Everyone Told Us to Come Here in The Philippines! | First Time in Cagayan de Oro 🇵🇭

- Welcome to a destination here in the Philippines that may be one of our most requested cities to visit. We are here making a vlog in Cagayan De Oro to continue our Mindanao trip!
We start the day in CDO by heading to the Mapawa Nature Park on a slew of lists for the best things to do in Cagayan De Oro. So we headed out of the park but were surprised to see that after paying the 70 PHP entrance fee, the place was a ghost town. After doing some exploration we just decided to head down the river bed, where we were attacked by the dangerous Wacka Wakca Flocka Flocka Monster!
We then returned to downtown CDO to give some of our first impressions of Cagayan De Oro. We visited all the local malls in the area, had struggles opening some Vitamilk, and ate at one of the local favorite restaurants called Red Tail Shrimp.
Our next day in CDO started at another local restaurant called Boy Zugba in which we got some of the typical Filipino foods that we like to order and got a new item as well. We tried Kiping for the first time! We then explored the CDO uptown area before heading back to our hotel to give a quick hotel tour. After showing our hotel we headed to the SM CDO mall to try our luck at some archery and bowling before getting some food and heading back to the hotel, where an angry duck was waiting...

I visited C.D.O. & Bukidnon 2019 , its lovely place. DONT skip Bukidnon, you may regret if you dont , I like to revisit it this "ber" months too.
Tyler and Isaac, that Mapawa Nature Park is kinda scary. Next time you go explore forested areas, please try to apply mosquito repellent to protect you from dengue. Stay safe anyhow.

SO near Bukidnon right there.🥰.😊You will enjoy the beautiful mountain ranges there..the vast farm lands and wide Pineapple plantation..💙🌱Dahilayan Adventure Park is a must visit..🌲🌲The longest Zipline in Asia is found there..🌲🌲and the pine trees is amazing 🌲Bukidnon is the Summer. Capital of the south..in the same manner that Baguio in the North..😊

Davao the best city in mindanao
I love CDO!! I went there several times already:) It's 13 hrs bus ride from our city, but I still like going to CDO. You can visit Bukidnon too, then Davao after.. then Butuan, Surigao, Siargao.. visit the Enchanted river too. Oh n Camiguin :)
i can imagine you guys trying haunted places, filming at night and hearing eerie sounds. that would be amazing!. and specially you are in mountainous area with lighting limited to city areas, you really should try it! but make sure to say "tabi-tabi po" so you wont disrespect the entity living around those places

Being a Baguio boy,now I have an idea how Visayas and Mindanao look like especially their malls.
Bukidnon is close to cagayan. The scenery there is awesome😊
Gigantes Island is also beautiful.. Leyte and Samar Islands are nice places to visit.. there are falls , beaches and caves

I think the best way for you guys to explore specially when you have doubts if the area is open or close is get some info from the local or other vlogger that has been in the area. And the best is go to barangay. Although sometimes they recommend a tour which cost money of course .😆
Wazzup bois It was really nice to see CDO again through your vlog. It gives nostalgia to me haha.. it's just a little bit sad to see Mapawa Park doesn't llook as it was before. And I remember crossing a hanging bridge too and yeah there is a nice trek with a nice view deck. You should visit Amaya View in CDO. It's a resort, park, mini zoo, cottages for overnight stay and breathtaking view of CDO.

I'm from Cagayan de Oro but I've never visited my hometown for a long time. Where is that Amaya and Mapawa?! I've never been there

Also FYI if they charged you with entrance fee , usually it's because it's a private property (which most resorts in PH are) .. if it's private owned, not free.

@42:51 That is called salbaro or kiping. It is made of cassava and kind of cooked with banana leaf hence the banana aroma but what you are eating is all cassava. The syrup is usually muscovado sugar.

if you're going to try to open a bottled cap you should do it while you rest the cap on any edge then directly hit the cap instead of the bottle itself with your hands it's an easy pop.

Hey guys, I'm from UK, recently I was in Davao city, I went to outdoor Night club which is on top of Gaisano Mall, at weekend gets busy from 11pm, absolutely awesome, it made my trip. I didn't see it on any vlogs, I got taken there by friend, don't miss it if you go to Davao.
sorry i forgot one important point about our store culture: a lot of our drinks are crown-capped, from softdrinks to beer. unless it's beer (which most people bring home in cases), we open our bottles right at the store if we're going to drink them soon. but if there's no bottle opener, to open a crown cap, find a wooden table, rest the crown "teeth" on the edge of the wood, and smack with the heel of your palm. you have to be sure though, that the cap isn't one of those new screw types.
or simple ask a tambay... they'll bite it with their teeth for you... hahaha

By the way Mapawa was closed during Pandemic and they never reopened since then.
mindanao has a lot to offer.. many more gems in the area waiting to be discovered.. better to stay that way anyway to preserve them.. ☺️

Guys Go to Del Monte Bukidnon, you can see extensive pineapple plantation ,so sweet, Bukidnon is considered The Bagiuo of Mindanao because of cool climate

I guess because not too many people frequent that place/s or because of the weather, it's all about money i guess...but the positive thing is it will become what's used to be, more trees, pure nature, hopefully. It will be a good trail site, just nature and the hikers/trekkers, no buildings and good air...
I hope soon you can also visit Ilocos Region from Pangasinan, La Union, Ilocos Sur to Ilocos Norte, there so many mind blowing tourist spot here, especialy in, Hundred Islands, Bolinao Falls, Bangui Windmills, Vigan, Paoay Sand Dunes, Patapat Bridge, Pagudpud Beach, Churches and food delicasies like ilocos empanada, vigan and alaminos longganisa, puto calaciao, pigar pigar, dried fishes, bagnet, and many more.. thank you ❤
