    After watching this episode, I love Jo & Al even more. Sharing with this young woman with Lupus was I'm sure so helpful for her!

    My friend Marilyn was not diagnosed with Lupus until she was 12. She had many surgeries in her life and had to learn to walk 3 times (including the first time). She was engaged twice and both times the parents of the men talked them out of marrying her. She gave up. One day, Joe saw her and said, "I'm going to marry her!" She did everything possible to turn him off of the idea. Her mum said, "Take him to your doctor." (Every year, her mum was told that Marilyn would not live another year.) The doctor explained everything to Joe and he said, "I would rather spend one year with Marilyn then my whole life without her." The doctor went into the waiting room and told Marilyn, "If you don't marry him, you're crazy!" They were married for 30 years. Unfortunately, she had a seizure in a confined space alone and her head was smacked back and forth and she died. They travelled all over together and saw a lot of places and did things. Yes, Joe died about a year later. They had the greatest attitudes and never let anything get them down. At the anniversary party I said, "Remember when you married 'in sickness and in health'? Well, I bet you thought you were going to get the good end of the stick. You never thought you would be helping him recover from a stroke and nag him about his diabetes!" She laughed so hard. We all have to just keep moving forward, like you dear Jo. I feel so blessed to have known them and gone some places with them. And I love watching you two beautiful ladies, as well. Thank you.

    I think ALL ladies ( no matter what SIZE), need Jo & Al for their Wedding attire! Even skinny girls have issues with flat-chested or no bum, no hips, etc. All ladies have issues! They should expand their size ranges for ALL!😊

    This is so hilarious. Every time I watch these videos and Jo and Al sing out, hello, hello, come through, I answer them out loud, hello, hello….
    Well, the other day I was out in real life, and a group somewhere near me met, and they were all saying hello to each other, and I said out loud, hello …

    I am not a romantic but I love watching Jo & Al - their message is so uplifting and positive especially when I am feeling down on myself I now have another reason and that blows my mind - my mother passed away nearly 50 years ago when I was a young teen from complications from Lupus - I have carried that sword of damocles my entire life - to hear Jo now -- I wish I could have heard that so many years ago. God Bless you Jo & Al. Bonnie -God Bless and I wish you a full and happy life.

    To the question "Who doesn't wanna marry their best friend", it is me, but because my best friend (and soul mate) is my sister. And even if she wouldn't be my sister, I don't think I would have romantic feelings for her.

      @@coraline1503 no, but having a child a normal way will be equally as hard for her, no to mention it might endanger her health and the kid will be very likely to be ill as well. If she really wants a child, she will have to work hard for it either way

    No comment. (Hope the bride with lupus will keep well). Hearing the fellow's voice- - - I don't know what to think-- - - and she needs chin reduction.

      When you don't know what to think, you COULD always try empathy, kindness, love ... there are always plenty of positive truths to be expressed!! After all isn't that why you come here, for a dose of Jo & Al's uplifting, affirming magic with all these beautiful yet wounded women???

    • @mel924

      @wendygorm Those kind of surgeries are expensive and for most people... it is not the first thing that they can attend to at the beginning of their transition..
      And... remember Jo and Al are not about judging people negatively. They are really supportive and uplifting.
      I realize that it may be a lot for you to get used to. But, does it change your daily life in anyway?

    • @taramitrovka2942
      @taramitrovka2942 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @wendygorm Unfortunately, you didn't follow your gut to withhold comment and instead chose to be ugly and cruel...sadly there is no reduction surgery for that. You chose to be deliberately cruel to two people just trying to be their authentic selves and who weren't being unkind to anyone. It says a lot more about you than it does about them.
