I love the 3D effect. I hope Nintendo makes another 3D handheld.

I am still holding out hope that Nintendo makes successor to the Nintendo 3DS. One with PS3 graphics, backwards compatible with all N3DS games, dual touch screen, a retractable too screen so that the game can be played with one screen if a two screen isn’t needed, larger screen, but a more compact system design, better & louder sound, higher res, maybe 640p or 780p, and a universal AC Adapter.
Also, keep the Game Card media but with higher memory capacity.

I can't imagine seeing 3D in HD with all the 3ds games and new ones with new gen graphics, out of this world!!
I personally think that Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell 3D, & Resident Evil The Mercenaries 3D should have been on the list but I still think that this is a great video. Keep up the good work.
I would say Resident evil revelations looks better and has more content compared to Mercenaries. So personally I would go for the latter. But both look nice
Framerate is part of graphics and making mgs3 18fps even on new 3ds does not give it any extra credit especially when it's a PS2 game
I would also include the 3DS Pokemon games, especially oras and USUM because of their use of varying colors to make the regions look fantastic, also love the details of the world in USUM, like the wind blowing on the short grass, the amazing foliage in general of USUM, also the game has tons of particle effects, such as dust showing when light is shining through dark places like the verdant cavern and tons of moves have lots of magical and natural particle effects of different kinds, the game also barely lags at all on new 3DS.
It’s true that the Ds and 3Ds had games that surprised graphically and I think it’s a shame that few people talk about that. Amazing and very good video.

Got a "new" 3ds xl with 5 games at the thrift store for $10. Pokemon Ruby Omega, Smash Bros, Luigi's Mansion, A Kirby game, and a paper Mario game. It's such a fun console.
Bro, I've always spent to much time on Dead or Alive and Resident Evil Revelations. My two go to 3DS games when I wasn't sure what to play. But a very fine list mate 👍😁

I would mention: mgs 3, nfs the run, spider-man edge of time, dragon quest 8, shin megami tensei 4, other monster hunter games, ironfall invasion and street fighter 4
Mario & Luigi: Dream Team is also very graphically impressive.
I mean, it had a charming art style I guess, but in terms of technical prowess, it's basically entirely 2D sprites - far from impressive (though I suppose that may not have stopped such games from popping up on these kinds of lists before).
@@N.i.E.M.O Not the entire game- the few battles where it makes you use the handheld in a rotated state is both innovative (as far as I think) and graphically _impressive._ And apologies are in order- I thought graphically impressive to be the equivalent of graphically beautiful. Thanks to you, I now *fully* understand the difference- it's the 3DS equivalent of a Modern Warfare and Assassin's Creed.

Can I just say, the Ring from the loading screen for Lego Lord of The Rings has to be the most realistic 3d effect I've seen of the 3ds.
It was to the point I felt like I could put the ring on.
I'm glad DoA got a shout-out. It was a great game, and the first I actually put quite a bit of time in.
I wish that Kid Icarus Uprising wouldn't break my fingers, otherwise I would've gotten it by now. Here's hoping for a Switch Port

Some of my favourites are the Yokai Watch games and Dragon Quest VII - the 3D of those games is beautiful, especially in the battles.
Wouldn't say the Yo Kai Watch games are too impressive, the models are rather basic looking, they deserve more attention though!

I know Metal Gear Solid 3 is a port but... omg, what a great port. 3D graphic and better gameplay made the gameperfect and use a lot of the potential of the system.

I love that many videos of your channel starts with a RRT4 soundtrack. 3DS is so underrated in the graphics department. Lovely video! So thankful as I am a very fan of 3DS library.

Using emulator screen captures is not a realistic reflection of what the 3DS can do, kinda misleading actually
Agreed but screen capture direct from 3DS is also not reflective of what you see as a player so I get why this was done. Resolution is much higher when you play in 3D which can’t be shown on TH-cam.
@@indexical1897 you can set the emulator resolution to be native of the 3DS to remedy that
@@blvk3 yes fair enough. Most 3DS footage on TH-cam looks worse than what the screen produces though. Somewhere in the middle would be nice!

Very good list, I'm glad you mentioned Dead or Alive Dimensions , many people tend to overlook this game but visually it is one of the best and the gameplay is great too.
In my opinion Capcom was the developer that better shown the true graphic potential of the 3DS.
Finally, Iron Fall invasion deserve to be mentioned , this "Gear of wars lite" looks stunning on the 3DS , and it was developed by just three people , great achievement.
The graphics were really nice but it didn't seem to be very smooth experience.
Dead or alive 3ds game looks like a ps3 game. Impressive.

I agree! The Nintendo DS/Nintendo 3DS are two of my all-time favorite dedicated handhelds.
I am very surprised you did not mention Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater on 3DS. On and new 3DS this game controls great, almost looks as good as the PS2.
These games are all really impressive yes. :) Missing one or two in the list like Ever Oisis and Link between worlds. ^^
there are many impressive graphically 3ds games! One that I like too is Yo-Kai Watch 2

Missed Monster Hunter 4 ultimate, the cutscenes are amazing
3ds/ds forever
the way Nintendo has backwards compatibility with the ds just makes the library for the 3ds completely massive. There are so many good games for the system and its a really great console to get in too.

