 years, there were 150,000 trials but only 3500 to 4000 execution. So not that big of a topic considering that during "the terror" of the French Revolution which lasted under a year, over 10,000 were killed including the creator Maximilian Robespierre himself.
I've been watching your channel for 3 years and I have learned so much you are excellent at it; now I watch it while I work. a side note I'm Jewish and i really enjoy learning about my history
It's good to know what the Spanish inquisition was like but, for example, right now there are more than 2,500 prisoners now on death row in the United States, so 3,000 to 5,000 executed by the Spanish Inquisition in 300 years doesn't sound so scary anymore (but it does). By the way, the inquisition in Germany executed more than 15,000 people (mostly women) accused of witchcraft, more than 10,000 in Switzerland, but who makes documentaries about that?
5000 (max) in 300 years? That's like 15 people a year. The rep seems a bit overstated. Also doesn't the Vatican still have all the records of these trials?
