    ----
    WHO IS JIANG YU SHAN:
Jiang Yu Shan (Hisham Al-Haroun) has lived 30 years in Taiwan practicing Kung Fu and Qigong. He is most notably known for being the master of the monkey style but he is also a master in Tai Chi, Bagua Zhang, Wing Chun, Xin Yi Ba and Wu Zhu Quan.
Jiang is a 33rd generation Shaolin disciple and has been nominated 9th Dan (or “Duan”) in Chinese Kung Fu. In addition, he comes from a wrestling family and is well-rehearsed in other martial arts such as catch wrestling (he has a good relationship with the notorious CACC Snake Pit in Japan).
Not only that, Jiang also worked as a special forces (CMC.SCC) drill instructor for over 10 years teaching hand-to-hand combat, tactical raid, entry team tactics, knife fighting and hostage rescue to Taiwanese special ops. Before that he was an army paratrooper in the German military where he got his initial military education.
Due to his respected status in Taiwan’s society and his high expertise in self-defence, he has served as a bodyguard for several Taiwanese presidents and presidential candidates. A foreigner working as a bodyguard for a president is extremely rare and unheard of in almost any country in the world.
To test his martial arts skills and proficiency in practice, Jiang has competed in various kickboxing, Sanda, MMA and Karate competitions, winning 7 gold medals. His biggest victory was winning the All Japan Karate MMA competition 2016 in Tokyo, Japan at the age of 45.
Jiang has 40 years of training in Kung Fu and has operated as a respected teacher since he was in his twenties. Now, he is a grandmaster who comes from very rare and pure lineages of Kung Fu and Qigong. This is why his teachings are not only very unique but also more effective than many of the commercial forms of Qigong or Kung Fu you see today.
It’s our privilege and honour to showcase his skills to the broader audience. Enjoy!

‘Exposing’ is not the best word. It has the common meaning that Jiang Yu Shan claims to be a master but is not! I nearly didn’t watch the video but I’m glad I did. Perhaps ‘Light on the...’ or ‘Spotlight on...’

I met Hisham once in 1997, in Berlin. Very outgoing, nice and grounded guy. I still remember him, because when we started talking about martial arts, he mentioned a herbal medicine that his master always had available, to treat any parts of the body for potential injury from training. He showed the knuckles on his hand to indicate a typical area where the medicine was applied. The biggest, toughest looking knuckles I had ever seen on a young man, who didn't look significantly heavier than I. (He was a bit leaner back then).
From only that one meeting I got the impression that's someone who's very serious about martial arts.

This guy is a master not because he trained monkey fist but because he is an accomplished mixed martial artist with a background in long range, middle range, close range and ground martial arts, and has real fighting and sparring experience, which is the only way to teach distance. So, if you want to emulate his approach, you need to cross train, which has also been my philosophy since over 25 years. The difference is: I do it as a hobby and he has dedicated his life to martial arts. He is an impressive man.

Back in the day if you typed his name with bullshido you could find a lot of posts exposing him, so he went and made a bunch of webpages like "the truth about grandmaster hisham or the truth about grandmaster Jiang Yu Shang" etc etc.. and put up his own videos on there, as they would come up in the search before the other posts exposing him. You see things more clearly when the hero worship wears off. Thats when the real respect begins. When the student is ready the teacher appears. When a student sees his teacher as a man he can begin to understand the trials and sacrifices he has made to obtain his skills. "Master" is an honorific usually reserved for the dead. A good teacher never refers to himself as a master and also deters others from referring to him as such. A good teacher thinks of himself as a perennial student. Always green and growing. In my school we only use four belt rankings. White belt can take three years. A green belt five to seven years. A brown belt seven to ten years. A black belt at least ten years. Mastery takes a lifetime, but those who seek it never find it. Seek instead the Tao. If you are healthy and happy at sixty you're half way there.
      Good luck

I could actually digest all he said and mentioned. Surprised he was telling you all those stuffs. Normally these talks are reserved after they learnt his method of Kong Fu . It's is to me only after would want to know why or where it could lead you to. Learning QiGong wasn't easy once it opened up did I wanted to know more about how, why and where it'll , could lead me. Developed my own curiosity about it. Without knowing what was the underlining reason one would not go far . Neigong isn't a necessity but qi gong is. Neigong was developed for fighting not for self healing. Qigong was. My 2ccents worth. Been practicing qi gong for the past 4 years and intends to for longer.

Mike Tyson, Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua- if they trained with the grandmaster in goldenbell, daoist palms (training and hardening the hand completely), and religiously trained these two along with lohan gong before a fight. Would these three still be allowed to box? Talk about immensely strong, invincible power esp. with personal training in person by Shigong Jiang Yu Shan.

Hi @vahva fitness. First of all thank you for the great quality content, I am sure it takes a lot of work.
I have an important remark though. Master Jiang Yun Shan has a responsibility as a master, and so do you as a teacher. Showing lethal techniques on TH-cam is not responsible nor is allowed by the principles of the same martial arts you are promoting. These techniques can of course be taught but to a selective group with a higher level, and only for a very precise purpose. Having the responsibility of a man’s life in your hands is something really serious. Yes, this type of information can be found on the Internet if one wants to, but it being shown by a master to so many without restriction is inconsiderate and irresponsible. I am sure you did not mean harm, but please take this into consideration.
    Best regards,
    Taïssa