If you revisit the subject, I would highly recommend you check up Shin Megi Tensei IV and it's sequel Apocalypse. My favorites DS games, I feel they look quite impressive and the 3D effect a little touch to the presentation that is quite nice.

This game may not be the best graphically. I choose Kirby Planet Robobot for the best 3D slider graphics. That game looks so amazing and cool with the slider turned all the way up👍😁. I have almost 30 3DS games and that one has always pleased my eyes when using the 3D feature. The billiards level and the boss fights especially look awesome. Great video. I love this type of content. Been watching all your vids lately.
The Kirby games are the best platformers on the 3DS, IMO.

A unique machine for its 3d option that to my taste looks beautiful
Mario kart 7 is also quite graphically impressive to say the least. So many of the tracks are astounding like the Wii sports ones. It brings back many retro tracks and remakes them excellently, and the nitro ones are great! Only complaint about the game is that waluigi isnt in it.
One game that blew me away when i played the demo, and later when I got the full game, was Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate
Yes and with the 3D Effect activated looks awesome.
In my opinion, monster hunter generations and pretty much all monster hunter games look amazing.

I would say USUM is the best looking 3DS game ever as it doesn't falter hardly at all graphically. No texture looked ugly and if there are blurry textures they are few and far between and the bright lighting of the region isn't afraid to show it off. There's also a lot of animated environmental details like the wind blowing on the short grass and the tons of particle effects such as dust showing when light is shining through dark places like the verdant cavern and tons of moves have lots of magical and natural particle effects of different kinds, the game also barely lags at all on new 3DS.

4). Pokemon ultra moon
3). Sonic lost world
2). Super Mario 3d land
1). Ace combat assault horizon+

Ocarina of time and xenoblade chronicles would be my pick for games that are not in the list, and you convnce me to play DOA and metroid samus returns

3ds graphics always amaze me. Would have been cool if we got an hd ds instead of the switch, and switch came out as the next console. Imagine an hd 3ds with a screen that rivals smart phones, and has slightly better graphics than the 3ds.
My favorite 3ds visuals are the zeldas (all of em, not just the remakes. Albtw looks amazing) and mario 3d land. 3d land looks so good. Honestly if they ported it to switch i would think it was made for switch.

On my end, I'd add the japan-exclusive EX Troopers. Sure, the story's nothing you wouldn't expect, and the enemies aren't that many, but the graphics are something else. Full 3D at any given time, smooth animations even with multiple things happening at the same time, even in local multiplayer(there's no online for it, and it is a real shame). Capcom created a visual masterpiece that is fun to play and watch at the same time.

It blew my mind cuz on a real 3DS it actually looks like the Switch version!
On phone it looks bad but on real 3DS it's amazing.
Same for Minecraft, with the difference that it doesn't look like the Switch version. It only looks good for a 3DS

Thank you for showing some love for Super Mario 3D Land, such a underrated game compared to most other Mario games. Frankly in my opinion it was superior to Super Mario 3D world.
I'd argue with 3D Land being underrated. It's one of the best selling and most recognizable Mario games and lots of people played it. It sold as many copies as Galaxy and 2,5 times as many as 3D World,

@@aweigh1010 because emulators are usually running on stronger hardwares which doesn't not represent the original hardware, more graphical Technics are added to games running on emulators,
3DS games running on 3DS hardware are most of the time jaggy fest and unpleasant to look at,, but when they run on Citra emulator they look so damn cristal clear

Will you be grading on the initial reaction to the graphics or how they aged over time??
Resident Evil DS looks great with the exception of the floor textures and whenever the camera is zoomed in. Unfortunately, Nintendo saw fit not to include the texture filter that would have kept the textures look as intended no matter how close the camera is to the game environments.
I am foreseeing your Nintendo DS best graphical list as mostly 2D games like Contra 4 and some exceptional 3D games like Super Mario 64 DS, since games made in 2D seemed to have aged much better than games on the NDS that are 3D.

MH3U, MH4U and MHGen/XX are all impressive down right on top best looking 3ds games for me. 3U and 4U even run in 60fps

Why do the games look so good in this video compared to other videos?
Developers just stopped trying with graphics after 2014. I don't think any other system can say that the best looking games came out in the first two rooms.
I remember first playing the resident evil revelations demo when it was new and was blown away by the graphics. Still impressive the 3DS could handle it, looked better than most Wii games.

the 3ds emulator has me vary interested and excited i want to play rpg games with dual screen function the touch part streamed to my phone with a controller and the main part with graphics upgrades on my tv. the ds is cooler than people thin in my opinion its almost like the snes on steroids its almost were the old snes ps1 and blah blah games went.
